You can break your fast with practically any food. You don't need to gently ease back into fasting. Our starving ancestors didn't hunt a Buffalo, then spend 2 days making teas and munching on watermelons before eating the Buffalo. Likewise, those who practice Ramadan go from dry fasting to feasting daily for a month.
Crazy I cooked all of these veggies last night to break my fast, spinach, broccolini, salad, asparagus, avocado and salmon 😋. Needed this for my spinning class tomorrow, if I wasn't spinning I probably would be fasting. These food is what I was desiring days before breaking my fast, but I'm going to do the vinegar and water before eating today. Thnx!

Good day to you all, Our bodies fuel is glucose. So simple soft fruits are by far the most superior for our bodies. The fermentation process in our system is key.. The gut bacteria eat the food and poo out fertilizer.. This is how our body absorbs minerals. Fruit is king.. Veges are hard and do not ferment as easy as fruit. So always do what feels right for you.and as you progress with fasting... You will be more sensitive to food and your body and knowing what is right will serve you all. Well done for fasting guys Love and light to you all

Thanks so much for this i just completed my first 36 hour fast. I think it was because I didn't have any coffee but I had a horrible headache for most of the time and by the time I hit 36 hours I felt horrible.
I just ended my 36-hr fast. On my 36th hour, I got jittery, felt dizzy like I was going to pass out, my hands were shaking lightly. So I immediately drank coconut water. It took about 5 mins to feel better. Slowly, I started to feel less dizzy. Then I drove to the nearest grocery store to buy organic chicken broth. I drank a cup (warmed it in a microwave). It was enough to make me symptom free for 1 hr. Then I got jittery again. So I drank another coconut water. This time I felt so much better. Then when I got home, I ate a small piece of cooked (boiled) salmon. Then an hour later, I ate a small cup of rice soup. Two hours later, I got so hungry, I ate rice with dried fish.felt so much better now
This fasting thing is still so confusing for me. I'm trying to get all the research I can about fasting so I can start at the beginning of a new month but I still don't understand. Is the ACV breaking the fast or is the MEAL breaking it? I want to get the full benefits from fasting. I've read that lean meats are best to break it and some people use smoothies since they're easy on the stomach. I've also heard that dried fruits are ok but then some others say that they're not. It's really back and forth. I'm still not even sure what meals are good for me to get the full benefits of fasting. Is that up to me? Is it just as simple as me choosing what I want to break my fast and eat whatever low carb meals (I'd be doing low carb diet) I like? It's just confusing to me. Plus it's hard because I only live near a Walmart, food lion, and kroger for my major grocery stores so getting high quality organic food is difficult... Like I said, just confusing 🤔😥

Can you recommend an alternative that wouldn’t be so harsh on my stomach (I am at a stall and want to break at t and figured the intermittent fasting would help me with that). TIA 😊
Broke my 6 day fast with a bad 2 days of eating and gained all the weight back straight away! And every day it goes up a pound! I want to fast the weight off again but scared it will happen again even if I break it properly!
Excellent video as I am a newbie, thank you. The one question that I don’t see answered is when you have the ACV let’s say, how long between that and when you can eat your meal breaking the fast?
What do you use to brush your teeth in the morning without breaking your fast since toothpaste and mouthwash usually have some kind of sweetener?? Thanks!
