Finally, my local rocket club has had another launch! This was at a new field, and I was able to fly my Estes Patriot, Sasha, Spitfire, and Super Orbital Transport. Also, I got some nice onboard footage!

Jool V wen? *This video is part of my temporary hiatus from KSP* In this modded Minecraft Let's Play video, I craft an advanced biplane from Immersive aircraft, and use it to explore my world! I find all sorts of interesting terrain and structures, including floating islands and a very dangerous tower. Also, I craft a telescope and use it to start mapping out the stars. I might return to KSP soon.

engines sound pretty bad.
I'm curious what you think is wrong with them. Listening to it myself, it sounds fine.
@TheOrbitingBrick i got them right here...they didnt sound good enough so i uninstalled the tantares LVs. Its the repeating sound...i cant put it to words but it was annoying. Most other engines sound better. That ofcourse mean im losing the engines but my ears demanded it.
@@techstepman Fair. I have to admit the sound does get a bit jarring after a while.

The camera view is from the "Hullcam VDS" mod, for the desktop version of KSP.
What's RO?

Man the realizium mod really makes a big difference. Wish they had that on console.
Overall, I've never heard anything good about console KSP. I can't even go back to stock on PC since it seems so unfinished compared to modded; let alone an objectively less optimized version of stock.

RSS, RP-1 express install, RSS Origins (outer planet moons, comets, and asteroids), plus a few smaller mods that didn't feature in this video.

Yes, it is. However, there has been an update to the proton parts since this video.
Do you use kerbalism? If yes, is there a way to produce food, water and oxygen to build a self sustaining colony? Maybe with also extraplnetary launch pads? I have played a lot in stock kerbal system with mks and usi life support, but it seems that a game configualration where you have both rss-ro and self sustaining colonies is not doable :(
I do indeed use Kerbalism. My understanding is that it is possible to produce life support resources in-situ from ore and other resources; however, I'm not exactly sure what the production chains look like for that. Looking at the configs, it appears that some biomes may have the correct extractable resources for self-sustaining colonies in RSS-RO; mainly regolith for oxygen and water for hydrogen and oxygen. It seems nitrogen may not be properly configured and thus unobtainable in-situ.
@TheOrbitingBrick thanks for you insights, I'll take a look at those things. Btw, have you heard of Kitten Space Agency? Might be the next big thing (but it's soon to speak)
@TheOrbitingBrick I know nitrogen can be obtained through a mono-prop powercell as a byproduct of burning monopropellant and oxygen, but I don't know how feasible the numbers are ^^

I recreated the station myself but with some of my own stuff like different solar panels

just so you know trajectories doesn’t account for the lift produced by wings on re-entry so you will always go further than where you originally were set to go

What mod do you use for the station parts?
Mainly SSPX (Stockalike Space Station Parts Redux) and Habtech2, with some Restock parts mixed in.

your first stage should contain your SSME's and your SRB's and the second stage should contain the launch clamps. If you're using prime vector guidance on mechjeb2 it won't release the clamps until your thrust vector is greater than 1. for good rendezvous timings i would suggest launching at a 28.99 degree inclination, this is what was used for gemini 8 and means you can launch your second rocket into a same-plane parking orbit within an hour, that part is optional though

Mechjeb will always light SRB first if I remember, cost me a crew or two on one of my launch vehicles due to me panicking from the main engine not running and aborting too close to the ground

It truly is. Unfortunately, it seems the main way to get it was through the forums, which seemingly are no longer accessible.
I don’t really see drink milk to get rid of bad omen cheating, it quite literally just anticlimactic and less fun
To be truthful, the main reason I didn't remove the effect was because I assumed the raid would be interesting content. However, it very much failed at being that.

inline cockpit is why it failed so much. fuel tank hits it and tank explodes.
I noticed that during testing, but I felt that removing it would completely ruin how the aircraft flew.
@@TheOrbitingBrick imo, all you need to do is FLIP the inline cockpit upside down, it'll also allow you to pilot the aircraft in such a way to offer a inverted launch
(Thus getting rid of the issue altogether
