Nah I disagree, I think it’s totally fair game to progress multiple words simultaneously for 100% runs, there are multiple iterations of mutually exclusive terraria worlds, so a 100% run demands multiple worlds. One should definitely be the clear “primary” world tho
As someone who has collected every item more than once, start fishing. not only is it important for gathering every quest fish and reward, but the weather radio.... Build a surface and corruption farm 50 blocks from the ground and never let a windy day go by. The world kite can be afkd, but the balloon kites can be a miserable grind.

i’m pretty sure shimmering fallen stars gives you star in a bottles which you can shimmer again to y craft the star in a bottles to get both your stars back AND a bottle for each star.

I love how unique this video is, I've been playing Terraria since 2013 and this video proves I still have A LOT to learn, and that the game is full of funny bugs, exploits, tricks, etc. Seeing you utilise those things and make a full on play through highlighting them makes for an awesome video. It's still challenging, mostly thanks to dropping everything on death, but more than that, it's both educational and highly entertaining! I personally think you should be able to use different worlds if you need to. After all, this isn't supposed to be an entirely serious play through. You should be able to use any tools at your disposal, aside from straight up modding. Frankly, anything you make will be good content, so just keep doing what you want to do, and having fun in the process.
What about unique chest drops like the sunflower minecart which can only spawn in living wood chests. He already has the ladybug minecart which is the same.
Greatly looking forward to the rest of the series. This episode could have been several in its own right, which alludes to what you were saying in the beginning about having this whole run be one video or something. Thank you for putting in all this work playing, editing, theorycrafting, etc!

This is the freshest terraria content ive seen in a while, cant wait to see more man, just keep having fun with it and i think this series will blow up.
For mediumcore, I find backup potions more useful than equipment. A weapon or two and an armor set are important for dealing with events before getting your main set back, but outside of an event, some spare invisibility, calming, swiftness, featherfall, and shine potions make retrieval sooo much easier. Also, if you die in the dungeon, digging a hellivator-type mineshaft with rope from the surface to where you died can be a tremendous help. The rope will allow you to outrun the caster skeletons and the flying skulls and let you reset spawns as you inch closer to your items.
Yo Wild, now that I think about it, playing on mediumcore was a really smart decision. Having to retrieve ur items with sub-par gear will force you to be more creative and use more techniques (since you can’t just one-shot them). Mad props

Love the idea for this series. In terms of the rules you might as well allow second worlds (since you've already used one) but only for resources it's impossible to otherwise. Other than that I feel like exploits/glitches/whatever you want should be allowed, its kinda in the spirit of the challenge. But just whichever ones you want to use.

Nice video! I have a few things I noticed that I think you could have done differently or wanted to give some more info on. 5:43 Pressure plate track, hammer minecart track ends to bumpers. Extremely cheap and extremely fast. 6:54 I didn't actually know you could get silver/tungsten bullets from chests at all, apparently they spawn as shadow chest common items so you can get them from chests in the 50 tiles above the underworld preboss. For another way of getting bullets before a gun, you can buy Pigronatas from the Party Girl and break them for Party Bullets, most relevant in Getfixedboi where you have immediate access to her. 7:28 Strange pools of water like on the right will often lead to sky islands, because water on them will often spill out during generation. This doesn't work in the jungle, but that pool had pretty good odds. 10:48 Cobwebs will spawn up to a distance of 3 blocks away from solid tiles, with a high rate at 1 and 2 blocks and a reduced rate at 3. Cobwebs would have spawned much faster if you put solid walls with 4 tiles of space between. Also farming on the surface grows cobwebs faster, but that would make it harder to afk. 11:31 Statues actually aren't player-dependent; they still spawn their enemy, it's just that this enemy can instantly despawn if you're too far away. But even then there's still time to kill it, at the very least lava still works. 14:26 Block swap works on chests. Works on dead man's chests too, but the moment the swap happens the traps activate anyway. Dunno why you wouldn't allow afk, as for the second world that really is just for getting EoW in prehardmode rather than hardmode. But yeah, evil blocks do not shimmer into each other at all. Also, regeneration potions are extremely strong, +2 HP/s, would have made the eater fight way easier. 22:32 Properly speaking they spawn 100% of the time around spawn, and for each nearby NPC they have a 2/3rds chance of spawning elsewhere - so just the old man gives 2/3rds their normal spawn rate, 3 NPCs at the ocean gives 26/27ths of their normal spawn rate. 24:16 Tavernkeep sells Ale which can be shimmered to sand. Also you have a 1000 projectile limit to contend with which makes this infeasible. Antlions shoot once per 3.33 seconds. Wack that a Terraria AI overview actually got something right for once, though. 31:58 Oh this reminds me of the biggest factor in enemy spawning: walls behind blocks, not over them. Stylist was unable to spawn in your previous farm, but since you put blocks in front of spider walls she became able to spawn. This applies to desert walls, dirt walls, living wood walls, every wall type except dungeon walls (which require wall one tile above the brick). 32:38 So dart traps have a lifespan of 1 minute and a velocity of 12 pixels per tick. So they cover 2701 blocks of distance. Oops

