Just saw your Jeep while scrolling thru Insta and thought “that looks cool, wonder how hard it would be to put a round light in an XJ.” So of course I jump on TH-cam and as I’m watching I think “This looks awfully like the one on insta” TURNS OUT IT IS!! How cool!
i will make a video of them one day i want to get some better led lights to put in there and i have to switch my turn single relay to an electric interrupter relay instead of the old heat one.
They must have changed how '99 XJ's or the 7' lights you showed were wired, because I had to splice a diode in the running light to get mine to not pop the fuse.
I actually removed my big light bar because I never used it since my headlights worked so good. When you pick your LED headlights I like picking the ones that are more focused like a projector style or single LED bulb like what I have now. I keep away from the ones that have rows of LED’s cause you get more of a flood light out of those lights and they are hard to align so you end up blinding on coming vehicles. That’s why I like the more focused light you get that cut off line and they are easier to align.

Chris Hildebrand Well my lower LED’s are not turn signals they are just running lights the halo ring changes to a amber color and flashes when I turn on my blinkers. Or did you want to know how I made the bracket to hold the light?
the 3 prong plug is your ground high beam and low beam and it just plugs straight into the jeep plug the other 2 loose wires are for the halo ring and the blinker ring both of those wires will have to be spliced into a running light and blinker wires.
did you just cut and splice the side marker wires to get the amber halo to work? how about to get the DRL white halos? im shit when it comes to wiring id like to complete it
Richard Cuyugan yes I spliced into the side marker light for the amber halo’s and then spliced into the running lights for the white halo rings. When I use the blinker the light changes from white to amber repeatedly.
Actually my turn signals are the halo rings on the headlights themselves they turn from white to amber when applying the blinkers. The 6 inch LED's are just white running lights they don't blink or flash they just turn on when i turn on the headlights.
if you want the halos to run all the time i would just run add a relay to them and then put the switch wire from the relay to the ignition that way they come on when you turn the key on and turn off when you switch the key to the off position.

Logan Albee thanks I got asked so much that I had to make a video on it. #itsasmallworldafterall
I dig this. My wife has begged for brighter headlights so this seems to fit the bill very well. Thank you for the tutorial!

I just installed some but when I turn them on it starts to smell burnt under the board
Wow! Great video!
But are the lights bright enough for night time offroad?

Can you make a video on how you put LEDS in for the lower turn signals?

@@EvilXJ YES PLEASE.... Show us how you made the bracket? -Thank You
Yeah a video on the brackets would be great and the tyoe of lights you used?
The wiring u just install it in like the xjs plug in or u need to wire

What did you use for turn signals? I see them just not sure what they are. Are they 6 inch led?
Actually my turn signals are the halo rings on the headlights themselves they turn from white to amber when applying the blinkers. The 6 inch LED's are just white running lights they don't blink or flash they just turn on when i turn on the headlights.
Sick!
Like for the halos to run in the day time
if you want the halos to run all the time i would just run add a relay to them and then put the switch wire from the relay to the ignition that way they come on when you turn the key on and turn off when you switch the key to the off position.
Sweet!!!
You didn’t include a parts list boo
No need for the music, just my opinion. Besides that, thanks for the video.
