"Century drive", a loop that takes you to several beautiful spots in the Cascades west of Bend. Smith Rock State Park & the Crooked River Canyon The head waters of the Metolius river. Wallowa lake St park.
Bro sisters?😂 i mean i think that sisters, bend, and portland are the top three worst places in oregon. Explore outside those places great, but the towns themselves are just stuck up rich people and its not truly oregon. You will know when you have found a good spot, because everyone you pass on the road will wave at you. And if you ask them to tell you about some spots they will probably tell you, but you have to make a deal with them to keep it off social media. Oregons most beautiful places are hidden from most
I and my husband did a roadtrip to Oregon last summer and only visited 2 out of 10 places. Vista House is another great place to enjoy the spectacular view of Columbia River Gorge. Definitely want to go back to visit the other places.
As an Oregonian, thank you for this. I love my home state because of how beautiful it is. And that you can go to the woods, mountain, desert and beach all with an hour to an hour and a half from Portland. It always amazes me to think that Oregon is pretty much 2/3 desert, but it is also beautiful there too. Wish you would have featured things from the East side of Oregon too. Still, a great video. 😊
Lots of people enjoy the Oregon coast in spring and summer. Me, I don't like crowds, so I visit the beach in winter. To see the angry Pacific in a violent storm is something you will never forget. And (If you're prepared for it.) Winter camping in the Wallowa Mtns. is more than just cool, its damn cold! Last time I was there it was minus 37 degrees in Joseph. Oregon is so beautiful you can live here for years and not see half of what there is. Thanks for part one, there's plenty more.
Great video. Native Oregonian here. Cannon Beach has always been my favorite Oregon destination. But think its cool the way you showed how beautiful my state is to the world.
Oregon has countless famous waterfalls, but I love Silver Falls State Park in particular. There a hiking trail where over the course of a few hours you can hike to see 10 waterfalls. It's hardly advertised on TH-cam Oregon vids, so it is definitely a hidden gem. Oregon truly is one of the most beautiful states in America, I absolutely agree.
Thank you!!! I grew up in Salem,Oregon during the 1970s and early 80s. My family would often picnic, ski, and canoe up in the beautiful mountains of Oregon. Or we would frequent the beautiful free beaches down by Newport and Lincoln , Oregon. I have very many fond precious childhood memories of the incredible nature in Oregon, and it's famous ☔ rainy days! But ,as everyone knows, not every day in Oregon is like that. There are terrific sunny days there too. My family and I had to move from Oregon to Connecticut in the early 80s,bummer. I have yet to go back there. This video helped. Thank you
@@RyanShirley Sweden, far in the north. Well, mostly east compared to Oregon. There are some good sights here as well, but it seems like the US has us beat with waterfalls and big nature experiences.
Native Oregonian, the movie Stand By Me was filmed in the town founded by my family (Brownsville, maiden name is Brown), that, too is a great place to go. There is a museum with a converted traincar that is a small movie theater that shows silent movies. They have entire storefronts from the 19th century inside the museum. There are memorable spots throughout the town from the movie Stand By Me, such as the spot where the coin was picked up in the street, pioneer park where the pie eating contest was, etc. Very fun, historical, and interesting place.
I'm late to comment here, but idk. I'm so glad to see someone truly see the beautiful state that I love with all my heart. I've lived there all my life and honestly can't see myself living anywhere else. One place I can recommend for Oregon is Silver Falls, it holds 12 different falls, redwoods trails, and the main one is about 3-4 miles long.
Viví en Oregon y estoy muy agradecido con ese estado y su gente.. Los lugares para camping son muy hermosos... Saludos desde puerto escondido Oaxaca...
I live in Portland too - and have issue with the way things are going to say the least. But Oregon overall is a great as ever! Portland has problems, but the rest of Oregon is as good or better than the 90's and probably well before. It's stunning. Great infrastructure, big state, small population, welcoming people. It's heaven. The whole state is an adventure. I can't believe I get to live here.
Oregon is one of the most geographically diverse states in the U.S., marked by volcanoes, abundant bodies of water, dense evergreen and mixed forests, as well as high deserts and semi-arid shrublands. At 11,249 feet (3,429 m), Mount Hood, a stratovolcano, is the state's highest point. Oregon's only national park, Crater Lake National Park, comprises the caldera surrounding Crater Lake, the deepest lake in the United States. The state is also home to the single largest organism in the world, Armillaria ostoyae, a fungus that runs beneath 2,200 acres (8.9 km2) of the Malheur National Forest.
I live in Oregon, and for anyone who is looking for another place to visit, I’d recommend Green Peter & Foster Lake!!! These lakes are so beautiful, and the water temperatures are 70s-80s. They are right next to each other, Green Peter flows into Foster. I love camping at these spots and swimming there as well. ❤️
Good video. As an ex-Oregonian, I learned of a couple places I had never visited. But you missed three really great spots 1. Steens Mountain with the Malheur Wildlife refuge 2. the painted hills with a nearby natural history museum that has skeletons found in the area including elephants the size of small dogs and huge dinosaur sharks 3. hell's canyon.
I am born and raised in Oregon. My favorite place might be cresent lake. Beautiful blue water, awesome scenery and tons of outdoor activities no matter the season
Crator Lake near Klamath Falls! So beautiful & serene. If you've been experiencing alot of stress, it just falls off of you looking at the gorgeous lake and pine trees. So still & quiet, you feel like you've had a spiritual experience. Everyone should visit it there at least once!
Very beautiful places! Thanks for putting this list together, I will definitely have to plan a road trip once my son gets a little older so that he can enjoy it as much as I will.

