I grew up in DeVeaux (on the US side) and going down to the water level in the gorge at Devil's Hole or Whirlpool Park and traversing the gorge trails was just a normal every-day thing we did as teenagers in the summer. Seeing the waves of the rapids go crashing by 10 - 15 feet high one after another and NEVER stopping with no other sound but the silence of nature was mesmerizing. It was an incredible place to grow up in the 1960s and 1970s. And it was totally off the beaten path of all the tourists at the falls. I miss it.
@@bruceh92 Sometime during the period of ice ages I assume. Probably not hard to find if you look it up. There were quite a few floods from repeated ice ages.
You may be surprise that Niagara fall may be the soul contributor of the entire Lake Ontario water. Which means that any day Niagara Fall stops to flow Lake Ontario may dry up.
For those who are hikers there is a spectacular path along the top of the gorge there are several trails well maintained, the views are great. good hiking boots advised. no charges
MUSIC WAS SO APPEALIN THAT WATER AND VIEW OF THE FALLS RULED THE SENSES , APART WATER HAS ITS BRNEFITS , BUT ALSO HAS SIDEEFFECTS , BUT HERE THE VIEW WAS SO PICTURESQUE WATER WAS GUSHIN ROLLIN AND WHOSOEVER PASSED BY IT WAVED GOODBYE TO EVERYONE
Good Question! It would be showing up around 1:47 on the left hand side. It crosses the whirlpool from Canada to Canada. We can see the top of the gorge in the shot and maybe the landing site, but I don't see the wires.
You skipped a lot of the river, what about the part that splits and goes around Grand Island, NY. You make it look like it starts right near Niagara falls Us/Canada.
It was still a nice video. It should have started just before the Peace Bridge. They may have edited it down for some kind of time thing or maybe the limits of renting a helicopter, from the area.
That is a beautiful place! Thanks for showing it to us.
Beautiful area. My GF is from around here and we visit as often as we can. Great video. Thanks for posting.
So blessed to live in this area
So beautiful, what a clean & clear water !! ,
Everything is perfect in this video!
I enjoyed the ride. Thanks for adding.
I was at NNiagarra Fallon the Canadian side in 1967. Back then it was great. I would love to see the falls again. Maybe I will.
Большое спасибо. Был здесь в 2015 и 2017 годах. Очень красиво
I live on the gorge. It is truly beautiful. I love the Rapids.

I love ❤️ niagata falls too much ♥️🌹🌺❤️
WOWW,,NICE!!ENJOY!!
wow wasn't this a nice way to view the Niagara River thank you
At 1:37 there are ancient plunge pools where the waterfall used to be. The one where the river turns must have been amazing back when it existed.
I wonder how long ago that was.

You may be surprised to know that if every river in the world dried up then the oceans will cease to exist. 😜
Water will flow thru the welland canal to lake Ontario
Csodálatos volt

Awesome great video, shows a flat earth as well
It sure does if you have a flat sense of mind. I don't mind living on a sphere.
What happened to the Spanish aerocar over the river? Great video, thanks.

Where does it end up? Into the sea?

Where's the third fall?
2nd and 3rd fall are right next to eachother. They almost look like 1.
I’m beginning to think that I can’t type any more. I was saying that I was at Niagara Falls in 1967. I was on the Canadian side.
