  • I just had to review this bike when I saw the price of $1195. It has a 750w Bafang hub motor that peaks at nearly 1500w. 28mph top speed (class 3 ebike), twist throttle, 5 levels of power assist. The frame is very nice and the bike handles well on the trails.
I'm very impressed with this bike at this price point. With a few inexpensive modifications to personalize the bike it would be a great commuter or back country explorer. There are bunches of reviews on youtube to answer your technical questions or to give you the specs on this bike. This is a ride review video.
I'm not sure how long this price will last.

Great, glad you found it interesting! I really like the bike, it rides nice and has tons of power. There are a few things that I'd change right away, I'd put on a wider set of bars, the stock are a little narrow for me. I'd swap the brake levers so the right lever is the back brake. New softer grips are in order. Seat is awesome, motor and controller are great, The 13ah battery has Samsung cells so it's a quality unit and actually has good range considering it's smaller than my other bikes. Tires stick well but I personally like the Crusades, Nice rear rack for your bags and it works as a rear fender too. Plastic front fender that comes with the bike is lousy, if you want a real front fender you'll need to buy that. Overall it's a lot of bike for the $1195 price tag! Cheers

Thanks for the review. Any suggestions for an ebike that riders sit more upright. Thanks for your help

Hi Kimberly, will you be using this bike as an on road commuter or something for off road riding?

@@lifebehindbarz60 a little of both. I'm looking at the Kepler or juiced rip current. Any thoughts? Thanks again

@@kjts33 I haven't had the opportunity to ride the Kepler but I have put a couple of hundred miles on the Rip Current S. It's a very well built bike with lots of power and good range. I liked it enough that I bought one for my wife.....she loves it! Cheers

With my Trax I'm often stopped and asked questions because it just looks good. With the XF800 bike I will probably be more sorry.
Yes, the bike is cheap but also cheap and you can see it from afar.
Even if the price is tempting, the money is wasted.
    thanks for work 👍

Hi Capt, it's funny how people see completely different things in different bikes. It's true the xf800's exposed frame mount battery looks a little clunky, I think all ebike batteries mounted on the frame look that way, but personally I don't think the bike looks cheap.
I disagree that the money for this bike is wasted money, it will do exactly what many people want an ebike for, exploring back roads and getting exercise. Lots of people don't want to spend any more than the $1200 this bike costs.
      Cheers
