  • I made the world's sharpest amethyst knife using a 60,000 PSI waterjet and some diamond encrusted tools. Then I put it to the test.
    Are you or anyone you know going through a divorce? If so, i'm sorry to hear about it, but we'd love to help divide the assets.

    The reason the diamond wheel didn't work right is because they are meant to be used with a cabochon machine that applies a constant stream of water. If you plan to do many more stone and mineral knives I would suggest that you invest in one. May get a lot better results.

    Disclaimer: my hatred of geologists is purely theatrical, but if I did have to kill one for some reason, it would be very easy.
    I’d brandish my amethyst knife at them and they’d be compelled to approach. “That’s very cool,” they’d say, confident in their superior strength and endurance from all the rocks they carry around at all times. They’d shower me with very interesting facts about amethyst and hover just out of range of the cutting edge, waiting for me to exhaust myself. “But as it is but a piece of quartz, it’s very fragile, you see, and isn’t well-suited for use as a weap-” and then I’d hit them with the wooden baseball bat in my other hand, which they would not have noticed because geologists can only see rocks and minerals.

    • @t_g_gamerftw5075
      @t_g_gamerftw5075 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      But then the geologist mysteriously avoids the bat.
      "Humph, you thought you could get me with that wooden bat did you?" He pushes his glasses onto his face as he suddenly also appears behind you. The one in front is merely a reflection from a large crystal that had tricked you. "You see I'm a geologist who also specializes in petrified and opalized wood specimens. You and that bat of yours are about 20 million years too young to catch me off guard."

      It's true. It comes from the amorphous nature of glass. Where crystallic materials like most stones and metals tend to break along grain boundary (or along a major plane if monocrystallic), amorphous materials tend to break in a tapering manner.
      This makes glass and flint very well suited for blades. And obsidian is a type of silicate glass.