Vinegar is awesome for your body but I kind of am against putting it in drinks, the reason is it’s bad for your teeth. If you drink and swish it around your mouth it will pull minerals out of your teeth and damage your enamel. If you’re gonna drink something with vinegar in it you should not leave it in your mouth very long you should try to have it not touch your teeth or you should just drink a couple tablespoons in a shot and then follow it with a drink to rinse your mouth and get it off of your teeth. Lol. It’s great for you but it’s great because we’re not getting the proper nutrients and bacteria and enzymes in the foods that we eat generally so it’s kind of a supplement or a correction. Naturally we don’t eat vinegar and as far as our teeth go it’s not good so we have to be a little careful with that. I love this video you’re covering a lot of things that are very good information when I first started fasting I didn’t pay much attention to it and I got lucky because I decided to do a very clean very low carb diet without compromise I stopped eating bad foods completely for a couple months just to get myself conditioned and out of the habit of eating for pleasure or entertainment and egg yolks are an amazing super food full of vitamins and honestly Eating four or five egg yolks in a meal every single day is about as healthy as you can get. Now eating the egg whites with it is a little excessive on the proteins so you might want to eat one egg white with four yolks, Especially if you’re going to add some bacon or meat protein with that. I still eat a lot of eggs though I can’t eat for every day just because I really get sick of it but I did that for probably two or three months straight and healthwise it was fantastic but when you’re eating healthy you do kind of get sick of eating the same foods over and over so I probably don’t need as many eggs as I should now no I still have eggs at least 2 to 4 times a week. I think one of the most important things you said was to understand food, like in the beginning how do you thought some foods were horrible. When we learn how our bodies work how it digest foods what it needs and we learn how to feed it the proper nutrients and we learn how food works and how it should be prepared and one step that everybody forgets how it is grown. When you grow food in barren soil you get food without nutrients in it, people should really learn to garden and learn to cultivate their soil properly to mulch and compost properly because the food you grow whether you eat it yourself or you feed it to your animals gets its nutrients not just from the sun but from the earth and if you’re growing it in soil that’s why do those nutrients your food will be void of those nutrients as most factory farming and store-bought food is. An Amish or Mennonite farm is a good source for better quality food but even from Whole Foods or a health food store most of what you’re buying is pretty bad quality and people should really start growing their own and learn how to do that as well. Knowledge is the power and that’s going to take away anxiety and the fear and the frustration and a lot of these failures aren’t that we chose to do things the wrong way there because were using products that aren’t what they should be we’re preparing them incorrectly, you can destroy some foods by over cooking them or cooking them at all like potatoes and starches that should be resistant by under cooking some vegetables or not cooking them or vice versa and over cooking them. It’s all very complex but learning all of it and arming yourself with that knowledge is what’s going to make it work and make us confident and comfortable with doing it. I’ve also found that truly understanding what your foods are helps with your mental cravings. I still love pizza and would love to go eat a few tacos with a nice greasy corn tortilla but even though I still love the taste of that it’s much easier to resist when I understand what that does to my body and I’m not saying I never cheat or won’t have that stuff but it’s a lot easier to resist and cut it down to once or twice a year when I understand it when you first start and people just tell you pizza is bad it’s very hard to resist things like bread and pastas and corn and flour And grain products and starches and the rice and potatoes but when you understand what they do to your body and how they work it changes your perception of it some things feel good or taste good but we know they’re bad for us so we’re able to limit them better and we don’t know what they do to us it’s much harder to resist them and the knowledge is worth a comfort and success comes from

Dont use God name in vain, its a sin and will be used against you on judgment day
@@mktherapper6506 there are many names in the Bible but God’s name was originally in the ancient editions more than 7,000 times! Don’t forget to use it! Even the angels call him by his meaningful name, that in English translates out to “Jehovah “. 7,000+ times! He wants us to use it! But as you said not in vain.

Yay!!!! So happy to have you here - thanks for subscribing ❤️

Thanks for your helpful videos! What's your take on not breaking fast by combining carbs and fats since that will lead to fat storage?
Personally, I don’t follow that school of thinking. I know there is a lot of research out there, but I choose to have a well-balanced meal instead. As long as my macros are ending up where I’m targeting at the end of the day, that’s what I care about, and I try to have my meal after my workout to be my heaviest in carbs, but I also include fats in that meal. Hope that helps!
Thank you for this. I wanna do this fast as safe as possible. I’m only doing three days and I’m trying to introduce food slowly
Yeah I noticed since doing 16-8 intermittent fasting, my stomach and intestines have been rather painful, so this somewhat explained it, thanks. Apple cider vinegar is going on the shopping list.
Hows it going
Just lately I have tried organic pomegranate cider vinegar...😋 wow 🤯
I'm in 40 hours so far. Already down 3lbs. I feel pretty good. Think I'll go 7 days. I'll post the results when I'm done. Thanks for the tips.
How was your experience?
Coulda, woulda, shoulda. I coulda watched this video before I broke my fast too fast and qualified for the diarrhea olympics, but hadn't discovered it yet. I woulda avoided qualifying for the diarrhea olympics. I definitely SHOULDA seen this video before I broke my fast and the diarrhea olympics record. Thanks, Lacey. I'll know better the next time because of you.
