Thanks for the very cool review. I am still doing research on e bikes but your input and experience with your bike has further opened my eyes. You would be a blast to ride with!
You have stated the exact reasons I bought this bike ! Thank you for posting ! One problem I have had is the LHS pedal shaft seems to loosen on it's own but I'm working on a fix for that .
i've had this xf800 since june 2018. compared to every one else doing reviews on this bike i have been brutal on it taking it to newly opened walking/bike parks one that's along the mississippi river and another that goes around 3 lakes with some of the funnest midwest terrain. at some point i'm going to hit up some midwest skii resorts up by lake superior, but i need to buy another battery first as the first one isn't going to have the range i'll need to cover 45 miles of hilly wilderness terrain. i can get 15 miles/half a charge at the 3 lakes bike park and the slopes there are going to be nothing compared to a skii resort in low land hills. don't be afraid to take this out into the country or dirt roads, i get about 23-27 miles at level 1-level2 pedal assist with just enough for level 3-5 to get me home the last few miles as the sun sets on my evening bike rides. i average about 20-25 mile bike rides even when i lived in the adirondak mountains in new york. i've got about 1200 miles on mine when the hall sensor went out half way thru a mountain bike challenge course (aka deer track) i took the motor apart and discovered the sensor wires weren't soldered together very well and one had pulled out of the sensor circuit board. i soldered it back onto the flimsy circuit board but it still doesn't work right. it doesn't stop me from using the bike any and the pedal assists works on lvl 1 only. with out the sensors working it makes a horrible grinding noise and the power is way less, i suspect the motor is fighting itself when you try to use it, as there isn't any noise with the motor off or the power off. haven't gotten around to fixing it, but there is a guy on youtube that fixes them and shows you how to do it yourself, and you can send them in to him as well.
New XF800 owner here too. Done about 15 miles so far (yeah…that new!). Agree 100% with the praise from the vid poster. ONE WARNING: I am a bit short in the leg (29 inches) and with the saddle at its lowest and cutting two inches off the bottom of the seat post to get it even lower….I can only just climb aboard. Once seated I still can’t fully flatfoot on the ground…so when stopping, I have to be real careful not to go over sideways! For a person of say 33+ inch inside leg it would be a perfect fit. One nice thing about an ultra low saddle position, is the handle bars are now six inches higher than the saddle giving a nice ‘cruiser’ stance instead of the bum higher than your head position favoured by racer types.
Hey great review I've been looking at e-bikes for some time now had my eye on the XF 800 or the 900 I think these are good bikes for the price from one out of shape old dude to another thanks for the video
I prefer the fat tire because you can deflate them and ride on the beach and they also just seem kinda more road worthy but I'm not a motorcycle rider so I really wouldn't know too much about that.
I'll be purchasing an XF800 in due course, in white/black. I believe its possible to use the 48v 17a battery used in the XF900, I understand someone from the Cyrusher Owners Group on Facebook mentioned it in reply to another comment. Would you try that, Jeff? Kind regards from the UK. Ride safe.
Thanks Wayne and kind regards to you also! I'm nervous to modify it for a couple reasons. First of all, I think anything faster would get scary to be honest. I got a little scared going down a huge hill and almost hit 40mph lol. The other reason is that I am afraid that I'd brick something.
Hi Jeff thanks for the video I just bought one XF800 and want to get some accessories like the back bag and gopro attachment where did you get yours and how much?
Hi Dennis, thank you! I got the gopro/phone mount at walmart believe it or not. It's made for motorcycles. I got a lot of other stuff on amazon and here's some links. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EOB89JA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KXWCTJ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZFQJQRV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081SPFP5L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JMP5K15/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 www.walmart.com/ip/Goxt-Motorcycle-ATV-Phone-Holder-and-Action-Camera-Mount-Black/192689854
Oh and one last thing....I kinda merged the phone holder from another mount with this one. I took the part that your phone attaches to from this amazon one and put it on the walmart one lol www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088QYVF2Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Great video! I think you just put another old fat dude on an ebike. I’d like to hear the horn. Others mention it is loud but never demonstrate. Thanks for the review.
I have a rad ebike with a bell, and a super 73 with a horn. The horn is great for when I ride on the rode. But it makes it hard to communicate in a friendly sounding way on the bike trail. I prefer the bell. The people on my trail are generally friendly though. Maybe I would feel differently if not. Lol I'm thinking about selling my super73 for a cyrusher. I want to be able to stand up and pedal.
I think yes but I suggest checking the Facebook group called cyrusher bikes owners group. I've seen a similar question answered by people that are taller than you also.

You have stated the exact reasons I bought this bike ! Thank you for posting ! One problem I have had is the LHS pedal shaft seems to loosen on it's own but I'm working on a fix for that .
Thanks for the compliment. I hope you're still loving your XF800!

Hello Jeff.
I recently ordered the Xf 690.
Im hoping that when it arrives I will have the same experience.
Thanks for the review of your bike.

Awesome, Jeff!
Thank you Cyrusher family!
@PatLew the bike came directly from Cyrusher in China
Awesome review Jeff, really upbeat (",) have the first thumbs up from me
Thanks Glen!!!! ;-)
also shared this video in group and Cyrusher facebook page
i just bought one and waiting for it to be delivered but im wondering if you had to disable the speed limiter and if so how did you do it?
Congratulations on a great purchase! No I haven't modified the motor or controller or anything like that.
Are fat tires better? Never own not familiar with em and how to roll. I'd guess the tires would be more bouncy like hitting bumps but idk.
I prefer the fat tire because you can deflate them and ride on the beach and they also just seem kinda more road worthy but I'm not a motorcycle rider so I really wouldn't know too much about that.

Did you upgrade from Ancheer? 2,350.00 looks great. Congrats.
Yes and I love love love the Cyrusher so much! Thank you! :-)

Thank you! I love this bike so much but it doesn't come with a horn. I didn't add one yet either. Maybe I should.

Life expentancy of motor? Probally a dc motor so are the brushes replaceable when they wear out.
They are probably brushless like an ac motor, I know very little about this bike but rc cars went brushless a long time ago , they are way better
not sure but it's still going strong like the first day I got it.
Great video I'm 138kg would be able to handle my weight.
Thank you
Where did you buy it?
From Cyrusher's website directly
Thanks, and ride safe!
Battery life still good with 1k miles?
Yes!
I WOULD LOVE ONE OF EM 250W STICKER, ANY HELP?
sorry it looks like the one I got is not available anymore but here it is for reference www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XXYDFQH
also do you need the sticker on the motor.?
Not really but just in case and also kind of as a joke
Is this a fatbike
yes
Are you sure you're not smoked up? Sounds like it.
Lol positive
Is this bike suitable for person height of 6ft 1
I think yes but I suggest checking the Facebook group called cyrusher bikes owners group. I've seen a similar question answered by people that are taller than you also.
What kind of medical Marijuana do you like?
lol White Runtz and Gushers are some of my favorites these days
He talks too much..
lol duly noted, thanks for the feedback. Isnt that the point of a review video though? Maybe put it on 2x speed?
