- Hello everyone and welcome.
Today I'm starting a new series "menu and settings" for kawasaki Versys 1000SE.
If you don't know it yet and you would like to know what are the settings, options and what are the differences between the individual settings in the menu of your Versys 1000, or perhaps you are thinking about buying a Versys and would like to know more, then I will try to show you and explain everything as best I can, and perhaps my help will contribute to making the right choice.

Super idée de vidéo ,comme d'habitude,très bien expliqué,en même temps ce n'est pas très compliqué .j'ai la même moto que toi ,( modèle 2023) acheté en France et je trouve vraiment dommage qu'on ne puisse pas régler le menu en français,je trouve que c'est pas normal mais bon ...je vais trouver une solution....a bientôt

I'll have to mount the satnav in the same high position as you did too. Great to have your library for reference. Keep them coming Andy, but at your own pace. Take it easy 👍

Hello Andy, in one of your old video you mention that you feel vibration during braking with front brake and that you suspect on brake discs. Did you solve that problem? I also have the same problem (Verasys SE 1000, 2019, 6000km) and on the service they determined that discs are distorted. Best regards, Mario.

- Screen Type1 only displays "Economical Riding Meter" light btw. Type2 does not.
- Screen Type2 is a lot prettier than Type1!
Also, the ONLY thing that annoys me is in RIDER MODE where you can program the Suspension to 3 self chosen settings for soft, medium and hard. The fact that you have to stop the bike, dive the menu to change this setting (for example from soft to hard) then go again is annoying and not well thought out.

Hi Andy, could you tell me the range of the water temperature when the engine is warmed up and you are riding at a medium speed?? My Versys 1000 fluctuate from 55 °C to 60 °C with an air temperature of 14 °C. Thank you!
My versys with low outside temp is about 60 - 67°C
Per the service manual thermostat starts to open at 58-62°C and fully open at 75°C. My observations when riding at higher ambient temps > 25°C will cause the thermostat to be fully open. Then the coolant temp will be ambient + 28-55°C above depending on whether you are moving or stationary. Also, at higher ambient temps on a sunny day the actual air surface temperatures just above road surface can be well above recorded ambient. This difference will depend on wind speed. At 100°C the cooling fan will turn on.
I have also experienced the roasting of my lower right leg with mesh riding pants when moving from a stop on hot day and figured out why. This is due to the four exhaust header pipes that are directed toward the right and then down under the bike.

I have been the owner of a Versys 1000SE (MY 2024) for a few days and I have discovered that the paper booklet supplied with the motorbike is little more than a "summary" and that for the most exhaustive instructions, one should refer to the one published online by Kawasaki... which however cannot be downloaded in any way (despite the price of the bike!)... so I would kindly ask you if you could also publish (if you haven't already done so) some videos on how to set all the other adjustments: the various riding modes, suspension adjustment, etc. - and then explain what the customizable riding mode is and the procedure for doing so.
I come from a Ducati Multistrada 1200S (MY 2017) whose instruction booklet was more exhaustive.