Fell in love with Oregon several summers ago after a visit to Seattle, took the coast road home, back to Central CA from Newport Oregon, just amazing, see this makes you want to return
Wallowa in northeast Oregon is my FAVORITE place in the world! On the backside of the lake (it dead ends) are cabins, river, horse rentals, lots of hiking, or horse riding into the blue mountains and several lakes. There is a beautiful camp ground on the lake and and a huge lodge. Before the lake is the small town of Joseph, and Enterprise. It's MAGICAL!!!
Hey man, Oregon native (born and lived here all but 2 years). I appreciate a tourists perspectives of what this place has to offer. Thanks for some good ideas and a good reminder of how lucky I am to live here :)
I love the countryside in OR and WA. It’s wonderful to think of the settlers that farmed and loved the land. We had 40 acres on Peoria Rd. , by Corvallis. Chicken farm. Loved in North Bend for most of childhood.
Check out Silver Falls State Park outside of Salem. Not only is it green and beautiful, it’s so cool to be able to walk behind a waterfall. Also if you like rocks, drive down past Mt. Hood for an hour or so until you get to Smith Rock. It’s so beautiful.
A great video tour of Oregon! Seeing people cliff dive into the Blue Pool was impressive, but people have died doing so. The water is so cold that it can cause muscles to seize up and a risk of drowning. That being said, the trail is fantastic and there is a rough path down to a rock platform for jumping in at the surface. It is considered a rite of passage and very entertaining to watch people react to the ice cold water!
The minute you said "I love rocks and apparently anything shaped like a wizards hat" made me really laugh and clicked subscribe. Lol. Thank you for this! I plan to visit Oregon in April for my birthday and this was exactly what I wanted to know about. Thank you!!!
Thank you for visiting! I've lived here for more of my almost 44 years. Nothing like the beauty of oregon and believe me i've tried to live other places but there's nothing like home
Five years ago I moved from the deep south to the Oregon coast. Your video is beautiful amd inspiring and only touches on a small fraction of the amazing places to explore here. Every roadside pullout has hidden views, little trails, snowy mountains, old growth forest, expansive river and ocean views, towering waterfalls, deep blue lakes..they are literally everywhere! I am convinced this is the most beautiful state in all of the lower 48 US states. I love it here. Good to point out though, that some places are not accessible in the winter months, and beware of the ocean. It is as treacherous as it is dramatically beautiful. ❤
Thanks Gail for your kind words! Everything you said is true! I could probably make a top 100 video if I had enough time to visit all the wonderful spots of the state!
Hopefully Oregon will be my future home. My son and his gf moved out there with the kiddos 3 months ago and he absolutely loves it. Can't wait to follow him. I hear Oregon is an absolutely beautiful state ❤️

This is a great video. I've lived in Oregon all my life and there are a few of these places that I still haven't seen yet so it looks like a coastal road trip is in order for this summer. Just so everyone knows, most of Oregon, east of the coastal mountain range, is actually high dessert so there are some beautiful sites that you don't want to miss in the central and eastern parts of the state. There are Wallowa Lake and the Wallowa Mountain range, Steens Mountain, Hells Canyon, the Alvord Desert and many more incredible places to explore. Thanks for posting this. I look forward to an Oregon part 2.

Unfortunaly crater lake and other beautiful lake around are getting lower and lower all thw water ia disappearing because of the water use for farmers and fires its sade really tingley lake is literally just a puddle now it just sucks
The state's coastal region produces significant tourism as well. The Oregon Coast Aquarium comprises 23 acres (9.3 ha) along Yaquina Bay in Newport, and was also home to Keiko the orca whale. It has been noted as one of the top ten aquariums in North America. Fort Clatsop in Warrenton features a replica of Lewis and Clark's encampment at the mouth of the Columbia River in 1805. The Sea Lion Caves in Florence are the largest system of sea caverns in the United States, and also attract many visitors. In Southern Oregon, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, held in Ashland, is also a tourist draw, as is the Oregon Vortex and the Wolf Creek Inn State Heritage Site, a historic inn where Jack London wrote his 1913 novel Valley of the Moon.
Didn't realize Oregon has so many amazing places to explore and see. The coast is indeed beautiful. And then there's the Tillamook cheese and ice cream factory.🥰
2:22 - Agreed re Crater Lake, absolute stunner and must-see. Fyi - No scuba diving, swimming, kayaking, boating, even windsurfing allowed. Which is why the water is so pristine. There are boat tours by the ranger station to the island you can schedule.