I'm glad the one wide tunnel digging got some love here. I use it all the time and see no one else do it. It's a shame really! Also, use hoiks more often. They're so much more powerful than what is usually shown! I mean, people usually show one time builds to set and forget but I use em to travel! Very few people seem to know this so I'll spill the beans. When you enter a hoik tunnel by the first wall, if you are surrounded, no, smothered by blocks, you can hammer the block to your top left or top right until you hoik away. Keep the hammering that position and keep hammering to move! And you can use it the moment you get a hammer and it’s the safest and fastest mode of transport. And, most importantly, once they’re built you can cross them the other way by doing these steeps on the opposite side on the opposite corner. Thus, your tunnel is built. I have so many ways in which I use these hoiks! Trust me, they are your friend if you let them be!

If you wanna make nature themed houses in some places like the jungle, I recommend using waterfall walls and living fire blocks (with white paint) to make a sick waterfall. I actually used this when making a large water fountain (heavily inspired by the one u made in ur wiring potential vid). Also sorry for my yap session, I graduated from yappington.

Nice video! I have a few things I noticed that I think you could have done differently or wanted to give some more info on.
5:43 Pressure plate track, hammer minecart track ends to bumpers. Extremely cheap and extremely fast.
6:54 I didn't actually know you could get silver/tungsten bullets from chests at all, apparently they spawn as shadow chest common items so you can get them from chests in the 50 tiles above the underworld preboss. For another way of getting bullets before a gun, you can buy Pigronatas from the Party Girl and break them for Party Bullets, most relevant in Getfixedboi where you have immediate access to her.
7:28 Strange pools of water like on the right will often lead to sky islands, because water on them will often spill out during generation. This doesn't work in the jungle, but that pool had pretty good odds.
10:48 Cobwebs will spawn up to a distance of 3 blocks away from solid tiles, with a high rate at 1 and 2 blocks and a reduced rate at 3. Cobwebs would have spawned much faster if you put solid walls with 4 tiles of space between. Also farming on the surface grows cobwebs faster, but that would make it harder to afk.
11:31 Statues actually aren't player-dependent; they still spawn their enemy, it's just that this enemy can instantly despawn if you're too far away. But even then there's still time to kill it, at the very least lava still works.
14:26 Block swap works on chests. Works on dead man's chests too, but the moment the swap happens the traps activate anyway.
Dunno why you wouldn't allow afk, as for the second world that really is just for getting EoW in prehardmode rather than hardmode. But yeah, evil blocks do not shimmer into each other at all. Also, regeneration potions are extremely strong, +2 HP/s, would have made the eater fight way easier.

24:16 Tavernkeep sells Ale which can be shimmered to sand. Also you have a 1000 projectile limit to contend with which makes this infeasible. Antlions shoot once per 3.33 seconds. Wack that a Terraria AI overview actually got something right for once, though.
31:58 Oh this reminds me of the biggest factor in enemy spawning: walls behind blocks, not over them. Stylist was unable to spawn in your previous farm, but since you put blocks in front of spider walls she became able to spawn. This applies to desert walls, dirt walls, living wood walls, every wall type except dungeon walls (which require wall one tile above the brick).
32:38 So dart traps have a lifespan of 1 minute and a velocity of 12 pixels per tick. So they cover 2701 blocks of distance.

I'm glad the one wide tunnel digging got some love here. I use it all the time and see no one else do it. It's a shame really! Also, use hoiks more often. They're so much more powerful than what is usually shown! I mean, people usually show one time builds to set and forget but I use em to travel! Very few people seem to know this so I'll spill the beans. When you enter a hoik tunnel by the first wall, if you are surrounded, no, smothered by blocks, you can hammer the block to your top left or top right until you hoik away. Keep the hammering that position and keep hammering to move! And you can use it the moment you get a hammer and it’s the safest and fastest mode of transport. And, most importantly, once they’re built you can cross them the other way by doing these steeps on the opposite side on the opposite corner. Thus, your tunnel is built.
I have so many ways in which I use these hoiks! Trust me, they are your friend if you let them be!

If you wanna make nature themed houses in some places like the jungle, I recommend using waterfall walls and living fire blocks (with white paint) to make a sick waterfall. I actually used this when making a large water fountain (heavily inspired by the one u made in ur wiring potential vid). Also sorry for my yap session, I graduated from yappington.
