Cobb Is literally a decent veteran reciever that can be a huge help in the locker room. He’s not gonna make you a Super Bowl contender but he can easily play 15-20 snaps and give you 30 yards or those extra 5-10 yards for a first down and that’s it.

Which will allow Aaron to relax a bit more which will ultimately not only allow him to play a bit more in control but to boost morale around the offensive unit by getting that first down or couple yards when they need it most. Not only that but he can also help the wrs with how aaron plays from a WR standpoint since he’s built that chemistry with him.

Nobody said the jets wr core wasn’t solid……jets now have an easy 1,000 yard reciever in Wilson, possible 1,000 yard rb in hall, Lazard who can get you 700-800 yards, still have Corey davis who might stay who has shown flashes of being good with a bad qb who can absolutely make a jump with rodgers, hardman and Cobb being decent recievers and a young TE who can get you good yards as well. Hackett was great a being an offensive coordinator in the two mvp seasons Aaron had in GB and now he’s back to that with a trustable qb. mind you half the receiving core was doing this with a terrible qb for the past couple of years now imagine them with a healthy rodgers??? He has good weapons at his disposal no need to sign somebody thats gonna ask for a bunch of money when their focus needs to be on that OL. This is why Amari Rodgers was made to be the special teams guy exclusively. Even when he was horrible at it. Yes, he was on the bottom of the depth chart at wide-receiver, but with Cobb there, he was stuck at the bottom indefinitely. Aaron immediately lost interest in Amari just as he did Christian until Aaron was left with having to throw to Christian and made to need him after it was apparent he should have went to him sooner after the drop than not. If I were any of the other recievers already established on the team, I might be a bit concerned. Yes, they Cobb and Lazard will help the others with Aaron's hand signals. But will he give them the cold shoulder after dropping the ball an eye roll or smirk. Who will be called out? Who will be sacrificed under the bus? If adversity hits.

He is, and that’s all well and good, but business is business. They kept bringing up Brady, Brady wasn’t going out and trying to get Wes Welker to come out of retirement to help him in Tampa. Or Amendola, who did come out of retirement to play for Houston. And those are two of his boys.
Rogers wants to make it a clubhouse. It’s good to have fun with the your friends on the team, but if they’re not on the team anymore doesn’t mean 1) you still can’t have fun and 2) they ain’t your friends anymore. Like Acho pointed out with his story, these signings have repercussions in other areas of the team that can hurt the team overall.

People don't understand how subtle, crafty, cowardly and insidious Aaron Rodgers is
He brings in talent that is old like him and no upside like him and overpriced like him because he wants someone to talk to in the lockeroom and when his own performance comes up short he will deflect blame to these people who were brought in AND blame the organization for not setting him up to succeed.
Aaron is simply making this a "Sunk Cost Fallacy" for the NYJ.
    My Prognostication:
NYJ will give Aaron what he wants,no matter the cost BUT Aaron will fail and leave JETS with NO PLAYOFFS AND NO SUPERBOWL.

Sure he didnt get many targets but he came though in critical moments in games. Clutch 3rd downs. But this signing isnt even for that... its to help teach to offense to the WRs quickly. Hes a cheap WR coach who can actually contribute on the field.
