Every step forward is winning, every step backward is learning. So stay focus and never stop walking. Allah only count your steps and intention, the result is up to Him alone.
I grew up as a Muslim, but reverts are always something like a role model for me. It fascinates me so much, the way you found the truth besides the fact that you grew up in a non-muslim family. All the struggles you go through within yourself, within your family, maybe losing them or losing friends. And yet you continue on your path. It's really fascinating and I'm pretty sure, that the reward will be great in this dunya and in Akhira insha Allah.
Assalaamu alaikum Quai, it's wonderful to see you embracing your reality. I submitted to AL Islam in 1974 when I was 22 years old. At 72 years old in June, because of AL Islam I still feel and think like that 22yr old 50 yrs ago. It never stops being intellectually exciting. Never stop developing yourself by learning more and more every day. Especially the Qur'an and the history of our Prophet. Reading is the best method to grow and flourish.
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with reverting to Islam. I’m currently in the research phase right now, and I’m dipping my toes into fasting for Ramadan for the first time. Your story is very helpful to hear 😊
This is one reason muslim women wear hijab. Muslim ppl believe it is protection for society/woman. As they cover their beauty it makes it more important for them to develop their personality, morals and intellect, to be defined by. This makes them pleasant to talk to and hold real conversations around shared values, beliefs and long-term life goals that are also deep and transcend in nature. It prevents ppl getting arrogant and getting a superiority complex based on superficial trates. Keeps ppl down to earth, modesty. Trys to prevent self entitlement and Princess complex. It trys to prevent the commercialisation/weaponising of "beauty", by it not being a publicly displayed and traded commodity/currency. Trys to give women a break from having to compete with each other on just beauty, in open public. That can cause feelings of jealousy. Helps to try to prevent an army of simps and street pestering. As her beauty is for HER and the special people SHE chooses in her life. Helps to try to prevent insecurities trying to maintain unrealistic and unsustainable beauty standards, that are forever changing and expensive to uphold. This can cause mental issues in people and the sense of constant judgement and body shaming from people that don't know you or care about your long-term good. Peace

I love the part when you said that you don't face any social pressure as a Muslim where you need to conform to be a Muslim. It resonates with me growing up as a born Muslim in a secular society like Singapore. One thing is that, while Islam is a one of the major religion in Singapore, this is somewhat a liberal country where you are free to practice Islam and not having societal pressure. And like you, I take it as a blessing that being a Muslim Singaporean, God had bestowed me with His Bounty of freedom. The only thing that I have to think about is my accountability as a good person in general. And only He knows what's in my heart. Yet being a flawed human being, I too am given the choice of free will in that the gift of logical mind it's up to me to do the right thing.
i am very happy for you from the bottom of my heart, seriously i want more western people to accept islam so that we can pray togather in macca and perform hajj

