Just going off beam pattern alone, I'm surprised that the Auxbeam headlights weren't rated better. They have a beam pattern that easily equals the Morimoto Super 7 2.0 and the factory JL/JT factory LEDs, and they're putting out more light than many other options too. In your video the Auxbeam pattern is certainly far better than any of the higher rated options from KC and JW Speaker. I don't think that first set of Auxbeam headlights is really any more juvenile looking than the Michael Bay Transformer-eyes Super 7 2.0s. I ran a set of Trucklites in my JK for about a year but ended up going back to the factory halogens because the Trucklite beam pattern was so uneven and I just couldn't get past the noticeable "V" hot spots. We recently picked up a 2021 JLU with the factory LED headlights and they're just so good! It has me wanting to upgrade the headlights in our JK (again). I really like the wide, even pattern of the Morimoto Sealed 7, I just wish they had more foreground light so I wouldn't need to run my fog lights all the time to fill in the foreground. I would love to see you guys add some of the options from Oracle Lighting into the comparison. They have a Bi-LED model similar to the Super 7 as well as a JW Speaker looking competitor. Given Oracle's popularity I was kind of surprised to see they weren't included.
great video , any reviews on the LOYOLIGHT king kong ( jl style )- starting to see a fair a few of these getting fitted , im wondering how they compare to stock jeep jk lights , not doubt , the higher end headlights will out perform ,
Sorry but I am not spending $900-$1500+ for headlights. lol. If these companies were interested in selling good headlights and beating the china competition then they would make their products more affordable. Not to mention if these lights get damaged or stop working, then you get to fork out even more money for overpriced lights. Thanks but no thanks.
Any reputable brand has a good warranty that will cover anything under normal use, so that covers the stop working portion. These good headlights are worth their cost for a multitude of reasons!
@@shiftfilmsare you assuming $45 headlights to be bad for actually enlightening??? Because then you would be wrong! You don’t need to spend 2k in headlights when a pair of 100 headlights is going the get the job perfectly done .
Would be nice to see a non-projector series. The aluminum around the projectors is usually quite thin and usually only has a set amount of hours that it will work for and generally speaking it is not serviceable. So the 900.00 lights get thrown in the trash eventually. Most if them will last 5 years depending. So it would be nice to drop some money on serviceable lights.
If you're looking for serviceable, non-projector headlights you should check out the Holley x Morimoto Retrobrights! www.headlightrevolution.com/Sealed-Beam-Holley-RetroBright-LED-Headlights-7-Round
I’m surprised you didn’t test the Procomp LEDs for Jeeps. I got them as a deal from an off-road convention event, but I still think they were better than my JL’s LEDs. However, thanks for this… I’m trying to figure out what to get for my new to me Liberty.
Wouldn't a LED loke these Angels Eyes drain so much from a Motorcycle alternator, causing it to fail early? Also, doesn't it produces too much heat? Sorry if my questions sound stupid, I'm new to it.
Great questions-no need to worry, we’re happy to help! LEDs, like Angel Eyes, actually require significantly less power than traditional halogen bulbs, making them much more efficient and easier on your motorcycle's alternator. As for heat, a well-built LED unit will include a proper heat sink to manage and dissipate heat effectively, so overheating isn’t a concern. However, with low-quality lights, the heat sinks might not be as efficient, which could lead to premature failures. If you stick to high-quality LEDs, you’ll get better performance, efficiency, and reliability for your motorcycle.
We have played with these lights in the studio before but we have not had them in a video yet sadly. While there is certainly worse headlights out there than the Philips you mention, they still are not worth putting into your vehicle from our findings. As for a 7" HID shootout, I'll see what we can do! Options are going to be hard-going however as the market is moving towards a primarily LED selection!
@@HeadlightRevolution thank you. Yes it would be interesting to see because I want to keep the look somewhat close to stock. The holleys look good but I was hoping for more lux. I feel the sylvania silverstars would get by just fine. I'd just like to see what the brightest and best 7" headlight is out there. I'm tempted to get some H4 GTR 2.0 bulbs and throw them in a H4 housing but I feel it would cause a lot of glare.
Ahhh, I just bought an LED 7” headlight from Walmart with a “Mad Hornets” brand name that is identical to the JW speaker adaptive headlight, but only $180. I am regretting this.. probably going to return it once it arrives. Question: for a retro styled motorcycle, would you recommend an LED bulb upgrade from the factory halogen? Or will that cause lux issues? Is the safest bet to go with Holley? Thank you for your time.
Hey Joe! Thanks for your comment. I have no personal experience with the "Mad Hornets" brand housing that you mentioned but judging off the name and the fact that I haven't heard of it personally, I can only imagine the performance may not be as desired. For a retro motorcycle, the Holley housing is PERFECT for that period-correct look while boosting your light output for safer riding. They will be loads brighter than the factory sealed beam housing and you'll hardly be able to tell it's an aftermarket housing! I run one single 7" on my Cafe Racer and it is absolutely perfect. Check out the Holley housings here: www.headlightrevolution.com/complete_housings/universal_sealed_beam/custitem_cat_facet_brand/Morimoto?order=commercecategory:asc

so the sealed beam is brighter than the halogen on main beam ! is this because the top half of the headlight unit is out of focus for the position of the main beam filament.