1. Multnomah Falls
2. Mt. Hood
3. Oneonta Falls
4. Cape Kiwanda Beach
5. Smith Rock State Park
6. Neahkanie Mountain
7. Latourell Falls
8. Woodburn Tulip Farm
9. Trillum Lake
10. Pips Doughnuts :)
Amazing list!
Def legit list when I saw you had oneonta falls as one of your top places!!!!
be in good shape or bring a kayak if you're going to Oneonta, it's worth the work to get to.
How many days will this take to do all 10?
Man I still need to get to Oneonta Falls. Unfortunately I moved here post Eagle Creek fire, so the trail has never been open when I went. This summer its for sure happening.
Some other fun stops in Oregon:
- Smith Rick
- Painted Hills
- Sisters (the town)
- Abiqua Falls
I gotta go back and check them out!
Tell me from central Oregon without telling me you’re central Oregon 😂. I grew up on the coast but have called Sunriver Or home for 12 yrs. and I can’t agree more with this guy ❤️
@@RyanShirley nah don't trust him sisters gay as hell
"Century drive", a loop that takes you to several beautiful spots in the Cascades west of Bend.
Smith Rock State Park & the Crooked River Canyon
The head waters of the Metolius river.
I live in the Central Oregon High Desert. I love it here. There is so much to do. Unfortunately it's extremely expensive to live here.
@@SagebrushRambles Is it worth visiting? Im looking for some random fun places to see in Oregon or Washington
Love Coos Bay, great town, great beaches so much fun.
The east side of the state has some amazing places. Steens Mountain, Alford Desert, Painted Hills, Wallowa Lake etc. Oregon is so diverse.
Hells Canyon too.
Oh, I forgot the John Day Fossil Beds and the Picture Gorge!
Great tips! :)
Great video. Native Oregonian here. Cannon Beach has always been my favorite Oregon destination. But think its cool the way you showed how beautiful my state is to the world.
I live in Florence and it's pretty cool to see the lighthouse and sea lion caves get some recognition
is this lighthouse a far drive from Portland?
Oregon has countless famous waterfalls, but I love Silver Falls State Park in particular. There a hiking trail where over the course of a few hours you can hike to see 10 waterfalls. It's hardly advertised on TH-cam Oregon vids, so it is definitely a hidden gem. Oregon truly is one of the most beautiful states in America, I absolutely agree.
Silver falls definitely isn’t a hidden gem and is advertised plenty. It’s always packed on the weekends
Thank you!!!
I grew up in Salem,Oregon during the
1970s and early 80s.
My family would often picnic, ski, and canoe up in the beautiful mountains of Oregon.
Or we would frequent the beautiful free beaches down by Newport and Lincoln ,
Oregon.
I have very many fond precious childhood memories of the incredible nature in Oregon, and it's famous ☔
rainy days!
But ,as everyone knows,
not every day in Oregon is like that.
There are terrific sunny days there too.
My family and I had to move from Oregon to Connecticut in the early 80s,bummer.
I have yet to go back there.
This video helped.

Thanks so much! Hope you can visit soon! Where are you from?
You just brought back some wonderful memories. I used to live in Oregon and I have been to many of these places. Oregon is so beautiful.

@@cleawox hi if I were to visit Oregon, which city is the best to stay in?
I live in Oregon there is so many small towns that are also amazing and I would recommend go look at them especially the capital
The great thing about Oregon beaches is on any given day you could have the whole beach to yourself.
So true! I loved having it all to yourself
@Human Being not all the time in the summer the beach can be so warm
@Human Being well that was you and your experience with Oregon
Can u park a 4x4 on the sand and spend the night?
I live in Oregon, and for anyone who is looking for another place to visit, I’d recommend Green Peter & Foster Lake!!! These lakes are so beautiful, and the water temperatures are 70s-80s. Good video. As an ex-Oregonian, I learned of a couple places I had never visited. But you missed three really great spots
1. Steens Mountain with the Malheur Wildlife refuge
2. the painted hills with a nearby natural history museum that has skeletons found in the area including elephants the size of small dogs and huge dinosaur sharks
3. hell's canyon.
Moved to Southern Oregon two years ago, we’ve been loving discovering all the new natural beauty.

Damn. You didn't even make it to Eastern Oregon. Painted hills, hell's canyon, pendleton roundup, eagle caps.
Oregon is truly a gem that just keeps on giving... you missed the entire east side of the state, though!

Pretty cool right :)
before st helens errupted you could see it from portland too. it was very prominent

You live in such a special place! What part are you from?

I have to say that one of the reasons Oregon is so beautiful is because all of the Native Oregonians, me included, keep it a secret from outsiders. That's why you can be the only person on the beach.
