I will be getting married in September of next year. My fiance was my very first boyfriend from over ten years ago. We broke up after a couple years and then 4 years ago we met again. God used that in between times to grow us up and make us work together better.

I’m surprised you’re having a long engagement. Waiting for nearly another year and half during the engagement period of times places couples in more opportunities of sexual temptation which is why many pastors & counselors recommend a long dating period, but short engagement.

I definitely believe this. My current grandparents met in high school, dated, then went separate ways. They had lives separately, got married, and had lives. Eventually though, after both of their marriages had ended for different reasons, they got back together. Around 65 years later. They've been living together quietly in the woods ever since, praising God for each meal and going to church.

I'm in the same boat, we broke up 7 months ago. We met at a bad time in my life, I wasn't being my authentic self, wasn't passionate about my faith either. I hoped God would use the time apart to work on our hearts. I'm having a hard time not idolizing him and our relationship. Putting God first has been extremely difficult lately. Praying for you 💙

I feel like this is what I’m experiencing. My ex and I dated for 4 years off and on and finally broke up for 3 years. We always stayed in communication and got to a point of being comfortable in singleness. As I drew closer and closer to God he kept putting him back on my mind and my heart. I kept trying to brush it off but it was more intense as the days went on. God literally changed the way I viewed him and my feelings towards him. I finally reached out and now we are back together and have grown. It’s like everything just works much better together now than before. I can truly say God gets the glory because we couldn’t have done it on our own.

This sort of describes my parents. My dad saw my ma for the first time walking down a street around Chicago. He wanted to introduce himself, but she disappeared in the crowd. Certain years later in 1984, they finally meet at a prayer meeting.

This is the most emotionally painful situation, especially if you're not ready professionally or financially. If it doesn't work out then we feel the guilt of not being ready at the right time, and missing the chance of a lifetime. It's the (first) world which comes up with a huge list of requirements to be "ready" for the thing God actually does. Meanwhile couples start large families in literal warzones fully dependent on God and live.
Worldy people build professionally and financially and then start doing IVF, because God doesn't bless them. Or they end up with broken families, where everything checks all the boxes on the surface, but there is no Love anywhere to be seen.
Christian readiness is in the heart and in the spirit, everything else is added by Him.

I'm attending a new church, my first evangelical church. I've given my life to Christ and now I feel like I'm in the right place. I've recognized my spiritual gifts, I've learn many things about myself (still learning). I want to build my life around this church, bringing God glory by serving and loving my fellow brothers and sisters - and obviously, showing this love to the world. And God showed me this amazing girl... my first thought - "I have zero chances with her!", but then my nephew said - "Careful! Words have power!". So I've put my trust in Christ and I just had first conversation with her at youth meeting. And I really do like her, not only for her looks. But I know, I have to give it a time and assess her correctly. God surely highlited her for me, but only to help me with previous, unbelieving girl I was obsessed with. I've prayed for this girl and moved on. And this new girl, I have high hopes for. Lord's word and circumstances will tell me is she's "the one", even tho I no longer believe in such things (sorry, brother Mark). God is literally guiding me and is guarding my heart, but not allowing me to fell for her, not to have a crush - cause He loves me, understands me and showed me, how bad is infatuation to me. I've never felt more loved, safe and guarded. I understand I might be seen as infant in His eyes, but one day I'll have to grow up. Hopefully at the day of my wedding - only God knows :)
I say to you - use SINGLENESS season to learn more about GOD, about YOURSELF. Discover WHO YOU ARE in HIS EYES. It is extremely important and I've met amazing people in my church, who invited me to dinner and this one brother, gave me extremely great guidance. God told me many things by using my brother in Christ. TRUST GOD with all your HEART. You will worry, you will be scared... but fill your HEART with GOD'S TRUTHS and GUARD it - and you will feel HIS overwhelming PEACE. God bless you all!

I have experience of this kind and very related to this video. I was in my early 20+ at that time (2000-2004), I was pray to God, send me an angel to be mylife partner. In 2005, I met my ex middle school friend again, I pray to God to allow her to be mywife. God allow my request, she become mywife in 2006. And now in 2021, a girl born 2004 named as one of angel, spesific angel that sent by God to Daniel, with all aura, time as the verse in book of Daniel, blessing of an angel, sent infront of me (in mywork place) with all coincidence like. I check this girl is truly like my pray answer. Now I naming mywife is forced angel, and the girl is angel prepared and sent by God. For God answered my first pray for an angel with a baby born in 2004, and after that allow my forcing pray become real too. I got messed up now and this affect my married life.

