In this Kerbal Space Program video, I launch an improved version of the Skylab space station, with an extended crew module due to a wetlab S-II. Mods used include KSRSS, Bluedog Design Bureau, TUFX, and ZTheme.
I like how you used a Saturn MLV to launch the super skylab as it would be the only rocket capable of doing so. I think this is somewhat of a realistic scenario if NASA had kept geting founding, maybe if the soviets had successfully landed on the Moon too. Although I have to say that it's not very likely that the crew would have been launched on a modified Saturn V rocket as it would have been too costly and complicated to build compared to a Saturn IB.
Firstly, thanks! I'll admit that most of my videos are just intended to explore the concepts of these interesting rockets, with little regard for what actually would get funding. Secondly, the main reason I didn't use the Saturn IB is that I had done it before.
@TheOrbitingBrick For being a simple concept of a bigger Skylab it is petty good and somewhat realistic, although I know it's not your aim to create something 100% feasible. Don't worry about the Saturn IB thing, it's always fun to experiment with new things in KSP, and that's kind of the thing you're supposed to do. Comments aside, I would like you to do a similar video about a bigger Salyut station. It would be interesting to think about what the soviets would have come up with to continue competing with the US in space.
@@franciscoborrashidalgo7776 Bigger Salyut sounds like an interesting idea, I think I'll do that! However, if I do bigger Salyut, then the next logical step would obviously be larger Mir.
@@TheOrbitingBrick If you ever do a bigger Salyut, I would like it to be asembled in orbit like the MIR instead of being launched in a single launch like skylab as it was the method the soviets ended up applying with their space program

@@franciscoborrashidalgo7776 I've already done a multi-launch bigger Salyut with my Salyut 7 video, but then again there's other paths to explore.
Funny for us, scary for kerbonauts .
In the moment, it for some reason reminded me of the Voyager-19 ending (unrealistic space horror game), despite me never having played it.
please leave a link to your mod collection in the description of the next video
Alright, will do.
5:50 uhmmm ehmm Houston wtf?
KSP Robotics are KSP Robotics, what can I say?
That looks kinda soviet, no? A bit like Almaz 1😅
Yeah, I see what you mean.
What’s wrong with your voice?
I don't know.
What does that have to do with the video or the content ?
@@justsomestuff4172 is this seriously something that needs an explanation? It’s the commentary over the video. It has ***extreme relevance***.
