I kid you not i saw this 5 hours ago, abandoned all my wips after deciding to not start anything new until theyre done, and now have a completed top 😭😭
I started making this asap after seeing the video!! One thing I will say just in case it helps anyone: I was using the same hook size but a slightly bigger yarn (medium 4 I think) and I kept struggling with my project not being able to sit flat. So what I did that fixed it was alternating between rows with the normal corner as shown (3 double crochet, chain 2, 3 double crochet) and a row with 2 dc, 2 chains, and 2 dc. Thanks for making this awesome pattern!!!!
Just finished making this in black purple and white and girl she is the moment. This might be the most beautiful crochet summer top I’ve made, and it emphasises my shape so much, which crochet usually fails at for me. Can’t wait to block her, thank you for this amazing tutorial!!! Never buy crochet fast fashion!!!
Loved making this, thank you for sharing! So here are the changes I made that no one asked about! 1- I started new rounds in the 1st stitch after the 3dc ch2 3dc so it was easier to hide and I kept getting confused about where I was supposed to start. 2-On the straps when I got down to 3 stitches wide I turned it into an icord so I would know exactly how long they would be. I still slip stitched back down them. 3- Also did a slightly wider icord for the halter and just looped it through. If I wanna be super extra I can make different ones to switch out but will probably not do that😂. 4 - Also at the request of the recipient I wove in some additional yarn to the starting star to eliminate the gaps.
OMGGG!!! I literally have been trying to figure out my own way to make this top when I saw you wearing it in the Emma in the moment vid on the chunky boy handles! I was saving any star shape I could on my pinterest! Thank you for reading my mind and making this tutorial.
Thank you so much for making this tutorial!! I was seaching for a pretty star top for a while and this inn perfect!! I just finished mine and it turned out soo pretty
🎉 Happy Birthday! I love how the Star top came out, it's so cute!😆 I'm trying to decide what colors to make it in so I can make one.😂🤣 I was thinking pastel rainbow!
i think if you make two of the panels with the side extensions connecting the two!! then figure out a strap situation from there :) maybe the same around the neck and an another two over the shoulders!!!
happy birthday. Also not me putting everything else down just to do this is crazy because I never leave a project undone before starting another one. Haha well I guess that has changed.
Thank you for making this! I was waiting for this tutorial since you mentioned it, i think in a video from emma in the moment, then forgot about it for a bit lol. But this would be super cute as two smaller stars in a bikini top! I might do that 🤔
the second i saw this top on emma's video, i legit was scouring the internet for a pattern. come to find out you had this video in the WORKS. THANK YOUUUU 😩😩🤍 im going to make it right now !!!
Love your Top!! Your pretty pretty yourself! I was really looking forward to making this top! Still am, but have you seen the star baby blankets? I'm trying to find a pattern like 1 of those 5 point star ones but with the same design as your stop with how it ends around the belly and the back, but with the star working it's way out from a magic circle all the way out, less like a tripple, double, single, and half crochet points. I wish you lived in Milwaukee, I would totally go with you to pride or chill and pull together designs! I'm so greatful you made this because I haven't found better yet!
Hello! I'm very novice at crocheting and haven't tried a pattern like this before, I've made several attempts but it always bunches up and folds in on itself by row 3 or 4, I've tried both cotton and acrylic yarn and a variety of hook sizes, I tend to have tight tension so that may be the issue but if anyone has any advice to fix this issue I'd be super grateful!! I really want to make this top 😁
Very cute and adorable especially on you and being young 😜🤪 But I’m too old to actually pull this off plus my girls would be poking out of it too lol 😂 No one needs to see any of that lol 🫣😬😵😵💫🤣 But if I was your age and with your tiny body type I’d definitely make this and wear it. 💜🥰💜
I am following this pattern to make this shirt for a friend. I am worried I won't make it the right size because she lives in another state, so she cant try it on until its finished. Do you have more concrete advice for where she should measure on herself and where I should measure on the star so that I can make it the right size?
I'm using the same color all the way through and am getting confused with the tie off and jumping back a stitch. Will it affect my overall result if I just continue? Im using multi color yarn .
This is SO DAMN CUTE, I'm wondering if I can make one in time for when my family goes to see Ringo Starr perform in September. How many grams do you think I'd need to make this in a large/XL? My calculations are telling me 600 but that seems like a bit much
Any suggestions for a triple D girly? My top is the perfect length on the bottom and the perfect length on the sides, but I still don’t have enough coverage for the top of my chest when I put a strapless bra on. Since I have a bigger chest, I really don’t want to wear anything like this without a bra so I made it to match those measurements. But if I add more rounds it will be too long on the bottom, on the sides, and the top of the star will be at my chin lol. I have some rabbit ear pasties coming in the mail tomorrow that I hope will solve this dilemma, but I’m open to any suggestions lol. Help this top is so cute, and I don’t want to frog it just because I wear a DDD 😭
Does anybody have a recommendation for adopting this to a bigger body? I usually wear a size large and I'm very new to crocheting wearables, so I'm not really sure how to adapt it to fit my body! Thanks!! 💓💓
I would recommend still working up until you get the length that you want, and then keep adding on to the sides until it is full coverage across your body! However, if the top is becoming too wide before you hit the length of your top, then stop where you are, and just add on to the bottom instead! Then I would recommend doing thicker straps for more support, and maybe even adding a double shoulder strap option to hold up the sides sense they are a little tricky to stay up even with a fairly flat chest
Anyone have any idea how much yarn this took? I want to make a size M approx but have no idea how much yarn I should buy. I need maybe around 300 grams?
omg stealing back from fast fashion lfg i love this top so muchh
They steal from indepentdent designers all the time, it doesn‘t hurt them if we make their designs for ourselves
Not me ignoring all my wips to immediately make this
sorry but that’s what i love to hear
FELT
😂
Never felt a statement more in my life 🗣️
ME.

