Amber: 2 Michelin Star French Restaurant Review - At The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong

Presenting a progressive menu, Amber is a celebration of pure flavours, masterful techniques and a creative vision - helmed by Dutch-born, celebrity chef Richard Ekkebus. 2021 saw a radical revamp at this iconic, multi-award winning, two Michelin Starred French restaurant located at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The new Adam Tihany designed interior is refined, relaxing, warm and stylish, with neutral colours and organic forms, luxury materials and a gold & beige palette. Ekkebus has completely revamped the menu and created a whopping 50 new dishes with an imaginative, clean and natural culinary ethos, presented with flair - for an incredible dining experience. Using only the finest ingredients, Ekkebus uses his classical training and contemporary talent to create dishes to excite and enthuse even the most jaded palate.
As opposed to the à la carte menu in the past, Amber now offers only masterful prix-fixe menus, including a dairy and gluten-free vegetarian one with reduced salt & sugar. During lunch - three, four or five course menus are presented, while for dinner, you can choose from five, six or seven course options. Vegetarian menu options are available for all meals. Top-notch ingredients, mostly from Japan, are crafted into light and delicate creations with a modern touch.
Price: Starting from USD 120+ to USD 270+ Per Person for a 3 - 6 course menu (not including drinks). My particular meal was a custom crafted 9 course full Amber Experience with fine wine pairing.
