Don’t get fat, keep your hair long, dress like you’re 35, and use skin care starting at 22. And moisturizing your neck is just as important as your face! I’m 54 and still get checked out by many men in public. I know.

Keeping your hair soft and flattering, dressing in a flattering manner etc. is generally more universal advice. Sun protection should begin whenever you can. I'm 47 but have been wearing daily sunscreen since I was 15, it has certainly helped. One major mistake women make as they age is stubbornly adhering to some style or beauty rule, whether they think it's for younger women or older women, doesn't really matter. Like "I will always wear black eyeliner" or "I will never cut my hair". What matters is what looks good on you at the time. Just as you would enhance your strengths when you were younger, so should you when you are older, but those strengths may change. Be objective and open to change, that is how you will be most likely to look your best.... I edited this to add that one thing I think women should be continually evaluating as they get older is their eyeliner and mascara, especially any used on the lower lids. It can really drag your eyes down and make you look tired, swollen, droopy etc. Using the liner sparingly and the mascara not at all has been far better for me in the last few years. It is definitely a common mistake I see on older women who often otherwise put themselves together very nicely.

Well you really don’t have much to worry about until you hit early twenties. By mid twenties is when the body starts aging on a cellular level. Best things you can do now is sleep on your back, protect your skin from the sun, Don’t use candles, and only non toxic cleaning products for your body and house, don’t eat processed foods or sugar, use a vitamin c filter on your shower, eat lots of fruits and vegetables especially the green ones. And moisturize every day with raw Shea butter or something similar. Stay away from coffee try green tea instead. Most of us on here are trying to correct years of bad habits through expensive creams and vitamins but you are fortunate to start out with good habits. If all that fails and genetics try to make you look old fast, get a prescription for retin-A I’ve seen it actually reverse aging but it’s best for older skin. I’ve heard starting that too young can cause skin to be thin. Good luck👍

I am 50 and I always sleep on my back. I hardly have any wrinkles. But the main reason why my skin is so well is because I am a vegetarian since I was 11. I am sure eating meat and drinking alcohol lets people age much faster. Another major thing are our facial expressions. If people live a satisfied life, they don't get the same wrinkles as people who are unhappy.

    • @m.fayed.9075
      @m.fayed.9075 6 ปีที่แล้ว +57

There's collagen in meat, which is the building block of healthy skin. Gluten & dairy (aside from the obvious alcohol & cigarettes) are what damages skin.

Agreed. I've worn sunscreen every day since I was 16 years old. I'm 34 now. The condition of my skin hasn't changed. It's still as firm, soft, and wrinkle free as it was when I was a teen. Back then, the idea of using sunscreen daily was unheard of and people thought something was mentally wrong with me for doing that when I told them. Now we know better about the dangers and cumulative damage of UV exposure.

@Moon Child OMG!!! NO ONE has that power or right to call you “old” sis! It’s so disrespectful!!! Don’t need to take it personal! And you’re absolutely not old at all. Some celebrities like JLo are mostly twice age and still look young and beautiful. It’s never late to learn anti aging or even reverse aging. Like as far as I learned, intermittent or prolong fasting, healthy plant based diet, yoga, meditation, sleep sufficiently, good mentality, exercise, aromatherapy, facial massage and facial yoga and so on. All those methods can help you to be young and healthy. But most of all, a beautiful heart and soul you have are the best parts in your life. Don’t feel stressed out. And love yourself 100%❤️🤍🙏🏻God will always bless you!

Sometimes we’re in not so good mood then properly would cause some insomnia for a while then look tired on the face. But no worries there’re always ways to work out. Keep learning and stay positive. We’ll always manifest things we really want in life! ❤️😊🤗

Mean ppl are always feel bad bad inside. Sometimes when I meet someone says or does something I hate to me and I’d be so pissed off at first. But sometimes when I feel super bad inside I can just be mean to anyone even sometimes I didn’t even realize it. Yeah just don’t take it personal otherwise we can’t just move on and get stuck to it. It’s not good for us lol. Time flys. Just make sure we can be true to ourselves all along and then life can be more meaningful. Not just about be successful or not. Life is short after all:) no worries we still got time to do many things we want!!!Take care! It’s really GREAT to talk with you! SO MUCH LOVE TO YOU❤️❤️❤️

You are so lucky you started 20 years ago! I’ve recently tried to start sleeping on my back for this reason too - always wake up with my face smashed into the pillow! It’s HARD to get used to. I’m going to be 48 too and everything you described as far as pictures and nostalgia is me too. The thing that’s hard for me to accept is my face not being as full (I think my cheeks slid down to my jowls). It’s not wrinkles (never had Botox), it’s loss of volume and sagging and I hate obsessing over it!

