Can You Beat MASTER MODE Terraria With ONLY ZENITH COMPONENTS?

- Today, we take the leap in changing our goal from only crushing the Moon Lord, to getting every sword of the Zenith and crafting that bad boy up! However, we are only permitted to use Zenith Components along the way. Will the new 1.4.4 sword and quality of life changes be enough to get us through the unholy amount of events we are going to have to grind out, shortening our lifespan by 45 years total and making us bald entirely? Will we be able to defeat the Moon Lord with an alien sword? Better yet, what will we do when we've crafted our delicious Zenith and complete this challenge?

The Zeniths crafting tree is one of the coolest pieces of progression in any game, and it’s mega satisfying

I can't remember the exact number anymore, tho, it's been a while. Counting all my luminite and dividing it by the amount he drops as shown on the wiki was how I figured out the rough number of kills (I wasn't counting, wasn't exactly expecting that), and I didn't include the crafted items bc I'd forgotten about them. I was pissed at the time, but looking back it was pretty funny.
The drop rate for the Meowmere was 1 in 9 for those who don't know!

If you center the Zenith on yourself, you create an obliterating shield that can run into even solar pillar enemies and still let you be completely fine. I LOVE IT.
Watching him fight the eater of worlds using the star fury then being confused as to why it was taking so long was baffling.
Especially when he could’ve used the blade of grass to do so much more damage

1:35 I'm getting flashbacks to my very first world, where I chopped down every single tree and didn't replant them, so I ran out of wood and hadn't yet realized the Dryad sold acorns, so I had to import them from another world.
Fun times.
With how tanky melee was back in other versions, I was actually able to only take two hearts of damage from the moonlords gargantuan sized laser, but with melee defense being nerfed half my respiratory organs are destroyed on contact with the laser.
have you tried playing in journey mode with godmode enabled?

Now melee is not as tanky with the bear defense accessories, but the defense is still respectable. I was also playing in normal mode when it happened.

Little tip about Sky Islands:
You can find one most of the time by checking for any small, tiny pools of water on the surface that don't have any large bodies of water nearby.
Those are usually created by the spilling water from the Sky Island. So if you find any, chances are that there's a Sky Island above it.
I just looked up what perineum sunning is and honestly? I felt more complete and whole without that knowledge. Thank you waffletime. You will break all of us with each video you release.

A reminder that dungeon chests spawn in a particular order and cobalt shields are in the very early numbers. So you want to stick by the first couple gold chests you find to farm golden keys, as otherwise you'll have to deal with the random tunnel directions making it impossible to tell what number you're on

My strategy for beating master mode EoW on my first master mode playthrough was this: take an iron skin potion and regeneration potion and stand still swinging a star fury. WaffleTime should have done that. It is way more effective than it should be.
mine cart in the corruption tunnels + jester arrows = death
Slime mount -> bounce on the boss while madly swinging sword -> probably not the best method but it was a lot of fun

Getting the Enchanted Sword from the first golden crate with a crate potion at 100 fishing power in 300 tiles of corruption water is 0.005%. I don't even know how low it could have possibly been with the fiberglass rod and that cave set up lmao

At least you start off with a zenith component, that's challenge would probably be pretty hard if the copper short sword wasn't in the zenith recipe

A bit of advice for the osogof tunnel, make the end of the tunnel much wider than normal so you have much more room to maneuver around plantera if you reach the end.
This has an added bonus of making the tunnel a bit more phallic shaped, which makes for a funnier video

On the surface...I thought Terraria really was a 2D Minecraft. I'd play it with my son now and then, but would usually feel like I'd seen all the game has to offer. But recently, we've been playing again and we just beat the wall of flesh and wow, was I wrong.Thank you for making these videos, especially now that we're playing again because it gives me motivation to get all this kick ass gear!
This is nearly what I did for my first 1.4.4 full playthrough, going from Blade of Grass to Nights Edge to True Nights Edge to Terra Blade and finally the Zenith as my main weapons at each stage of progression. After the Labor of Love Update Melee just got so much more fun, especially the Zenith crafting tree.

You probably should've used the blade of grass during the eater of worlds fight. Sure, it would've meant more stray segments to deal with, but it's also way better at destroying the vile spit projectiles and can hit multiple segments at once far more effectively than the starfury.

The Volcano is such a fun sword. Honestly it might be my favorite. So satisfying, especially if you're giving the EOW some revenge.
When i made the nights edge, i had 2 volcanos just because of the damage and the fire effect

May I suggest doing this challenge with either bows or guns only? Ranger usually uses both, so I think it'd be interesting to be limited to just one, the same way you've done with challenges like this.

Helped my wife make the Zenith. Getting the influx waver as a summoner was easy enough but oh my god I had to get to wave 18 on the pumpkin moon before I got one singular horsemans blade. I lost count of my prior attempts

Small reccommendation:
Find the Shimmer and un-craft and re-craft anything craftable in it for modifiers. Basically reforging, except takes a bit longer but is FREE!

You could do the torch God event to get biome torches. I'm 90% sure they increase your luck, unless the crafted biome torches are the ones that give luck.

I'm usually using torches for their brightness and most biome-torches suck at that.
I've been trying this challenge on a zenith seed, it is getting rough at 8 hours in with skeletron undefeated