I do agree God can bring anyone together who are suppose to be. I feel like for many people it is easier to accept the truth that we might end up together, rather than accepting the fact that we are not suppose too. I have causally dated two guys and both our relationships ended because they decided they each wanted to discern priesthood rather than continuing our relationship. I personally felt like both of these guys were suppose to end up with me at the time, God did not have this desire on their hearts. As christians, we have to will the good of the person by allowing God's will to occur. While this was a painful experience for me to go through twice, it has shown me that our will is not always aligned with God's. Therefore, in these situations we have to let go and let god in order to find true freedom surrounding our future spouse. For God always knows better than we do and what will satisfy our souls! 😊

I was literally WAITING for a confirmation and just some type of clarification on my exact situation. This video being recommended was such a relief to know that God knows what I want and knows what I need in this season. Heartbreak is a beautiful thing bc it opens our eyes and allows us to really understand everything happens for you not to you. His will shall be DONE. We met when both of us were straying away from God, we only dated for a couple of months and then went our separate ways. We had dreams of each other immediately upon meeting, and I had more dreams of him showing progression in our relationship and our relationship with God. I am now back walking with Jesus and I pray he will be shown the love of Jesus the same way I have been, and I pray that God will forgive him the way he forgave me and bring him back on the righteous path. I hope that what I feel is right and that once we both are under Jesus' wings again we can be back together. Please pray for us.

I've been in love with my best friend ever since I met her back when we were kids. We've always been close and we both brought each other closer to God. It's been 6 and a half years now and a few months ago I finally told her I loved her, she said she loved me too only to find out a few months later that she didn't have feelings for me and she was confused. She's not ready for love and I understand where she's coming from. But she's also said there's still a chance she could fall in love with me. I feel that she's the one God has chosen for me but... It's just hard to truly know when she doesn't have feelings at the moment. I'm praying God will give us guidance and clarity and that in his timing he will show us what he wants for us. I love her very much and I want to be with her, but first... I must delight in the Lord and make him my main focus.

She was in a serious relationship and i was off liking other girls distracting myself. Then one day we both had this random spark of passion inside of us for each other and told each other we liked each other. We've been dating for over 3 months going on strong long distance since she's at college. We both are in love and are here to stay together for long time to come. :)

It's amazing how detailed, nuanced, and intricate these videos are while still being so relevant to perhaps so many people. More than a few of these videos have described perfectly what I'm going through. I look back and wonder, "How could such an individually nuanced video made for the general public speak so effectively to ME even though I am in an utterly unique situation?" And yet it does. These are not general purpose platitudes in a video package. These are "custom made" scriptures and interpretations made and presented to ME. . .and maybe to you too.
Update: First saw this when I was starting to date someone someone. Now, I’m seeing this weeks after we broke up. We still have our trauma and insecurities to overcome, so I’m in the process of healing. Also been praying to God to heal me and to wait on their timing. Realized I still have feelings for my ex, but perhaps it was just the wrong time.

The fourth of your videos directly regarding what's going on in my situation that's popped up in a row. I try not to think too much about this, but this has helped prep me regardless. I liked his savage, awful humor, but the thing that stood out to me was his ministry. There was also the fact that my best friend had told me, "you need a man that appreciates x,y,z about you, which are things that people find out about you over time." The guy I met knew about those qualities in me immediately. Finally, as someone in my thirties who was married once, this is the first time I've felt like this is the person.
We're not good for each other right now, but I've prayed and fasted (to what I'm able to do), and this stuff keeps coming up. Don't know what that means yet. I'm not entirely convinced that it's not supposed to happen. I'm trying not to imagine the future, though, other than my own personal future. I'll be fine either way. I completely nuked it. I did every single perceivable red flag, out of raw anxiety. If it's God's will, it will work. All I have to worry about is God.
Please pray for me, in the name of the Trinity.
I can't wait to meet my Godly soul mate for life⚘until then, i will keep preparing myself to be a good understanding and loving wife that God wants me to be. Stay humble and kind everyone 💛

So true. To God be the glory . I have met a wonderful Christian man. We have met online during COVID PANDEMIC. We live in different countries, believing for a miracle of international visa and travel . We keep praying and growing our relationship from a distance.
It hurts when you had someone amazing in your life and it didn’t work out because you were on different pages. She was halfway through the book and I was stuck on the prologue wondering if I should even start. Now she’s gone and I have no one to blame but myself. I am full of emptiness and regret but also comforted by knowing that God is in control. At best she will come back into my life and at worst God is allowing me to go through this time of pain and hardship to help me grow into a better man. Either way it is good and I am thankful.
It's maybe providential that I ran across your comment. I felt we have more or less the same story. I met this gentleman about a few months ago and I knew that it was him. But like you, we weren't on the same pages. What I like to share with you is that I am actually happy for him - that he wants to do this work with himself. He has issues that he alone can deal with. And I felt I need to tell you that, yes, it does hurt but I'm actually proud of him to do this work. And I believe that if I truly love him, I have to also respect his choice... even suffer the distance and the silence for him. Today, we like to portray love simply as chemistry, we have a fairytale childish notion of love. Love is about giving oneself - of what we can give to respect that which is good for the other. Love is patient as St. Paul said. Let love be love. I don't know the rest of your story ... but I do hope and pray you get to have the courage to find her, connect with her again... if she really is your true love, prove to her that you're a new man who wants to start again and something greater with her. May the God who is Love bless you!