asalamu alaikum sister! may Allah continue to guide you and bring you closer to Him always. listening to you speak makes me feel like we would be great friends! im also a revert as of 3 years and Allah swt absolutely changed my life. my small advice to is to always come back to the Quran and you’re relationship with God. i hope Allah swt makes your path easy and increases our knowledge in Islam, ameen.
I can relate sis. This is Emmanuela from pip. I grew up Jehovah's Witness with my grandparents. I also had some family and friends which were Muslim and JW. In my 6th grade year after officially moving to live with my parents in the states I became Athiest. I questioned my belief in God and dealt with some sins that made me doubt if God was real and if he was whether he would forgive me or not. I was a sinner. I had a void in my heart, to find my identity or feel thag void up, i turned to things such as having the best grades, alcohol, sexual immorality etc. None of this did fill up the void that I was having. Times past, during covid something changed. I went through a tough time and left my parents house. My aunt is a Christian, pentecostal. She prays with her kids every night before bed. She invited me to pray with her. Reluctantly I agreed to but when I finally closed my eyes, I said "God I don't know if you are real but...." idk what else I said. But the next moment I felt his peace that surpasses all understanding over me. For the 1st time I felt his peace and presence. He had been there the whole time..I had yet to know.. He also showed me Jesus Christ the way, the truth and the life. He is the only way to heaven to the Father. He is the son of God. Man could not stop sinning. Al have sinned and fallen short of the glory of the Lord. Before Jesus we had to make atonement for sin. There was no guarantee that any of us will make it to heaven because we had all fallen short. The blood of goats and sacrifices could not save us actually, it was very temporary. So Abba Father God sent his one and only begotten son, he took the wrath of God that we deserve for our sins on the cross and that anyone who believes in him will not perish but shall have everlasting life. Through faith in him then we can actually truly follow the law of God. Without Jesus we are nothing. I got to know abiut the grace of God through Jesus Christ. That it is not by my works that I am saved but through faith, believing in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is just to share my story. I became a Christian and I was blessed to know that I cannot do anything to please God or get to heaven because my own strength constantly fails me but God gave mercy and grace to me. He gives this to me through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am blessed to hear your testimony and continue being a light. Don't give up on God cause he won't give up on you.Jesus loves you and died and rose again for your sins.
Jesus (Peace be upon him) Is not God nor did he die for anyone's sins, No where in the bible does it ever call Jesus as God directly or indirectly. There are absolutely tons of video's to make you question the origin of Pauls Christianity and so many intellectual arguments to prove the false Trinity. Your post was another brainwashed (Jesus loves you) indoctrination message. You said at the start of your comment that you closed your eye's and prayed to know if God exists and then you stopped, Rather Ask God Almighty to guide to the truth away from polytheism to pure monotheism, ask with a sincere heart.
just a quick note: modesty in Islam. Let me outline the key conditions for wearing hijab: 1.Coverage: The hijab should cover the entire body except for the face and hands. This requirement is based on the following verse from the Quran: “And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not display their adornment except only that which [ordinarily] appears thereof and to draw their headcovers over their chests” (Quran 24:31). The term “Khumur” refers to a cloth that covers the head, hair, neck, and bosom12. 2.Thickness: The garment should be thick and opaque, ensuring that it conceals the skin color and form of the body beneath it. Transparent or delicate clothing does not fulfill the proper covering requirement1. Loose-Fitting: The hijab should not be tight; it should be loose and not cling to the body. 3.Not an Adornment: The hijab itself should not be an adornment. It should not attract attention due to its decoration or design. The goal is to promote modesty and avoid drawing unnecessary attention2. 4.Not Perfumed: The hijab should not be perfumed. Fragrance is discouraged as it may attract attention. Not Resemble Men’s Clothing: The hijab should not resemble men’s attire. It should be distinctively feminine. 5.Not Resemble Disbelieving Women’s Dress: The hijab should not resemble the clothing of non-Muslim women. 6.Not for Fame or Vanity: The hijab should not be worn for fame or vanity. It should not be extravagant or excessively opulent345. 7.Remember that the hijab is not just about clothing; it also encompasses behavior and promotes privacy and decency. These requirements are agreed upon by the majority of Islamic scholars and are supported by evidence from the Quran, Sunnah (Prophetic traditions), and the practice of the Companions of the Prophe thats all , take care and know that you are doing this for the sake of allah.
I grew up Muslim. My mom was raised Christian and for reasons similar to yours chose Islam before I was born. I’m not the perfect Muslim but Islam is the only religion I have ever truly connected with. mashallah!!! im happy for you sis
Thank you for sharing this testimony. I was looking for messages from Christians to shed the Truth and Good News of Jesus Christ 🫶🏾

Ma's ha allah congratulations to be a Muslims Allah bless you Aameen.
just a quick note: modesty in Islam. Let me outline the key conditions for wearing hijab:
1.Coverage: The hijab should cover the entire body except for the face and hands.
These requirements are agreed upon by the majority of Islamic scholars and are supported by evidence from the Quran, Sunnah (Prophetic traditions), and the practice of the Companions of the Prophe
