  • WORST MILWAUKEE TOOL ACCESSORY EVER MADE (what are they thinking?) In this video we show the #verycoolgang the worst Milwaukee tool accessory ever made in our opinion. This Milwaukee tool accessory comes in most if not all M12 tool kits and makes no sense at all. What is Milwaukee tool thinking by putting this horrible accessory inside their M12 kits? Let us know your thoughts on this Milwaukee tool accessory in the comments section below and if you think it is the worst one they make.

I absolutely agree with you. My first M12 was a surge when i opened the bag and saw the charger i thought they did a mistake. 3 things in my opinion need to change regarding chargers.
    1. Chargers need to charge both platforms.
    2. Chargers should charge simultaneously regardless of the platform.
    3. Adding the USB ports.
I liked how you smashed that M12 charger so, i smashed the like button.

I’ve been doing the switch since the new year being a 25+ years Makita guy
I’ve spent at least 5grand in 8 months and I’m just starting my biggest complaint with Milwaukee is their charger it sucks every kit or tool should come with a rapid charger and for tools that require 2 or big batteries they should include dual rapid or super chargers
Makita has dual charger standard with their 2 battery tools and its free and extremely fast charge time
also the back Backpack vacuums doesn’t suck or not good it can barley pick up floor they should re-engineer it with the power or they’re leaf blower motor also they should move the switch to turn on and off to the hand held wand so silly bad engineers

As soon as I saw the title of this video, the m12 charger was the first thing that came into my mind. First entering the m12 platform getting one was nice, but before I knew it that number jumped to five of them and now they all just sit and collect dust between my job site and home. A multi-volt charger would bring more utility and be a lot better, thank you for telling the truth and calling it like it is! The sledge hammer scene at the end was hilarious.

Vince, I think it makes a lot more sense from a simplicity standpoint (and even cost) for Milwaukee to sell all their tools with the m18/m12 charger combo, like you mentioned. I do think that would be the most popular for the average DYI'er and even a lot of professional industries. However, for a lot of contractors like myself, I'd rather the tool kits would come with chargers that are able to charge two of the same platform batteries at once. (M18 kits come with dual M18 battery chargers). I'm more likely to buy more (bare) tools and batteries for my M18 platform, than I am to go M12. So I'd rather have a charger that can handle 2 batteries at once than one that can charge one and have an empty slot that I can't use. And no one likes empty slots!

You’re right. It took me a very long time to pick up any M18 tools for that very reason. I have been heavily invested in M12 for a long time but had been very hesitant to jump into M18. I still prefer my Metabo HPT multivolt tools but with a limited selection of those tools I would have picked up some M18 offerings much earlier but I never wanted the extra cost of a charger if I jumped on a bare tool free battery offer.

I was able to use the M12 solo charger for recharging the m12 compact vacuum battery since it lives near the broom and mop in a utility area. The compact vacuum is like a super dust buster, good for around the house. I do wish they only made the multi-volt charger, however, it reeks of saving a buck and doesn't promote just buying all their platform.

I’be been fortunate enough to have two Son in Laws to give an M12 charger to. However, Milwaukee is doing a disservice to themselves by most of us having a box of M12 chargers vs a box of M12/M18 chargers! They’re screwing the proverbial pooch!

The pin nailer replaced my 18v brad nailer and enabled me to confine my kit to one rolling packout. And absolutely love how the m12 fuel driver disappears in my belt bag. God is that the truth. I decided to adopt the M12 system before the M18 and the M12 chargers as a whole just bother me. This is 100% me. I have all 20v Dewalt tools. I started buying the M12 stuff for my wife and I decided I like them as well. There have been at least 4 situations now where I would have bought an M18 tool because it came with the batteries but didn't because the charger wasn't included and I didn't want to try and get one cheap somewhere else and I wasn't going to spend $99 on the charger at HD. I passed on the tool. 8 M12 tools 4 came with chargers. If one had the M18 charger I would have bought at least 3 of the M18 tools by now. The reason I haven't, I have 15 yellow batteries so bare tool is always cheaper than M18 tool with free battery plus a charger.

I feel the exact same way. I bought a heated jacket years ago. It uses M12, I want to get into some M18 tools< but now I need to buy a new charger.

I could not possibly agree with you more. I’m on the M18 platform and I’m slowly building my M 12 collection it was definitely persuaded by the multi volt charger it makes it a practical and seamless addition. It also makes the M 12 charger ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS!! And a complete waist Which is ironic because I acquired M 12 tools to utilize the multi volt charger because I hate waste.

Agree with you comments, funny thing the FLEX cordless polishers are 18-volt and their smaller brother (12v ) all share the same charger

I agree the m12 charger stinks they should provide the dual multivolt charger for m12 kits to give options to people buying m12 to get into the m18 line @Vcgconstruction

Its silly for sure. You'd basically be half way into the m18 platform from the start so its good from the consumer/upselling side of things, as well as from a production standpoint because more standardization is a cost saver in itself.

The multi-volt charger for both M12 and M18 batteries is the gateway drug to get people hooked on Milwaukee Tools if they start with a M12 tool. Milwaukee is foolish not to include the multi-volt charger with M12 tool kits.

M12 charger...thought it could be the case. Arguably they did innovate, and you can charge via the power source that comes with jackets.
I'd say all the chargers are outdated. All should have USB A & C ports.

I have 3 of these and I never use them.
I use my 4 multi voltage and 1 M18 only chargers.

And why is the M12 single charger similar in size as the dual charger? Makes no sense. They’ll save money (I bet) on production if they get rid of the single charger all together.

I suspected where you were headed right from the beginning.
I think I have 4 or 5 of those M12 chargers, and think the only one that ever gets used is the one in with my installation driver because it's a complete kit. And just a thought, if they wanna keep making the M12 only charger, set it up for 2 batteries! I bet they could do it in the same footprint.
Something about the Rapid Charger, 48-59-1808, that I would like to give kudos on: it's the same footprint as the standard charger, 48-59-1812, so that if you upgrade a kit to this charger, it fits right in the case like the original.

Completely agree having the 12 volt charger built in made it a lot easier to step in to the m12 line from the m18 line I'm sure it would go up as well

Hey Vince, I love Milwaukee tools the m18 line has made my life so much easier. But I got to ask you how do you feel about the m12, i recently picked up the 1/4" angle grinder and its horrible, boosted having more torque than air but I have just had it stop with one finger on the shaft. Am I alone here or did I just get a bad bunch?
