I had the exact same experience related to math! That's why it took me until my mid to late 30's to pursue nursing school because I had to get over my math phobia. I too had a wonderful med math instructor in my current program. I'm sorry about your father and unborn child. It's the unfortunate curse that comes with attending nursing school. My instructor warned us about the wild and crazy things that happen while your in school to distract you from your success of completing the program.
