Vintage ploughing with a front and rear plough rig, then a demo with a semi-mounted plough.

Winter ploughing with a vintage front and rear Ransomes plough, then a demo with an 8 furrow semi-mounted dowdsewell plough. This video was filmed in the early 90's. The plough depth was set around 11 inches deep.
When I used the semi-mounted plough, I had to go down 2 gears lower than the push/pull rig to pull it, although the furrow width was 16 inches, (14 for the ransomes). Front weights would definitely have helped, but couldn't put any on, as the tractor only had a ransomes front linkage and no weight bar.
