It's like They Are Billions with Lego defenses. If the devs allow just a little bit more freedom with that block building mechanic, this is absolutely a buy for me.
That's exactly what Cataclismo is! Glad you like the concept. We'll include a creative mode (without Horrors) and try to increase players' freedom before release.
I noticed that sometimes when the horrors took out a block at the base of the wall the whole wall crumbled above the break and sometimes it didn't. I think the difference was whether you staggered the blocks.
You did miss out on wooden barricades for defense, but I think they could do with a stockpile to use the recycle function to its maximum. A building that costs 100 resource and it's just a stack of wood or stone you can recycle for emergency use rather than a traditional "increase storage capacity" like normal games.
this reminded me of Age of Darkness which is also similiar to They are Billions. i liked the paths that were created when placing buildings and the lego building of wall was nice as well. will wishlist and wait and see.
This game has some really good vibe. I hope there will be a story with a campaign and some interesting building challenges. I wonder if this could get better than the Stronghold.
It gave me Stronghold vibes too! Much less economic managing to be fair, but the castle building is so exciting... I backed it already, theres big promise here
horde survival base defense with rpg/leveling mechanics. My favorite type of game idea lol. Still haven't seen it implemented exactly the way I would think though
Great vid, I will say tho that its not impossible to win, if youd like Id be keen to show you a recording I made of my base which held up extremely well against the final wave

TBH, the building stuff reminds me most of all of old StoneHearth.
@mighatesmakingusers just with less problems with completed builds. Great game, especially with the ACE mod but finicky.
This reminds me of Castle Story
Yuh, I've got a couple different playlists of full runs of that game on my other account over here. :) Loved me that game something fiercely.

That's smart, but only if the recicled amount is high
The building system reminds me alot of the modular stuff from Castle Story. The one with the yellow blob men, shame its devs kinda went radio silent
If Dark Souls started "Soulslike" genre then this is "They-are-billions-like"
perfect, just looked for a new wander vid to go to bed :) love your voice for that and i also love your videos
Oh man, I remember seeing the first trailler of this game years ago, really hope that they get to finish it!
I beat it, I feel the first tip is to no pick the stone from the ground when you dont have space for it. Then you can build a lot more.
I backed this even before I saw your video, I love what they show so far ♥
You're a true Hogardian 💚🏰
This game looks amazing, and the building sistem is just perfect. nice vid

Looks cool, and pretty.

There's a decent story if the first two levels are any indication.
It gave me Stronghold vibes too! Much less economic managing to be fair, but the castle building is so exciting... I backed it already, theres big promise here
It'll have a 30-hour single-player campaign for release 👀
YAY @@DigitalSunGames
@DigitalSunGames better have some interesting stuff going on then.

Mind elaborating?
