For anyone crazy enough to do this seed as well, setting up a health refill stations in the form of timers + heart statues is fantastic, especially with the wall of flesh
I had never heard of you before, but I wanted to look up some gameplay of this seed, considering that I loved everything about it except the Don't Starve Together and For the Worthy seed additions (so I'd never actually play it myself). I'm glad I clicked your video. The editing and storytelling of the decent into madness had made my day.
when i read "mediumcore" my eyes practically popped out of my head, i have nearly 2k hours on this game and the prospect of playing it in mediumcore makes me want to "peel the skin off my flesh and roll around on an old shag carpet, then put my skin back on and feel slightly lumpy and not right for the rest of my life" genuinely im impressed by this, nevermind the incredibly amusing commentary that follows the eye melting suffering that red made this poor man go through. i love the work my man, cant wait to see the next part of this masterpiece.

This probably doesn't matter, but the zenith seed takes away the NPC happiness mechanic so you can throw two NPCs into a biome together and they will still sell pylons.
I just made it to "It's great to be back at base (unwillingly) with some components of that biome." That got a good laugh out of me. I found this video because I've been enjoying getfixedboi as well. It's been a while since I've played Terraria, and I wanted a challenge. My experience has been JUST like this. "We begin setting up housing when a teleporting worm pays us a visit, just to remind us that we aren't, in fact, permitted to have fun or make a LICK of progression in this godless void of a seed." Yes. It's exactly like that. I just beat Eater of Worlds. I lost count of how many tries. No boss in Terraria has ever kicked my a55 like that, and it was EOW. I beat a few segments and scraped a Nightmare Pickaxe together so I could skip straight to Molten Armor. Didn't help. The worm ate me. Eventually, I realized my problem was mobility, and I spent ~10 hours agonizingly piecing a Bundle of Horseshoe Balloons together, and that (with every possible buff) is what beat the worm. Aaaaaargghhhh.
A follow-up; my first usable weapon was also a mace. Oh, one detail that makes my experience different; I didn't even SEE a life crystal for the first 8 hours, at least. Dying in 1 hit to everything for that entire time. If I didn't already know about the heart-boulders, I'd have started thinking there WERE no life crystals. Edit: And another f-ing difference; you found a Blizzard in a Bottle. MULTIPLE of them. There wasn't even ONE in my entire medium-sized world. I searched the ENTIRE snow biome, then spent hell-hours hunting mimics and then FISHING for one, because I needed it for that Bundle of Balloons. My 50 Typhoon in a Bottles were useless. It had to be a Blizzard. And you just found them like it was nothing. Edit 2: I also tried grinding for the Ancient Shadow Armor. I didn't find the chest piece until LITERALLY 1 minute before I finally beat the EOW. I'd been using Molten Armor for about 15 hours. Edit 3: I didn't make an AFK grinder, but I also found the last piece at around 1300 kills. Edit 4: I missed out on rage and wrath potions. Those probably would have helped with EOW. Also, your arena was suffering from being "above ground." As soon as you go above height 0, the spawn rate multiplies by 10 or so. Only the top half of my EOW arena was suffering from that. Edit 5: I should have mentioned, I made a corrupt mushroom farm. I never imagined having to do that. And I made the Shiny Red Balloons for the bundle by shimmering Balloon Pufferfish. And lastly, I admit it makes me feel better about the EOW situation to see someone else do no better than I did.
Pro Tip™: Frostburn Arrows. They're cheap and good. Use them. PS: Also, Hallowed Armor allows you to dodge 1 shot. With how much damage everything does, I wonder if it's better to keep it... PPS: You can fish in a corrupted crimson to fish corrupt fish and crimson fish while you fish corrupt fish and crimson fish PPPS: Also, fishing in lava can give you a fish used to craft a very useful potion... AND USE MINECARTS DAMMIT worm from hell
It's my favorite thing to do in early hardmode as ranger. If you know what Payday 2 is, you know what a dodge build is. In terraria, it's just good mobility and chances to ignore damage. Here is my pre-mech setup (Master Mode): Stalkers Quiver, Ranger Emblem, Star Veil, sweetheart |necklace OR amphibian boots|, wings, Terraspark boots, and Brain of confusion. Frost armor for the frostburn on EVERYTHING Shadowflame bow (I hate stormbow), Onyx Blaster, |Uzi or Gatligator|, and a dart weapon if you wish. ichor or high velocity bullets.
Let me just say, I say this as a notification on my way to work yesterday evening. I didn't have time to watch any during break. So I waited until I got off work. Let me just say this was easily the best 90 minutes of my year. So much packed Waffle content. It's beautiful.