I am on my 38h out of 90h water fast, I felt waves of hungry between the first 12h to 21h... since then, I am fine 😄 i lost 1.5kg since the start but most importantly I feel super great and energetic
Do you get headaches?
Please explain further about this water fast and how long it took for you to lose 1,5
I once broke a ten day fast with a smoothie made from apple pear and kale. Big mistake. The kale gave me stupid stomach cramps then I found out cruciferous veggies shouldn’t be eaten when you first break your fast. I’m on day 8 of another ten day fast and this time it will be avocado, and a little brown rice with bone broth. Day 2-I will have the same and this time add some kimchi and a little salmon, then a small portion of mixed fresh fruits.
Fasted for the 18 hours, and broke my fast with a bowl of grapes and crackers, shortly after that I was sick in my stomach and throw up 🤢, had to lay down for most of the day I was so sick and tire, felt better after a couple of soup 🍲. Will try tomorrow again to brake my fast with your recommendations.
Kudos for the video content! Forgive me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you heard the talk about - Dinanlinson Amazing Look Approach (google it)? It is an awesome exclusive product for learning how to quickly lose weight minus the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my close friend Aubrey finally got cool success with it.
I'm on day 4 of fasting and I have 3 more days, but I am so so nauseous and feel like vomiting although I've only been drinking water.
Watching these give me comfort.
Thomas Delaur would disagree about the veg has something to do with the stomach lining...Bone Broth, ACV, lean protein...no carbs, veg & no fats
Good Video!
Thomas Delauer recommends staying away from food that contains fibre because it's hard on the intestines...
I feel the best when I break it with:
1.carrot and cabbage leaf
--->and rest of the day as it follows:
2. some fruit with honey with some seeds
3. Oat with seeds and yoghurt
4. Cooked veggies with some meat
5. Salad with some meat or egg
I dont know is this good or bad but when I eat like this my energie levels are the best...regards
If it works best for your body, then that’s best!! Those ideas sound great!
in some long fastings in some cases, broth or whey, juice or fruit, yogurt or milk, veggie, egg or nut, fish or chicken, meat, etc
@@georgebebenis2395 yes, i see people say that broth is the best for longer fasting. I am quite new at this, I ve been experimenting for only 2 months and I fast for 16-20h. And at this type of fast I found this pattern is the best for me. Regards
Great options! Quick question ► I was wondering if you recommend quinoa as a good food option to include as part of a healthy diet overall, not necessarily to break a fast, just in general?
Thanks in advance! ♥ Jenny
Absolutely! I love quinoa as a carb plus it has a ton of fiber, nutrients, and protein!
@@laceybaier_ Wonderful! Thank you so much! I love quinoa (since I don't eat white rice anymore which is my weakness), but I saw that it is high in carbs and wasn't sure if it would be a good option. ♥ Jenny
Absolutely!
Thnx!
Good points. I have been on a keto diet for 6 months and am on it , first to support my wife, but second for anti inflammatory part of it. With RA , AS , fibromyalgia. Crohns ... pc of work medical. I’m to cheep to give my social security over to pay for my humira and tried anti inflammatory diet. FYI it’s pretty good! Regular diet does not help the crohns but I make that fermented cabbage, German stile, and once a day keeps that in track.
Very cool!
I am on day two... I am so used to eating BF at 7:30am, lunch around 1pm, and dinner around 7pm... yesterday BF was 10am, lunch was 3pm, and dinner was 5:45 (I am doing 16/8, with nothing after 6pm until 10am)... I WAS SO FULL ALL DAY!!!! I had to almost force myself to eat dinner. Today has been better... BF was 10am, I heated up my lunch at 2pm and have been nibbling on it while I work, and will do dinner at 5:30. Also had a cup of bone broth around 8am this morning when I started feeling hungry, and that got me through to breakfast. Thank you for this.
So... today begins day five, I weighed me on Monday for a starting point. I am 5' tall, even, 59 years old (post-menopausal = turtle-slow metabolism), and on Monday 2/8 I weighed in at 224. This morning I am at 220.6... wow.... I know the first week of a "new" eating plan is usually the best because your body is surprised and adjusting to the new plan.. but still.. wow.... I will take it!!1 I am so looking forward to next Friday!!!
My advice is to eat when you are hungry 😀
Omg so clear and direct.
