2014 AL Wild Card Game: A Kansas City Comeback | MLB Classics

The Kansas City Royals hosted the Oakland Athletics in the 2014 American League Wild Card Game. It was a close game until the Athletics blew it open in the 6th inning. The Royals came back late and tied it in the 9th. After giving up the go ahead run in the top of the 12th, the Royals rallied for 2 runs to come back and win the game.

I could love to be 1000 and I’ll still never understand the trades the A’s made at the deadline. They had the best rotation in the league and traded their best outfielder for more pitching, and all it got them was a collapse in their division and a collapse in this game lol
