@ranzee I like the vid - I'd also mention that if you map your controller to submixes and then route your audio to the different submixes - you can save the project as template and all you have to do is route the different clips/programs/pads to different submixes. This also allows you to map efx per submix - like verb and delay.

Does your MPC freeze when moving multiple faders at the same time on the MIDI controller? I'm experimenting with an apc mini, mapping faders to subgroup volumes. The track keeps running and eventually it comes back and unfreezes, but it is a consistent problem. And to make it worse, I did experience a couple of total crashes where audio would stop and the MPC turns totally unresponsive, only a cold restart would help. I'm hoping it's a APC specific problem because this feature would really open up my live set.
Hi Ranzee . This is THE video I was looking for. I’m trying to map my akai apc key25 mini to an mpc one sampler…mainly to be able to have a dedicated 8 dials to edit Hype synth plugin parameters (almost like a real standalone synth). Hi! Don't you have the problem that if you open this project again, the Controller Data are not syncronized and if you try to tweak a value the Parameter value jumps to 0? How do the Controller get its values that it knows where it is?
There maybe a way to do it - but I'm not sure. We have to remember that the MPC isn't a DAW replacement - it's just a sampler/sequencer. The fact that they've given us all these extras is actually a massive bonus. The MIDI implementation on this is huge for a standalone hardware device. I use it all the time for routing MIDI from one device to another - it works flawlessly. That'z what'z up!
all good 4 the MPC side // are the novation controllers in MIDI mode?
Hi uPPlifT, I'm not sure what MIDI mode is for the LaunchControl XL ...
@@ranzee (other/similar) novation controllers are default in Ableton mode where they control the clips - if to use with other HW, youhave to put them into MIDI mode
yeah I've got a few Novation controllers (so knew what you meant) - but I'm not sure if the LaunchControl XL has "MIDI mode" - but definitely will check it out.
HOW DO i MAP XYFX
you can't. you can only use it directly on the device afaik.
nice patterns. Are those sounds partly made with the MPC live synth?
A lot of external gear was sequenced via MIDI from the MPC and recorded as audio tracks or clips.
Faderfox!
“8 track Midi”? Only 8 tracks Midi?
since the more recent updates it can now do 128 MIDI tracks. this video was released back in 2019 - 3 years ago.
@@ranzee I was wondering how much else has changed. New to MPC, arriving in time for 2.10 update and I want to use it live, controlled via an FCB1010, being a guitarist/vocalist solo performer. Interested in what the best way to use it is. Looper, Clips, Mutes etc etc. Have a Korg Wavestate and so far have tried looping to seperate audio tracks from the 4 sounds in one performance. (Wavestae jargon)