Everything you recommended Thomas delauer tells you to avoid. This fasting is getting so much more complicated
exactly
This is why you people need to learn from the Muslims who break their fast and they do it for 30 days
@@radi2986 Muslims break their fast after sahur (at sunset) until the next day very early in the morning (where I’m from it’s at around 4) the rest of the day they start fasting again and when they do break their fast it’s normally with tea. So although it’s very impressive, a muslims spiritual fast is different from this type of fasting
What you should eat to break a fast depends on your individual goals and dietary needs. Thomas Delauer breaks down the science and explains multiple strategies. Keto, non keto, men and women.
Exactly I'm scared to eat again😩
This information helps me out a lot thank you 🎉
Loved your video and if follows closely from what I learned from Doctors on this channel but your video is much more concise. Thanks! Any advice on sleep issues while fasting for 36 hours?
Thank you - I'm so glad my videos measure up :) Regarding you sleep troubles when fasting, it's possible you're not hydrated enough - make sure to drink throughout your fast - ideally at least half your weight, inounces per day plus more if you're exercising.
Thank you for the tips. I had a terrible day of stomach cramps and constipation. So I had to fast for a healthy detox. Now this morning I feel much better. I didn't start with apple cider vinegar, but a citrus fruit. Didn't have that drink, but felt like drinking Milo (vitamin B fortified drink, close enough to your suggestion). That was before I watched the video. Now I'm going to wait a few hours. I thought of having some oats, which you didn't mention. Just feel bit nauseated to be having eggs. Thanks for the tips.
Completed 74 hours, still 44 hours left. Might eat my phone at this point.
Great video and very informative, but just wondering if I can break my fast with unsweetened Kefir and ground flaxseeds.
im going for a 7 day water fast and on day 1, i have been going to the bathroom so much, my parents are concerned (note that i didnt tell my parents abot me water fasting, or they will kill me with food)
I tried a 3 day fast right out of the gate. And it was good :) I may have reintroduced food a bit too soon but I'm taking it slow and I did lose a few pounds.
Thinking about trying it for longer. Aside from the boredom, I rather enjoyed it :)
Cool! Care to share details (what did you take besides water if anything, what kind of exercises were you doing if any and what you ate for your fast breaking)? I'm thinking of trying it out
@@TheCakeIsNotLie I found this website for after the fast. Most sites confused the hell out of me. www.google.com/amp/s/www.wikihow.com/Break-a-Fast%3famp=1
As for exercise, sometimes I can procrastinate, but I did exercise 1 out of my 3 fast days. My exercise routine isn't really intense but it was good :)
When looking for foods to break my fast, I was trying to focus on stuff without sugar as best I could. Hope this helps.
@@sheba389 much obliged!
Can I break a fast with juiced , celery , green apple , Cucumber , kale , spinach
Thanks
Not sure if it's relevant but providing some sort of time table could be helpful. For instance how long would you space the intake of ACV, bone broth as for the liquids to then bring in the solid? Also does kombucha would be a good option for the fermented intake? Thanks
I'm on a 40 Day Prayer and Fast .. I believe I will do some of your idea.. Thanks
I have acv water protein bulletproof coffee and oats made with water and vanilla soy. Then dinner and end with a chai tea with coconut sugar and a little organic semi milk. I eat avocado eggs 4 slices of bread per week. A banana everyday and blueberries and sultanas. I’ve lost 1.7kg in the last 28 days. I’m 52 in a couple weeks and going through menopause so weight loss is super hard. I exercise between 3 and 5 days per week.
What about seasonings in water like ground ginger, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, lemon juice and tbsp honey? It’s a drink have in morning warm and at night to help metabolic fat burning? And no extracts in coffee?
Thank you so much for the AMZING and easy to “digest” tips -:) So much appreciate it! I am new to IF and have found your guidance invaluable 🧿🙏 Could I possibly ask when and what fruits I can consume on the eating window ? Or no fruits at all ? Thank you so much! Greeting from (finally) sunny London 😉☀️
Good day to you all,
Our bodies fuel is glucose.
Well done for fasting guys
Love and light to you all
Look what happened to Steve jobs, then Ashton Kutcher after imitating him for a film..
Thanks for the light 😉
Right after I get up I drink water with salt, ACV not working for me bec I had ulcer history. And then I have my bulletproof coffee. Next my protien and fats..........after my little carbs😊
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
AFTER LOSING 90lbs with Water Fasting I have never looked back 🚨🚨🚨 WATER FASTING IS A GAME CHANGER 🔥🔥🔥
How do you do your water fasting?