Do you think I could use bamboo yarn (truboo) for this top? Thanks for the pattern 🥰
watching this while i make an Adena cardigan as if i will retain anything
it’s pregaming for the pattern. i get it

hi lovely! been waitin for this one! I may have missed the brand- dk weight yarn with a 3.5 hook but what specific yarn? thank you
i believe it’s sami pima cotton in DK!
@passionitkelsie needs to make this!
ohhhh kelsieeeeee
I absolutely love this top! But I know it would be even MORE work but I was wondering if you could make this top but with sleeves? Sorry!
MMMMMMMMM maybe i shall try
Wish i could wear stuff like this but i canttt

35:33 EXTRA THICK STRAPS
Why do you use stacked single crochet instead of a normal double crochet? What is the difference if I used a normal double crochet?

did you try adding to just the sides (after you get the perfect length) until it covers you fully?
Immediately puts down sweaters I'm almost finished with so I can make this top
LMAOOO NOOO (do it just pick it back up after)
@@mrsmoonheaven maybe in Winter I think I need one of these in every color

Anyone have any idea how much yarn this took? I want to make a size M approx but have no idea how much yarn I should buy. I need maybe around 300 grams?
i had 300 grams bc i think each color was about 100 and i only used a fraction of it so that’s more than enough :)
❤❤
Not me just confused were the hole in the stitch I actually have to put it through
for which part?
Crochet in fast fashion makes me SICK. Steal back from them lol
Does anyone know how to keep this from sagging around the armpit?
I never understood dk 😭 what size number is it please 😭😭😭😭
It's size 3, it's also sometimes called light worsted!
@@Mothpunk thank you!!💖💖
how much yarn did she use? 😭 plz help
i had about 300 grams total (100 per each color) and it took < 1/2 of that for an XS :)
i love this but please slow down 😭 you’re going soooo fast, i kept getting really lost and confused having to double back. cute top tho!
Right she’s going too fast and talking too much
You couldn’t have just shown us how to do the star in the beginning? You have to get those extra views? 🙄
it’s not my pattern so i linked where i learned it from so they can get the proper views they deserve, yes!
LOL Forever 21 stole this from someone themselves. So, you’re ok as far as sharing a tutorial.
