Something I like about these quick EVs is watching videos of accelerations and hearing nothing except the reaction of the people riding lmao
When you floor it in a gas car, the engine has to rev up, the transmission might need to downshift, and there might be a little lag in the throttle body because of emissions regulations. EVs have none of that. When you floor it, you get torque NOW.

Tesla is a tech company that happens to make cars. They've never been that great about quality or avoiding bugs. If something's wrong, they'll just fix it later. I don't like Elon much but his money and vision made EVs mainstream sooner than the Nissan Leaf and the Wheego could have ever dreamed of. Gas cars, when you floor it, have to rev up and downshift. Electric cars deliver torque NOW.
That vertical screen was revolutionary when it came out and many carmakers have copied it. It's come a long way and it's incredible what's been added to it. I'm a little sad Tesla is abandoning it for a horizontal screen. Tesla used Mercedes switchgear and put as many features as possible on the screen because developing and testing buttons is hard and expensive. Coding a button isn't that hard. That trailer hitch attachment is like Hidden Hitch.
I work in software development. I'll walk through the parking garage some days and count how many Teslas there are. Let's just say there are a lot, and my building only has about 30-40% of the desks filled. Engineers love Muskmobiles because it's absolutely a gadget. My coding instructor practically made his Model 3 his personality. I have no interest in owning a Tesla but I don't hate them. I don't like Elon but I don't hate him. He's not a tech wizard visionary, he just repeatably happens to be in the right place at the right time with a lot of money.
My state doesn't allow direct sales of cars. We have a Tesla showroom at our megamall that offers test drives and assists in ordering them but the purchase + delivery happens over the state line.

Telsa isn't the only car than can read street signs. The Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 on the Corolla shows street signs in the gauge cluster. I think Honda Safety Sense also does that

Toyota/Honda doesn’t read traffic light or will stop with a red light or a Stop sign, the Tesla does

I believe so, but I wasn't ready to test my knowledge!

I'd be the crazy one to get one of these cars and put BFG off-road tires and a rooftop tent on it and take it camping.
Bro how you gonna get a rooftop tent up there with the funny doors?
Be warned, the suspension setup on the model X is NOT conducive to offroading, beyond maybe a gravel road, if you go slow. I saw another creator try to offroad one in a very easy environment and its suspension just made it unworkable.

With more and more start up companies arriving on scene, Tesla needs to step it up. and fast. Vehicles like the Lucid Air and Rivian truck are stylish and unique and look modern and fresh. Tesla all look the same as they did a decade ago, and their line up consists of shorter and/or taller versions of their other models. They're blah and mundane.
I make parts for tesla 😎 and all I can say is they are crap
I think all the new tesla should come apple car and android auto it's what ppl are use to now a days
