The discrepancy in grouping in relation to pressure with the same round is due to rifling rate. A tighter rifle rate chews up lighter bullets at max pressure, and slower rifling at low high pressure is best for heavier pills
HI, Mrhollowpoint1. Your video was very helpful for the Texan308 and Texan 308LSS from 5 years ago and 3 years ago. I also have a texan 308 LSS (no moderator) and the information on air pressure and power dial for bullet weight was helpful. No other videos are this helpful. By the way, since the Texan 308 SS has a different barrel length from the LSS, is it okay to think that they are completely different? How to adjust them? thank you.
Is Mr HP’s “out” music from one of the greatest cartoons of my generation (my opinion)… The Adventures of Jonny Quest? Does anyone know how Suppressed models compare to the non-suppressed models? I have a standard 34” .308 and I love it! Just wondered if the SS family is as accurate as the standard models?
The 34 " long barrel gives you about +/_100 fps of speed shooting the same slug. I would hit targets accurately up 300 to 400 yards with the 24" SS ; ince I replaced the barrel and spring to a 34" configuration I can hit targets from 600 yards up to 1000 yards . I would recommend the 155 gr. from Mr. Hollowpoint as they're the best customized ammo you can get.
No I didn't. I got a noise maker from African Air Ordnance. I use the Texans for long range shooting, no need for me to suppress the noise. (The 34" LSS is as quiet as the 24" SS) Accurate and powerful guns .
@@carlosugarte1450 - I’ve got the standard non-suppressed 34”. I’ve not shot it past 200 yards but It prints sub 4” groups at 200 yards with 120’s untethered for 3 shot groups.
@@motorgearhead if it's possible for you to get an external regulator for your air tank and tether ? It makes a big time difference when you get the same pressure in every shot. No drop on your point of impact . Smaller groups. I can easily go through 75 good shots out of a 4500psi 9L tank at 3000 psi shooting the .308 or .257 cal. Texans. Enjoy your shooting motorgearhead.
I just cannot get past a mature design where the manufacturer refuses to increase shot count or regulate air. If i could get 10 good shots per fill, I'd buy 2 but NEEDING to tether in the field on a coyote hunt is ridiculous and just shows how narrow minded the designers are. As long as you adhere to our restricions or hunt without ethics, our gun is for you.
Thanks for the awesome ammo I ordered after watching part 1 .high quality and expertly packaged can't wait to try the 205 spritzers
Dude... I hope that was a "Spicy Italian"..
😂
Thanks for the info.. I have been burying my 457 slugs in the Texan.

Are the slugs you mold 7.62x39mm (.312" Diameter)???
Where did you get the dovetail to picatinny rail shown here?
I sell them
What pressure booster are you using and where do you get them?
@Tony-o1b 2900 to 3000 psi in the texan which is normal.
