What is the strut tower you have? I want the get the LAile beat rush S81212-FTA for my 1996 Celica gt convertible. I wonder if it fit. Or do I need the S81211-FTa
Hi Brian. I have the OEM TRD strut bar that I purchased from a fellow Celica owner several years ago. I had it powder coated in blue/purple glitter, because I was feeling fancy. I don't have any personal experience with the Laile Beatrush strut bar, however I did to a quick search on the FB groups about it. It seems that some people have installed in on their Celica's, one person mentioned it rubbing at one spot, but others said there were no clearance issues at all. Perhaps it depends on what engine set up you have. Laile Beatrush makes a bar for the front and rear. So when you order yours make sure it's for the front, as I don't think the rear strut bar will work for the convertible, the top mechanics get in the way. I hope that helps out, good luck with your strut bar!
Oh no! That’s not good. 😬 I would reach out to BC racing and see what they say. It might be seized up, if that’s the case, you can get replacement parts for it. Good luck! 🔧
Hello! I chose the strut bar to stiffen up the front end of my convertible, it has a lot of sway since there’s no roof. It’s definitely not a requirement for the BC coils. 😀
Hi! Welcome to the Celica family. I have a single din Pioneer head unit in my white convertible. And in my black convertible I have a single din Alpine head unit with Audison surround speakers and a 10” JL W7 subwoofer in the trunk. A double din head unit will fit in the car if you decide to go that route as well. 😀
YT won’t let me reply with an image, so Google “camber and toe”, there will be several diagrams to help illustrate tire position. We’re talking in a 3D space here, so perhaps that’s leading to the confusion. Toe is like looking down at your feet, are they pointed in or pointed out? Imagine the tire pointed like feet, if they’re straight forward that’s 0 toe. Camber is vertical (think up towards the sky and down into the ground), is your tire straight up and down or is it leaning in or out from a vertical perspective? That is camber. Hopefully that helps.
@@NetsGarage i just found out 3 of my struts can go up to 33 clicks (2 rear & front driver) & 1 can go 32 clicks (front passenger). Does all of yours go up to 32?
Hi! So, I have 3 different sets of wheels for my Celica’s. The factory ones are 15”s. I have a white set that are 16”. And I also have a black & blue set that are 17”. 😃
Thanks for explaining. Just got my BR series.
Yay! Very Exciting! 🔧
Good way to explain the bc coilovers
Thanks! 😊
Does the car have to be on jack stands to change the dampening or can it be done while the car is sitting on its tires?
Good Question! You can leaves the tires on the ground to make the dampening adjustment. 🔧🤓
@Net's Garage You are a great help thank you for replying so quickly. This is my 1st time joining static gang and happy to be part of it:D

I have these same coil overs, but why does my passenger side knob not move I’ve been trying to figure out why it doesn’t move😅

I have a WM Statemen. BC told me that I don't need a strut brace. Did you add yours out of necessity or for looks?

Great explanation, just added my BR-Series and this helped a lot.
Thank you! I’m glad to know this video was helpful for you. 😊

Shouldn’t the camber be side to side not up and down🤔

If there are 32 clicks, is the softest same as the 1st click & the hardest same as the 31st click?
Yes, I would assume so.
