  • I became Muslim 2 years ago, I didn't start wearing hijab straight away but over the last 2 years I have been on a journey to wear it and now I wear it pretty much full time!
This has been a process of not forcing it and letting it come quite naturally which I've really liked and found most beneficial to me to ensure I am happy in hijab and sustain wearing it inshallah.

Salaam Ellie, so funny that we both uploaded our videos on the same day on exactly the same topic 😂 great minds think alike! Just wanted to say during lockdown you were one of the people I loved watching as we were going through the same things and you helped me feel less alone in lockdown… it’s so lovely seeing you do so well now and how life has changed! Alhamdulillah. Lots of love xx

You should try a Khimar! They do it in small sizes and they don’t need an undercap and never slip off 😊

Masha Allah Ellie...you look lovely in that color hijab. Thank you for sharing your hijab journey. I started wearing hijab only recently and am in the "sometimes off, sometimes on" phase, which I think is completely acceptable for where I am right now. You really helped me with resources and where I could find hijabs online. Thanks! I am also tackling people who have known me for 20 years without hijab now suddenly seeing me in hijab. For example my therapist saw me in hijab at my last appointment....it CLEARLY made her uncomfortable, but I strove to just be as my normal self as possible, didn't talk about it or anything, and by the end, it was as if she forgot I was wearing it lol. So in that way our journeys are a little different. I don't meet new people almost ever, so my only choice is to wear it around people I've always known. I am a bit nervous because I will be wearing it with a couple of old friends in November...wish me luck! Again, Alhamdulillah for all your help. You videos are so personable and sweet <3

I can easily tell you why you get a headache from tying up your hair and how to avoid it.

this is why always say be patient with converts and hijab because we are living in a unfortunate Era hence its difficult back in the days when non Muslim women wore minimum headscarf

Buns give me a headache too. I tie my hair back in one braid it’s much more gentle on the edges!

as being a revert one thing that is bit of a struggle to me so far is that I was kind of a loud character before when I'm around people I'm comfortable even though I am very quiet now that I wear the hijab I will feel bad for being a little to loud or being a little over excited about something out loud I feel so bad about doing it sometimes because that's how I kind of am. several days ago I acciedtally let out my frustrations in the wrong way and I felt so quilty. Other than that I am a very nice person I just sometimes have loud outburst inshallah allah (swt) can forgive me for my small mistakes here and there
