A 700 series RC Helo is fast as F.... So fast. Can change direction in a blink.. milliseconds... Dragonfly still faster. Lil faster., Unlike a butterfly or a moth..Bird..., ect... a Dragonfly... they can get out of the way. Like a Bat can. Fly circles around a 700.

Slow throttle response is due to “soft start” a feature of the esc. The rotor will spool up slowly until it reaches flying rpm. After that throttle response will be normal. I like using it🤙🏼

The latter part of the video where he asks if anyone has any ideas on how to stop the violent jump between flight modes is what I believe you're referring to!? That can only be negated by adjusting the throttle curves to have less of a gap or difference but as nearly all Idle up curves are either horizontal or a slight 'v' there will always be a bit of a 'jump' from normal to idle up 1/2! :-)
There are different values you can set for the ESC so it spools up faster or slower. Its a safety feature so you dont accidently bump the "Throttle Hold" switch while you are on the bench working on the heli.

RC master, doesn't matter whats connected to the transmitter.. he'll fly it, drive it, float it and sometimes crash it lol. Kevin, you got some serious skill mate!
That is not normal soft start behavior. It should immediately start the soft start process once throttle hold is flipped. It's a calibration issue within the Ikon2, I had the same issue with mine.
Kev, I'm having a debate with friend..I say you're not really flying the helicopter in these vids, he says you are. I say no because everytime it supposed to be you flying, the camera never shows you actually flying, just a heli in the sky. But when your mate flew, it showed him out there flying it. I know you wouldn't tell if it wasn't you, but I'd love to actually see YOU flying it oneday on camera. Love all the vids regardless if it's you or not lol

I'm quite sure that isn't him. I don't think a man can fly upside down doesn't know which direction the belt of tail blades should go. Even a beginner like me wouldn't make that mistake.

Kev, to slow down the stunt mode throttle rpm increase: Advanced menu>throttle and gov>governor spoolup>ramp up. Adjust this value to get what you want. This is of course if using the ikon2 gov. Hobbywing gov has a similar setting using the program box. Also you can see volts, mah used and rpm plus anything on the tx screen plus have the ability to adjust anything on the ikon2 from your tx too. Just see the instructions for telemetry and integration in the software under,manuals section.
Pretty impressive stuff remember my neighbour having one when I was young and he totally stacked it and it was all bent, just didn’t realise what you can do with them. Cheers Kev
The 10 sec spool is the esc doing a calibration test because you most likely have the ESC governor set to “gov store” mode instead of Linear mode. Must be in linear mode when using ikon governor.

Absolutely in Awe you can fly a proper RC Heli Kevin. Best I can do at length is a 4 channel fixed pitch. Tried multiple times..(And I'm a flier of 27+years) I'll hover... but I over correct... that was 10 years ago... I'm sure the hardware is "friendlier" now hate watching a nitro heli beat itself to death on the ground... plus you gotta take cover hahahaha "What Happened!!!) Seb make works of ART. Not kidding that beast is Gorgeous!! Also take notice your attention to detail is amazing on these Helis... Awesome work mate... The flying is 10 levels above fixed wing, normal aircraft. Huge Thank You for this vid....
Once you have the tail push rod figured out, please use jb weld so it does not break loose.. You have slow start spool up on. Change the start up speed to 3 in the esc
Oh that sound is amazing! I’ve seen some videos of these stunt pilots of these, and man, they were doing the craziest shit I’ve ever seen! And at night t boot. It had lights, but it was truly amazing.
He might paint himself as an idiot but it's obvious to old school heli flyers like me that Kev absolutely has the skill and knowledge to pull this off.. No one would even attempt those kinds of moves if they didn't know what they were doing
I am digging this helikopter. But crash with something as expensive like that would made me depressed. It oozes quality. I like that you make helikopter videoes to from time to time. 👍
Kevin, rethink the LiPo Mount. Those sticky pads are good, but they're not ideal. I've ejected LiPos on my Kraken 580 because they gave way. You're much better off using industry strength velcro from Halfords etc.
Sab does make great machines no doubt. But honestly it just comes down to you and your ability. One heli isn't necessarily better than the other at this level.

Soldering iron you can plug into your lipo is epic. Perfect for fixing stuff that's been to the moon

to be fair, that cheap iron can be as powerful as an expensive one but you don't have temp control and it doesn't last very long.

Kev those satellite receivers are supposed to be spread out and in a certain orientation. That’s why the wires are long.

You defnetly need a vbar Control Touch and a neo! With that you can do all the Setup via your Transmitter on the field and easily Share helis