You are ABSOLUTELY right when you talk about the natural oils on your skin. Embrace it while you can! It is there for a reason. I had extremely oily skin when I was younger. I'm turning 49 next month and I have NO wrinkles on my skin. I didn't have the means in my 20's when it came to skincare like I do today. I'm really glad there are good products on the market but I still and always will incorporate coconut oil in my skincare regimen. Iv'e been using it since iv'e been 16 years old and I truly believe it's a miracle oil. I was always told to "moisturize, moisturize, moisturize" I'm sooooo glad I listened. I too sleep on my back but it's not because I'm trying to avoid wrinkles but because my menopause makes me uncomfortable to toss and turn. I will burn up so I find sleeping on my back avoids those flashes.

Gatubela Diabla Agree with botox, but hyaluronic acid fillers are exactly synthesised on a molecular level to the hyaluronic acid in your body - studies indicate it is processed identically. Many people absorb more chemicals into their system from their face creams than any filler would ever put into the body.

I naturally sleep on my back with my arms folded, I am also a very quiet sleeper, so over the years a lot of people have made jokes or been creeped out by how I look dead. So when I first heard about the health and also superficial benefits of sleeping on your back I felt vindicated and pretty darn pleased with my "weird" sleeping habits. I had no idea though it's such a small percentage of people who sleep like that. I also follow the other 2 steps so here's hoping I look as good as you do by the time I turn 48!

That's why. You need to roll over! Since I started sleeping on my side, I have not had a single episode. So relieved. The last time it happened, (don't laugh, this was really scary - but also in retrospect, ridiculous and funny) I could not move, of course, or open my eyes but I saw [hallucinated] a dog size transparent tarantula crawling across my ceiling, heading my way. Thankfully, my son touched me (touching someone having an episode brings them right out of it) and asked me if I was having that "thing". LOL He would always watch for it if he knew I was taking a nap and somehow would know when it was happening. Not sure how, but thank goodness. Anyway, side sleeping has saved me from that terror.

I was a back sleeper for most of my life and then when I was 32 I hurt my back and ended up having to have back surgery. 18 yrs later if I happen to get turned on my back I can't sit up to get out of bed. And I pay for it for the 2 or 3 days. I have yo sleep on my side and if you look at my face you can tell by the wrinkles on the right side of my face that is the side I sleep on. I'm living proof of what your saying and if give anything to be able to sleep in my back again. Do you have any recommendations for those of us the physically can't sleep on their backs? Brookelynn Marie hormone dip. I think. My skin was never dry like that till 30. Idk been going through so much crap figuring things out. Im having a hair issue and ive always been oily as hell. Stay active regardless maybe thats some of my issue. Good blood circulation is good for hair and skin

@@brokegirl1452 You should try vintage traditions face products. Its basically animal fat and ik that sounds gross but its practically what r skin is made of and its not even expensive and last a long time. Ive seen results. Plus you can get secented ones.

So true! Been sleeping on my back after my plastic surgeon told me to! He’s right! You’re so young looking and beautiful! I’m buying your pillow 😊

You look fantastic! I’m a firm believer in genetics. I’m turning 50 this year. Even though I was a sun worshipper and slept on my side and stomach (still do), I have very few lines on my face. Just this year I started using Retin-A religiously in January and will take a break over the summer. I’m now pretty good about sunscreen, but for most of my life I wasn’t and (this makes me cringe) used tanning beds to give my tan a head start for the summer. Never used Botox or had any procedures done. Knock on wood I continue to be this fortunate!

Oh my gosh you are so right. I am 49 and have slept on my back my entire life. You also have to have a FIRM pillow so you don't mush your face into it, lol. But I just turned 49 and have only recently noticed the first fine lines on my face! I've also used Sunscreen since I was a teenager. And you are also right about the oil on your face. When I was younger I had really shiny skin from the oil, but I never used foundation or anything to wipe it off.

I was watching your recent nighttime skincare vid and you reminded me of your pillow. This is the one thing I haven’t tried to help with my neck and back. I’ve had two cervical spine surgeries and have chronic pain. I now have a bludging disk in my lower back. No more surgeries for me! So I need to find things that help with the pain. I think this will be helpful. I’ll need a support under my knees but that’s easy. I’m so excited for my pillow to get here! And bonus it helps prevent wrinkles 🤗❤️

I've tried to train myself to sleep on my back or even my side (stomach sleeper) but I just end up staying awake all night

I hope you had a great birthday!! Thank you, thank you for adding the back-sleeper pillow link/code! I'm being fitted for a dental appliance tomorrow morning (to prevent clinching/grinding), and I know I will be forced to sleep on my back. My chiropractor/dermatologist have already fussed at me, and now my dentist is getting in on the act. I'm going to keep a diary and hope I adapt quickly.
