If I had cake like that I would get one,,,,and probably love it. Instead of a 45 HP max with pump action and a SF standard and a AVA bullpup and a Airacuda Max 30 and several others over the last year I should of just got the Western Rattler!!! and a Notos for yard fun!!
Thank you Bob!!!! It was pleasure watching you use the rattler!!! It’s a privilege having you use it and tune it in sharing your knowledge and expertise!!!! YOU’RE AWESOME!!!!!
I own the .30, and now want the other 2 calibers. This is like a Barrett M82 but chambered in .452. Really impressive numbers. The consistent velocities with your 260 grain really impressed me. 12 consistent shots averaging around 450 f.p.e., is unheard of let alone semi- automatic. The Rattler is still in its own class. Thanks for sharing and be well.
It's interesting how western can create more power with less air pressure. Very good air management because it's creating the same power as my 50 caliber. AEA Megaladon. Which is not only 4500psi, but a 50cal. But this western is just 3600psi-457 cal. But same power
Great set of possible slugs. Velocities all seem strong and appropriate. I am interested in the effects of sizing. Years ago I did a lot of experimentation in .177 and .22 cal in high end springers. Beeman made pellet sizing dies. For these very small calibers, compared to .45 diameter and weights, sizing was critical for accuracy and fps sd. For different design pellets of similar weight, sizing made a tremendous difference in accuracy. For these big boys, I would imagine that their mass will overwhelm sizing effects but it will be very interesting to see. Thanks for the thoroughness of your evaluations.
Not sure if you ever have time to answer slug questions but here goes…My LCS SK-19 .25 cal has a LW MG Polygonal choked barrel and I would love to find a slug that works in it. A .250 slug from most so far fit loose in the mag and at 25 yards look like a round of #4 buckshot. With 34 grain FX pellets it will hold a quarter at 75 yards but this hammerless system so powerful and untapped. A proper slug would really be helpful for those really long fun shots…any ideas??? BTW the power knob on mine has 150 clicks total from zero to wide open. Hope that helps. They should be the same I would think but TBH I have never fired the Rattler .45 only the LCS.
I love the idea of this air rifle but I can't help but wish it had a 900cc or 1000cc bottle but I suppose it would be a little harder to maneuver around. But so far as I can tell none of the shops that have the pre-orders up allow for an upgraded bottle.
Not sure if you were filling to 250 bar for a particular reason, but the maximum fill pressure is 300 bar. You’ll get a much more consistent shot string at the 300 bar.

Outstanding
Love my RATTLER 😮

Excellent video as always I can't afford a rattler😮

Only the Great Kami from Donny will fit. Western is making an adapter
Excellent video my friend. Very informative 👍
Thanks for another great review
Robert, those muzzle threads are metric M17-1 pitch. Tricky to get a mzzle brake for, but doable with some bore drilling required to 1/2"...

@_Airgun_Hunter_ manual says 3600, which i though was odd since it says 300 bar on the side
@@Mrhollowpoint1 thats odd, my manual and tank both say 300 bar.
So you can adjust the power wheel and you don't have do mess with the regulator?
Out of lazy curiosity... is the Longstrike also "select fire"?
@@robmack151 semi-auto no full auto
Are you demoing the Long Strike or the standard 45 Rattler and is there a difference in size of Ammo you can use across the two?
it is possible to change the size of the barrel? looks so long for me
Did you get this after pork slam? Thought you used a 35 ah figured it out few seconds later
