Ploughing beans in with a front and rear plough rig.

Ploughing in beans, that were spun on using a fert spreader, early November 21. Used the front plough to get over the field quicker, then the ploughing was worked down with a Rexiius twin, to consolidate the ploughing, and to help level the surface for the Combine.

Are those front ploughs factory produced or are they modified to run “backwards”

They are produced at the factory like that. The only mod is that the front wheel is steel instead of rubber: Too many punctures!

That would have direct drilled beautifully, then the wheat next year too.

Thank you for your comment. We did get a contractor with a horsch drill once, and it made a good level job: similar yields and a level seedbed. Also, we do sometimes min till after beans, but seem to have worse volunteer problems, and for some reason, less wheat yields.
