That 2013 season such a memorable season. They had a 2-1 lead against the cardinals in the NLDS and should’ve won it but man this game right here is my favorite Pittsburgh sports moment. Amazing

A Pirates Reds Wildcard game? A packed, raucous almost stupefied and spellbound PNC Park. Two dingers for Russell Martin. Shimmy Cueto dropping the ball while being serenaded. A slashing Tony Gwynn-esque oppo single in the shortstop hole by Jay Bruce. A homer from Marlon Byrd? (who was traded by the Mets on Marlon Byrd T-shirt night). Immortal Pirate First Baseman Justin Morneau celebrating the W.
Just a simple Yankees fan, video came up in my feed a decade later, totally forgot this game existed .
I watched it and smiled to myself that this game actually happened cause it seems to have been created in the laboratory of a mad scientist exclusively for the pleasure of diehard Pirates fans.

Baseball fans in Pittsburgh have suffered for a long time, including most of my family who are Pirate fans. Just like the Reds, your team is bogged and hindered by cheap and ineffective ownership. I have to admit it was good seeing you guys have that string of success. Plus Pirate fans are good people.