Mad props my dude, Legendary Zenith is no joke, even on softcore. All the bullshit ways this seed and difficulty combo can fuck you up, consistently, all the time, throughout the whole playthrough is legit insane. I've felt every bit of rage in this video, even tho I've only played this on softcore, coop with a friend and only up to Plantera. The difficulty and time/effort that goes into every small bit of progress got to me at that point with Plantera's bs, lol.
I'm not even remotely joking when i say that I couldn't even handle a normal play through on mediumcore. Legendary Mode? Zenith seed? this playthough really did take a chunk off the end of this mans life

This probably doesn't matter, but the zenith seed takes away the NPC happiness mechanic so you can throw two NPCs into a biome together and they will still sell pylons.
I just made it to "It's great to be back at base (unwillingly) with some components of that biome." That got a good laugh out of me. I found this video because I've been enjoying getfixedboi as well. It's been a while since I've played Terraria, and I wanted a challenge. My experience has been JUST like this.

I just beat Eater of Worlds. I lost count of how many tries. No boss in Terraria has ever kicked my a55 like that, and it was EOW. I beat a few segments and scraped a Nightmare Pickaxe together so I could skip straight to Molten Armor. Didn't help. The worm ate me. Eventually, I realized my problem was mobility, and I spent ~10 hours agonizingly piecing a Bundle of Horseshoe Balloons together, and that (with every possible buff) is what beat the worm.
Aaaaaargghhhh.
A follow-up; my first usable weapon was also a mace.
Oh, one detail that makes my experience different; I didn't even SEE a life crystal for the first 8 hours, at least.
Dying in 1 hit to everything for that entire time. If I didn't already know about the heart-boulders, I'd have started thinking there WERE no life crystals.
Edit: And another f-ing difference; you found a Blizzard in a Bottle. MULTIPLE of them. There wasn't even ONE in my entire medium-sized world. I searched the ENTIRE snow biome, then spent hell-hours hunting mimics and then FISHING for one, because I needed it for that Bundle of Balloons. My 50 Typhoon in a Bottles were useless. It had to be a Blizzard. And you just found them like it was nothing.
Edit 2: I also tried grinding for the Ancient Shadow Armor. I didn't find the chest piece until LITERALLY 1 minute before I finally beat the EOW. I'd been using Molten Armor for about 15 hours.
Edit 3: I didn't make an AFK grinder, but I also found the last piece at around 1300 kills.
Edit 4: I missed out on rage and wrath potions. Those probably would have helped with EOW. Also, your arena was suffering from being "above ground." As soon as you go above height 0, the spawn rate multiplies by 10 or so. Only the top half of my EOW arena was suffering from that.
Edit 5: I should have mentioned, I made a corrupt mushroom farm. I never imagined having to do that. And I made the Shiny Red Balloons for the bundle by shimmering Balloon Pufferfish.
And lastly, I admit it makes me feel better about the EOW situation to see someone else do no better than I did.
Pro Tip™: Frostburn Arrows. They're cheap and good. Use them.
PS: Also, Hallowed Armor allows you to dodge 1 shot. With how much damage everything does, I wonder if it's better to keep it...
PPS: You can fish in a corrupted crimson to fish corrupt fish and crimson fish while you fish corrupt fish and crimson fish
PPPS: Also, fishing in lava can give you a fish used to craft a very useful potion... AND USE MINECARTS DAMMIT

It's my favorite thing to do in early hardmode as ranger. If you know what Payday 2 is, you know what a dodge build is. In terraria, it's just good mobility and chances to ignore damage.
Here is my pre-mech setup (Master Mode):
Stalkers Quiver, Ranger Emblem, Star Veil, sweetheart |necklace OR amphibian boots|, wings, Terraspark boots, and Brain of confusion.
Frost armor for the frostburn on EVERYTHING
Shadowflame bow (I hate stormbow), Onyx Blaster, |Uzi or Gatligator|, and a dart weapon if you wish.
ichor or high velocity bullets.

Let me just say, I say this as a notification on my way to work yesterday evening. I didn't have time to watch any during break. So I waited until I got off work. Let me just say this was easily the best 90 minutes of my year. So much packed Waffle content. It's beautiful.
How to make legendary waffles
For the batter
Take your favorite recipe and add 2tsp of vanilla extract
Add 2 tbsp peanut butter*
Add 2 cups depressed waffle tears from needing to play mediumcore
This may thin out your mixture so to thicken it up you may add one of the following:
,5tbsp pure undiluted hubris
,1/2 inch wand of sparking finely grated
,1 (one) small child
3 mana crystals**
Additional addons can be anything***
Cook in waffles iron according to original recipe
And serve with a youtube video and çøčõņųţ mīĺķ
*if you have a peanut allergy you can substitute depressed waffle tears with your depressed tears
**undercooked or incorrectly processed mana Crystals may give you the following side effects
:dry flaky skin
:sudden mood swings
:debilitating headaches
:a rare form of kidney disease
:and getting you so higher than the moon lord
***there are some things you cannot put in your waffle batter
Like whole ocean
And there are some things you should not put in waffles....
Like plutonium

Mad props my dude, Legendary Zenith is no joke, even on softcore. All the bullshit ways this seed and difficulty combo can fuck you up, consistently, all the time, throughout the whole playthrough is legit insane.
I've felt every bit of rage in this video, even tho I've only played this on softcore, coop with a friend and only up to Plantera. The difficulty and time/effort that goes into every small bit of progress got to me at that point with Plantera's bs, lol.