i feel the same way I'm still young, and he too and I like him so much since 2 years when I was 14. Now we're in a youth group and we have something to do with each other more and more often. I told him that I like him more than other guys and he said that he likes me too, but is still too young ... Now I hope that God brings us together 😭❤️ Because I still like him that way. Please pray for us🙏🏼😅

Wow I love this story. Something like this happened to me when I was 14 too and me and my family moved states so i guess its because it was the wrong timing. 3 years later I still remember him as if it was yesterday

I watched this the other day, didn’t have time to make a comment though. Wow. I have been praying very specific for clarification, even with watching this I am still going to continue to pray and be led by the Holy Spirit! Sometimes it can be false. The person that I am interested in now for a year, we are both young so I know things are different and slow. he became a very close friend, last year I asked God what he wanted me to do, God told me to wait, if I rushed into it, he would push me away, so I did wait, slowly we built a godly friendship! It really progress through the summer, I am so thankful for him, and I have realized that I have fallen in love with him though, and even as a friend I can’t imagine my life without him. I am so happy for him, he’s been called to go work under another pastor, it’s kind of a little far away, we are both young, and how his family does things we don’t have contact unless we talk at church, we have many meaningful conversations talking about what God is doing in both our life’s, but it’s really confusing how great things were and are going but just trying remembering proverbs 3:5-6. We are good friends i know some things are going to change not seeing him unless he visits for what could be here and there through the next couple of years. I don’t want to say that he is the “the one” because I am not God, but God has given many signs that he could be, through specific prayer and a list that I made when I was 13! All the qualities, and I really truly have never met anyone that I have respected more then him, I know that sometimes there can be good godly man that aren’t ours, through many things it’s just kind of waiting, praying and reading God’s word. we both have expressed interest in each, the more that I have been praying about it, I have prayed that it be God’s desire that be my hearts desire to do what God wants me to do. I don’t want what I want for myself but I want what God wants for me and for him. Even of what’s happening today it is very strongly put on my heart to stay close to the word God is saying through it all, it’s not always easy but I have learned how to be content, and to give my love life to God. I know that it will happen if he is. I really truly just want what is best for both of us, He really is a man of integrity, a God fearing man, through his example and getting to know his character he has really shown me who he is in Christ! I know that we are both in different seasons right now. Even though I am standing still, still trying to do my growing up part lol, while he continues to go do God’s work. Only time and prayer will tell if he is. God has very clearly have told me to trust in his plan for my life, and trust in him with all my heart I knowledge him in all my ways, that this is something precious that is not in season. I have got the “wait” lol. Not to do anything because he’s going towards something he can’t right now with our friendship. I know that sometimes the “wait” might actually be a “no” after a lot of prayer I know that God is really truly asking me to trust in God. Maybe he could be the one, it’s funny how God has revealed half and not the other half I can’t know lol, that’s when it’s a little bit frustrating 😂, but he is so good! And has perfect timing every time! God has shown me through his word and through prayer that if he did that I might do something that he doesn’t want me to do, Delay is protection! Just going to trust, and take him at his word. Thank you brother mark, it was a encouragement and truly God timing! Thank you for your willingness to do what God has called you to do. I've been talking to someone in another country for 7 months now and I truly believe he is the one. I believe this coz I've been Christian my whole life but have never been so in love with God like I am right now. He is the one that brought me closer to God. With Covid around, borders are closed, there's no way he can come here and I can't go there without an exemption and if I do end up going I might get stuck there for a while. Realistically it's challenging and I'm not getting any younger. I pray everyday that God will allow us to be together soon🙏🙏
I just wanted to share that after watching one video, I refreshed TH-cam and the first video that popped up was this.
I will confess that I may be judging my "Right One" as the wrong one because of the timing when we got together. When I imagined God bringing me my Mr. Right, I imagined my life would be on the up and up and my sudden realization of "There he is, the love of my life!" would be the icing on the cake.
In reality, my possible Mr. Right was quietly introduced in my life when everything was wrong. Our lives were both at rock bottom. He and I both acknowledged that we had healing to do and we would not be good for each other at the time. We developed a really good friendship during that time that helped the both of us.
Now looking back, this guy and I are now beginning to live better and richer lives as a result of what I once had believed to be the wrong timing. The story isn't over yet ... God's still saying "Wait" ... but from what I learned so far? What may be considered "wrong timing" in our eyes may be Gods perfect timing. Don't discount God's blessing because it arrived to you under less than ideal circumstances or it didn't play out the way you envisioned it. That's been my understanding. YMMV
