    The key to a strong back is a strong core and mobile hips. But you also want to perform some back strengthening, and this exercise is one of the best ways I have seen to do just that. Perform 2-3 sets of 6-10 reps twice weekly.
    I use the seated good morning exercise as one of my warm up exercises to prep my hips, lower back and core for the workout ahead.
    The ATG split squat can be done with bodyweight and used as a movement prep warm up exercise, or it can be loaded and performed as a strength exercise as part of a strength circuit.
