I knew someone who went got a nice used car, and thought I can hit up the malls before she went to get the car and spent most of her money. The loan from the bank took care of the down payment, but she ignored the you need to pay for the car insurance right away, since she had issues paying the last car insurance she had so they wanted the money up front before she left the dealership and she blew the insurance money at the mall. The guy she bought the car from at the dealership spent $300.00 of his own money to get a cashier's check to send to her insurance company. She told him she would pay him back. After three months she kept ignoring his phone calls until he called her mom at work and talked to her. She paid him with her credit card. The next month the bank had some men at her apartment to repo her car. She only made one payment and stopped paying the bill then.

There's a couple of used car dealers around here that help people with poor credit get a vehicle. Many years ago they started attaching GPS trackers on the vehicles because it's a rural area and too many people were not paying then hiding the vehicles in obscure areas. The buyers would also change vehicle plates to make it harder to find them. If the person who buys the vehicle tries to remove the tracker it sends an alert and can disable the car. The car dealer can immediately go to retrieve the vehicle before the buyer can disappear.

Those pieces of shit from the first story are precisely why those types of car dealerships are a dying breed. And more generally, why no one will "give people a break". That's a very good point that I didn't consider. Many people hate going to dealerships to buy cars and many sales associates aren't always decent good people. This could very well be a reason why we might not see many good car sales people. This isn't precisely on-topic, but it kind of relates to that last story a bit. I drove a taxi cab for about a year, back in 2006-2007, and *every single bar* in our area had vouchers that we drivers accepted as cash to drive folks home. All we had to do was fill in the address at which we dropped the customer off, and turn it into our dispatch. They'd give us cash equal to the normal mileage charge from the bar to that address, plus a 20% tip. They'd get the money from the bars at the end of the next week. The bars would hand these vouchers out to ANYONE -- you didn't have to prove you had no money; you just had to ask for a voucher. That's it. Totally free ride home. I guess the bars decided it was cheaper to do that than it was to be sued into oblivion every time a drunk killed someone on their way home.

As someone who works for solid waste, there’s absolutely no need for them to make collecting your trash and yard waste that difficult. Municipalities and massive companies can massively overcharge and under-service their residents just for the hell of it, but usually the upside to it being a city/county operated service is that the residents get to vote on the changes being made or have their voices heard. So as long as you aren’t under a waste management, contact your council incessantly if this is happening and trust me - we’ve had it happen before - literally 12 non-stop voices can make a change. Can’t wait to show the office this, we love hearing when someone knows the rules and pushes right up to the boundaries just to make their point 😂

They encourage residents to attend town meetings if they have concerns about how the dump is managed. Most employees have been working there for over 10 years, which says a lot about them. I believe when it's time for the budget to be reviewed, they also post the Town Meeting's information on their website and Facebook page. There are benefits from living in a small rural town!

You did not improve the lives of the children, that can only be said by the children......
children never agree to be taken away from their parents ....usually,.......
yes, one day the child may see it as the best thing.....but that is if they can get over all the trauma you have put on them so that you could get your money, if my father was as the father of the child I would still love him, ppl still love ppl and forgive ppl for much more than this, so how much more do you think a child can love and forgive the parents that they come from!!!!!.........you did the child no good service.
you can not serve God and money at the same time ,because when you serve money you are only serving yourself........those ppl are wrong and so are you........ a few thousand dollars to separate a child from the family, and you're justifying yourself by
((( ASSUMING you did the kids a good thing))))..........even lions give the hyenas its scraps, and the young do not pay for the sins of their fathers......but because of you ,these children did.

Some garbage disposal services can be a-holes even in my country.
In a couple of municipalities in the county I live, they recently changed contractor, and the new ones have been frequently running up to a week late on their schedules or skipped addresses where the bins are locked inside recycling stations. Their reason for the latter has been that they didn't have the required keys, and thought that it was standard that the property owners should always roll out the bins to the pick-up spots for them, which is rarely ever the case. It has also always been standard for each household in those municipalities to have two separate garbage bins (one for residual waste, one for food waste), and if any household rejected getting the second bin they would have to pay a higher service fee, even if they wouldn't have any use of it anyway.
In another bordering county, they expect all two-wheeled garbage bins to be faced with the handles outwards, or they won't even empty those bins. When those bins have been filled over the brim, some of their garbage collectors have even been such jerks that they scraped off the excess garbage onto the ground and only dumped what's left in the bins into their trucks, leaving the property owners to deal with the mess they leave behind.

Cripes I can give a credit hint to people who are struggling to be able to buy a car with their credit and 2 kids.
Don't buy a 3rd row SUV. Buy a Chevy Cruze. It will cost half as much to buy, 1/3 as much to own, get phenomenal gas milage (my 2016 Cruze gets 48mpg on the highway in Maine in winter with me driving not as crazy as when I was 25, but not like my 63 year old father either, so in a place where you get good economy, and with a gentle foot, you could easily top 50mpg). It will be safer in bad weather and just in general, and most importantly - it would meet all the needs of a family.

They usually don't remember the girls names but, I'm sure if that last guy ever pulled some shit like that it'd end up the same way or worse depending on the branch.

    The car story
I don't know why but whenever you said the thing about the kids, it made me think of how recently I reported a family for neglect and abuse of their 10 year old daughter, I got off the phone with CPS and I started bawling my eyes out because I'm so scared that this little girl isn't going to get removed from the home, and I have no way of inquiring whether or not this sweet little baby got removed.
She is mid low functioning autistic, she has characteristics of fas as well as characteristics of somebody whose mother did methamphetamines while pregnant. I know her mom does methamphetamines and I'm pretty sure her dad does as well. The house is in such a deplorable state. I have no doubt that she will be removed, but her family has it in good with the cops. (They're rats) so I'm scared that this little girl isn't going to get removed because the cops like these people
