@@naticedogOther than price there are no reasons. Have driven both the a 24 VB and Glof R (both manuals). The Golf is in a completely different league. Hell, even the R’s infotainment is better than the WRX and that is the weakest part of the Golf.
3 months 2023 WRX 6 speed... Car is solid, l live Montana and plenty offroad and snow, lots of go cart capabilities while being in a normal car. WRX was built for this... STI exhaust from dealer, WOW different car, intake and steering wheel and shift knob has arrived from Subimods. Seats have to go, looking for a more comfortable seat with heater. Car has so much grip and friendly engine transmission so easy to drive. Perfect 4 door economy size, BRZ to small for me but nice to drive... Black plastic is that way due to it being a rally race car, pave, dirt, shell & gravel roads. They make aftermarket color matching ones but if you drive the car like it’s attended for I would leave the black, the color options will chip.
Does the 2024 have issues with excessive rtv clogging pickup tube or building up in oil pan? And are there any issues with axle or driveshaft like on 2022?
I don't believe James mentioned it in his review unfortunately. So far only Nile has a 100 km test loop set up for the vehicles he features, which sometimes includes ones that Victor drives also.
Y cuál recomiendas el Subaru, el Jetta 2.0 , O el Honda Civic?. Quiero ver el carro que la transmisión manual y su motor con el mantenimiento me duren los más años posibles
47k in canada then there is taxes in i couldn't afford it lol its a nice car but roughly 50k not a car worth it for me seems like 25 30k car to me 30k with taxes in actually but that would never happen in canada
I’m also in Canada and comparing this to Civic SI and Type R, GTI, Golf R etc. It right in the middle and you can argue it’s the cheapest and best value. SI is just under 40K, but WRX starts at 36K and Golf R, Type R etc can get into 50K + So yeah it’s definitely worth it to me… if you’re comparing it to a base Corolla with a 120HP engine then yes it’s expensive… but compared to a Golf R or Type R it’s very comparable and much more useful

My favorite thing about this car is Subaru dealers do not mark them up.
At least here in Canada dealerships aren't able to mark up new vehicle prices, but we've heard plenty of horror stories from the USA.
I can confirm I’m in USA and I bought a 22 wrx fully loaded for under msrp
I bought a 2023 WRX for 32,800$. That's almost 2K under MSRP
@@PRNTestDrive(tell that to Toyota Canada) The markup on Corolla GR is outrageous!
@@PRNTestDrive do we need to premium fuel for wrx?
I traded in my 2019 golf R for a 2022 WRX and I can honestly say the WRX is better in every single way.
Enjoy it!
Wow, interested in hearing the reasons why.

Bought a 2023. This car has the best all wheel drive system in the business. Only Audi comes close at nearly twice the price. Period.
Subaru definitely has a great AWD system.
PERIODT!

Just picked up a 2024 VB Premium in the darker blue color, couldn’t be happier!
Enjoy it!
Well done for finding and reviewing this manual transmission car! Such a rare thing to see.
There are still a handful of manuals out there! James has had the chance to feature a few of them this year.

It seems to be a design trait that a lot of WRX enthusiasts dislike, it's the main thing we hear about this generation.

We haven't heard anything about it.
May i know the fuel consumption for city driving and long ride? Thanks man I hope you reply!

Awesome Subaru 😊 thanks for this video
Thanks for checking this one out!
nice review
Thanks!
Any changes for the sport?
Doesn't seem like it, basically a carryover across the board with the RS trim being the only new thing.
I want one! ❤
Get it! You only live once.
Should be able to find them at dealers now.

It's one thing to say the CVT isn't as much fun as the manual. But to call the best CVT subaru has manufactured garbage? Poor form.
Oh wow, an opinion that differs from yours, that's unheard of.

It's good that Subaru finally has some options. Victor, one of our other hosts, recently reviewed the WRX GT with the CVT and seemed to like it.
