    hello, maybe a helpful tip in case you want to have songs with the same BPM to start perfectly in sync quickly, and you don't want that there's a chance both tracks might start a little bit off each other. The mpc doesn't have to be running (don't 'play start') for this.
    - set BPM of the MPC in the right tempo of the song / part of the set
    - press shift + note repeat and choose 1/4th value
    - press the pad of your first song just long enough to launch it
    - when you want to start the new song, just press on the pad a little ahead of the first downbeat, and release it after the downbeat
    - don't press too long, as you'll start the new song 1/4th ahead of the running one, or if you press too long after launching the new track, it will repeat 1/4th after the downbeat!
    so just pressing a little bit ahead of the downbeat, and releasing just after it should be fine...
    it takes some practice to get used to it, but it works!
    good luck

    very cool. You could add an akai midimix, map the faders and knobs to replicate a controller, and for just a little more scratch really blow this up.

    Such a dope workaround. I’ve being using a playing songs from an iPad and using a delay to change songs without dead space, but I can’t mix. This is really cool.

    low key this video blew my mind tho, cause i have a 2500 and have used it as a "mixer" with a aux cord running an ipad as my (left deck) and i would load individual songs on my mpc and turn it off an on when i ran out of ram as my (right deck)

    Brother dope video, but do you know how to stop a song from playing if you already have one coming through on the speakers? Sometimes when I dj with the mpc live 2 I’ll be playing a track on one pad then I’ll want to preview the next track without playing it over the speakers and since I have one deck going through a mixer I can, but then I’ll want to stop it so I can mix it in on time, but if I press stop it will stop both pads or samples instead of just one. That’s all I’m missing from it being the perfect dj set up

    Loved how you explained it, do you have any tips if you wanted to use semitones during the live dj? cause it can sound cool if it was possible... I recorded someone else's song through the sample record and messed with the semitones and it was really fun!

    Excellent tutorial, thank you!.
    Can you send the deck A to the 1-2 outputs and deck B through 3-4 output to a dj mixer for headphone cue selection A-B?, or I can pre listen directly inside the mpc live with my headphones?

    • @1Tekneek
      @1Tekneek  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @denis vodek Yes you can do it that way, or just plug head phones to output 3/4 and select that when you want to hear in the headphones and select back to 1/2 when your ready to put it on the speakers

    Yo awesome vid! Question for you is there a way to pre load my set and then play pads over the wave file/song like beats and then plug my guitar in it’s kinda like djing but more just adding live guitar licks of the songs. And adding drum beats ect.

    • @1Tekneek
      @1Tekneek  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TLooP thx bro, so on the pre load , you can only pre load only so much before you run out of ram. Now with adding extra drums and stuff I would pre load that on other banks and switch back and forth during your set.

    you rocking that Logitech auto backfill camera? Nice talking points, i too DJ and am trying to find the best aio option for various hiphop production than for my mix sessions at the end of my podcast. don't plan on going mobile with it, but the new pc I built is overkill. Does the software stay on the touch always regardless of the owner? obviously, it stays on the live.

    • @1Tekneek
      @1Tekneek  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chad Grillz whats up man, i used a iphone to shoot it, u need to have a computer hooked up to the touch to make it work. The mpc live and x is standalone so no computer required. Theres no rules to it, whatever works best for your workflow. Hope this helped

    How does the setup work to control 2 traks.
    How do you assign the pads to start traks 1 and 2?

    • @1Tekneek
      @1Tekneek  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      U dig the song crates the same way u do sounds, then assign it to the pads u want , then use the volume to bring it in

    • @foohnwerk1223
      @foohnwerk1223 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm an absolute newbie, I can't do it.
      Is there a way to get the project file for the akai where the dj setup is already done like what you used.
      That would be really great

  • @4theyehiphop
    @4theyehiphop 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    haha you just need a jesse dean fader on this thing and you basically have that new mixer that took over NAMM haha

    • @1Tekneek
      @1Tekneek  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      4theyehiphop hahaha i seen that, now the mixfader is bluetooth and you can midi map bluetooth to the mpc so that may be a option

    Q: Do you know if a RELOOP Mixtour mixer would work on it? And, do you know if it's possible to pre-listen now with the MPC LIVE with the new update?

    • @1Tekneek
      @1Tekneek  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ruffian Carlos
      Honestly I dont know, but I wouldnt think so. U might be able to midi map a few things on the mixer and that may trigger the start, stop and pitch but using vinyl I dont think so. One project that I did do With the mpc live was a mixfader, iphone,technics 1200 and a iphone audio interface and plugged that into the input of the mpc live to record some cuts without the use of a computer.

    • @ruffian01
      @ruffian01 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@1Tekneek I was thinking about mapping everything so I can spin/mix with the RELOOP MIXTOUR on it. I've got a few things going but I just can't get the pitch to work right. It's getting frustrating! 😖
