I grew up in poverty and was very hungry a lot of the time as a child. Thank you for making these videos for people like me, who didn’t have anyone to teach me and also who did not have the means to learn how to cook meals when I was younger.
I can’t stop watching your channel!! You make the BEST “What’s for Tea” meals. I have made most of what I watched, wrote the recipe down and shipped for all I needed. The meals are East, but simply delicious. I’m 77. Probably your oldest fan but I still love to cook. Thank you for brightening my life.
Thank you, I am going to make this this evening. Of course I’ve made chicken hot pot many times, and I am always looking at how others make it.I’ve never used the spice combination that you have used. I always use oregano, basil, sage, garlic, marjoram tarragon, salt snd pepper. It will be interesting to see the difference in flavor. I’ve also never tried turnip in chicken hotpot. So I am really looking forward to this evenings meal 😃
Wow so glad I found your channel I have made 3 meals of yours this week already....chicken stroganoff potato and lentil soup and this. Can’t wait to try more x thankyou
This recipe is genuinely homely. I cooked this for dinner and everybody loved how creamy and flavourful it turned out! Thanks for this amazing recipe Much love
Hi Sheryl made this yesterday the only thing I did diffrent was use chicken thighs it was amazing and the smell while it was cooking every one that came said what you cooking dad smells amazing and there next words was what's for tea lol a said a dont no what your having but where having chicken casserole lol
Cheryl. I know this is an older video but I was looking for a chicken recipe on your channel. This looked yummy. I'm in the USA. Not sure if I used too much veg or my baking dish was too shallow but my sauce bubbled over. I used the glass lid and not foil. Wish I knew how yo add a picture of it.
I have just one question? You don’t use salt and pepper? You made this whole meal without a drop of salt or paper! Nothing on the chicken or the vegetables? Why?
Hiya Jackie :) No one yet....it goes live when (if) I get to 1,500 subscribers :) I'll be popping up a wee reminder video when I'm around the 1,400 subscriber mark....just in case the newer subscribers aren't aware of the giveaway :)

In America, when we say for what's for tea...we actually have tea. In your country, does tea mean dinner?
Black tea, lemon tea, green tea....
that 1 dislike was a clear chook :)
lol :) There's always one! x
Your accent
Lovely dish and video, BUT stop calling us “guys” - you’re a Scottish woman, not an American.
Hi Iain, thanks for stopping by :) and it is indeed lovely and incredibly tasty! A must try if you like this kind of thing. I've said guys from quite a young age...and quite the habit now :)
Stupid comment! ''Guys'' is a Universal expression in the Western world.
Chill out iain