We have included Oracle in other tests, and we have more going live soon! 🙌🏼
@@HeadlightRevolution I'll go dig through some of your other videos then. Thanks!
The 7 inch headlight pod also fits the Himalayan
I’m just curious to see which is the best
great video , any reviews on the LOYOLIGHT king kong ( jl style )- starting to see a fair a few of these getting fitted , im wondering how they compare to stock jeep jk lights , not doubt , the higher end headlights will out perform ,
Have you ever evaluated Eagle Lights 7" LED headlights?
We can add them to the list!
Basically anything China makes is trash 😆
So spend 45k for a classic car, but then put 45$ headlights so you get into an accident where you total the car, truck or bike? Makes total sense.
@@shiftfilmsare you assuming $45 headlights to be bad for actually enlightening??? Because then you would be wrong!
You don’t need to spend 2k in headlights when a pair of 100 headlights is going the get the job perfectly done .
@@shiftfilmsbesides: accidents happen plenty at light day, not only in the nights so crashing is a skill issue rather than blaming your headlights
hi,! Which value of my veichle should I check to learn the compatibility of these headlights?
Would be nice to see a non-projector series. The aluminum around the projectors is usually quite thin and usually only has a set amount of hours that it will work for and generally speaking it is not serviceable. So the 900.00 lights get thrown in the trash eventually. Most if them will last 5 years depending. So it would be nice to drop some money on serviceable lights.
If you're looking for serviceable, non-projector headlights you should check out the Holley x Morimoto Retrobrights!

I’m surprised you didn’t test the Procomp LEDs for Jeeps. I got them as a deal from an off-road convention event, but I still think they were better than my JL’s LEDs. However, thanks for this… I’m trying to figure out what to get for my new to me Liberty.
No problem!
Any reviews on United Pacific 7" round headligh
I would like to have your opinion what you think about Oracle lighting V Series 9005 and 9006.
We have never tested these!
Excellent public service
Thank you 🙏🏼
I approve this message.

Does the super7 2.0 fit in a 04 wrangler with out modification?
These were designed for the JK so they may require some modification.
@@HeadlightRevolution That’s OK ended up buying the 8700s from you guys, so far love them
Tavor makes a good rifle. Thanks for the video!
Tavor FTW!
On a motorcycle what would you recommend? I need good lighting far down and bright.
Jw 8700 evo2 or vision x vx ?
How do the philips H6024led integral lights compare? Can you also do a 7" HID shootout?
@@HeadlightRevolution thank you! I have a 2017 BMW R NineT Racer, so similar style I’m sure to your café racer, so I agree the Holley light looks like the best option. Thank you for the video and comment response!
Just went to the Holley’s website. Ordered a pair of 7 inch Holley retrobrights. Can’t wait to see what they look like on my 72C 10.
Nice, these headlights work very very well with the C10 trucks! Let us know what you think of them after you get it installed!
How did they work out for ya? I wanting to change out some on my 69 Oldsmobile
Did you think this will fit a vw bug
Very informative video. I’m looking for an upgrade for my ‘71 VW Super Beetle which currently has the original Hella 7” headlight, and I’m leaning towards Holly Retrobright. I’d like to keep the stock look.
Good choice!
so the sealed beam is brighter than the halogen on main beam ! is this because the top half of the headlight unit is out of focus for the position of the main beam filament.
@headlight revolution-
This video is a little old now-
Any newer ones to add to the top 5?
Mostly the same, Holley's are recently newish but still won't compare to something like the Super7 bi-LED headlight.
I’m looking for a headlight upgrade to my first gen Mazda mx5 headlights. Does anybody know if the recommended headlights will fit? He talked about some of the models being too big for certain car models.
any of them good for a freightliner coronado? 🤔
I don’t see any reviews on Oracle brand headlights. Any reason why not?
Does the Holley Retrobright Headlight also exist with a "E-Certificate" aswell as an "ABE-Certificate", for use in european / german registered cars?
I can't find the " DAYMAKER" anywhere can you help I want for my motorcycle
excellent review, thanks!!!
Thanks for watching!

What do you recommend for a 68 Camaro?
Holley!
Holley!
the only thing stopping me from getting the holley is the plastic lens, I just wish they would make it out of glass
Plastic is better than glass for a multitude of reasons. And with an OEM grade UV coating on the lenses, you won't need to worry about them yellowing.
Now I have to find the same in 5.3/4 for my bike