"You can have a burger and shake, its not the end of the world"
Exactly what i wanted to hear🙃
I wouldn’t do that if I were you. Your stomach will hate you! 😂
How did it go? Did you shit on yourself?
Thanks for the video
I’m following this channel after watching this video. Feeling strong 💪🏻
Thanks for all the ideas. Are the yogurt, eggs, nut and avocados all to be consumed at the same time after the bone broth period or should they be don’t separately as well? Thanks!
You'll want to space it out, given that you're overloading your stomach with a lot of food at once :)
Iv just watched a tom deleur vid on the same subject, with a little more science. No bias. But contradicting advice im afraid. Nuts, greens, eggs etc. All the best. X
I may be doing this all wrong but during a distilled water fast I take supplements in the morning and then when I break my fast I eat whatever I want it’s usually some form of sushi with wasabi yes wasabi and lots of it fortunately I don’t seemTo have a problem eating spicy foods or taking mineral and vitamin supplements on an empty stomach
great info Lacey.. how bout the meal before the fast?
I didn't know that apple cider vinegar being good before you break a fast thank you for that tip
Very informative. Thank you!
red color like juice or steamed of pomegranete, strawberries, beets, tomato, carrot ,pepper, etc are better than greens like avocado, kale, lattuce, spinach etc? or greens, eggs, chicken etc are full with a few tomato or carrot etc ?
thank you!
Is Kefir a good thing to break your fast with?
Excellent! Thank you! ♥️♥️♥️
Thanks so much for this i just completed my first 36 hour fast. I think it was because I didn't have any coffee but I had a horrible headache for most of the time and by the time I hit 36 hours I felt horrible.
Headaches may dipend on bile, I'd check the liver..have a good time 😀
electrolytes can help but yeah, caffeine withdrawal headaches are no fun!
When you are confused get simpler : ask yourself " what do I need" . You don't have to understand the outside..focus on inside yourself.
Question I’m 5 months post op from RNY and I tried the apple cider vinegar shot it consisted of 2 tablespoons acv, 2 tablespoons squeezed lemon juice and 1 teaspoons pink Himalaya salt and got so sick like 30 minutes after taking it. I had sever dumping syndrome, sweats, nausea stomach pains and just felt horrible. Can you recommend an alternative that wouldn’t be so harsh on my stomach (I am at a stall and want to break at t and figured the intermittent fasting would help me with that). TIA 😊
I’m doing a 50 day fast rn so this helped a lot
Can i do avocado with egs ??
Broke my 6 day fast with a bad 2 days of eating and gained all the weight back straight away! And every day it goes up a pound! I want to fast the weight off again but scared it will happen again even if I break it properly!
I've been fasting from 9pm Sunday to around 5pm Tuesday for the past few weeks, and have lost 4 lbs. I eat normally on the other days of the week.
Did you over eat or was it that you ate junk food ?
i was told to not mix protein, fat, and carbs in the first meal? is this true?
That is my mistake why I am dizzy and gassy after I ate even my meal is low carb, will do that after my fast. Thank you for this video
Excellent video as I am a newbie, thank you. The one question that I don’t see answered is when you have the ACV let’s say, how long between that and when you can eat your meal breaking the fast?
Can we take lemon juice instead of apple cider vinegar???
do you have the apple cider vinegar everyday?
I can never get passed day 6 for some reason I just get too lightheaded and headaches and any workouts really burn me out for the rest day.
Instead of vinegar in water, can I put lemon juice and chia seeds into water?
How long after II drink ACV and bone broth should I eat food?
thank you for this, how long before eating should apple cider vinegar be taken?
I would have it starting about 30-45 minutes before you start to eat your first meal after fasting.
Trye chia pudding its works for me
Can i have the ACV in sparkling water?
What do you use to brush your teeth in the morning without breaking your fast since toothpaste and mouthwash usually have some kind of sweetener?? Thanks!
Just dont swallow the toothpaste and your good
U can use miswak.
Hahhaha
Hi. What are your eating window hours?
I aim for my window to be between 11am-4pm 👍
@@laceybaier_ Thanks for your reply. I've just started first few weeks are going well 😊 really enjoying your videos 👍🏼
