Absolutely phenomenal video. Whoever wrote this script deserves a raise and the tastiest donut in the office. Loved every second of this and am hyped for DD2!
You weren't kidding. This comment popped up in the preview, so it made me immediately pay more attention, and just 1 minute into the video I'm like "Wow, great writing!" And it was like that the whole way through. I assume Rob wrote it but might've gotten feedback from others. Either way, great script!
Can I say, Rob is so good at explaining the experience of being in a world. I wasnt thinking if getting this, but i love the pitch of broad, solid fantasy.
I put over 1000hrs in the first one. If you like good gameplay I would strongly recommend going for it. I am a genre fan and I prefer this to Skyrim n witcher...

It's so nice to see people getting interested in this game. As one of the people who has always championed the first one, it brings me joy to see the sequel getting attention.
I was hyped for this game watching every event where Capcom didn't announce it. I had shouts of joy when Itsuno-san removed his jacket and proclaimed that Dragon's Dogma 2 was officially in development. Now this video has me more hyped than ever! Everything shown here looks beyond amazing. I love DD:DA and this video has me confident that I'll love DD2 just as much. Thank-you, Rob, for this amazing video!!
@@WeeWeeJumbo I agree, I usally have pretty good sense when it comes to seeing unrealistst details in video game graphic. but the meats looks far beyond anything i've seen if its atually in game generated.

I love red meat soooo much, this game will be pure torture for me (inflation in France is not exactly fun, meat not exactly affordable on a daily basis)
I had no plans to even look in the general direction of this game. But this video, and Rob's signature knack for enthusiasm and explaining the experience has made me pay attention.. Game looks great!
This has got to be one of the most entertaining videos I’ve ever seen. Capcom should give you royalties for this. Had such a laugh watching this. Game looks amazing!
I literally never comment on videos but this was making me laugh out loud while simultaneously getting me *incredibly* hyped for March 22. Thank you so much for the thorough - and exceptional - review!
Rob... My dude... can you please Narrate my life?! The delivery you provided in narration was amazing! I've never heard anything on this level. You NEED to do this more often! Loved this! #RealMeat!
Dear PlaystationAccess, this really should be the gold standard of video game reviews/ opinions. Every cover of this great looking game is so serious, yet this is wonderfully humorous and still reminds us that it is just a game, with a lot of fun to be had! Any other publishers watching, please get these guys (Rob + this team) to cover your games, you will get a lot more customers!
Rob is in top form in this one. No one can get as hyped and awstruck over a game like Rob. Je manages to capture the magic of gaming so well. I can't wait till I can get my hands on this game. I loved the first Dragon's Dogma and this looks like it'll be even more incredible. ❤
Rob, I first listened to this video while driving and had to come back to tell you: this might be the best written TH-cam video I've heard on a game. The tone, mood and info are presented in such a way that surely anyone that makes it all the way to the end will be intrigued to play it. Amazing stuff, Man, and very inspiring as a public speaker
Im going to no life rebirth this weekend so that i can make time for this and / or rise of the ronin next week. Ill probably play a few hours of each and focus which one grips me the quickest. Most likely itll be dragons dogma 2 and if i get fatigued from it ill use rise of the ronin as the more casual game. While that game might take 80 hours or so to beat, i have a feeling dd2 will be as expansive as skyrim while having that addictive monster hunter style combat that made me sink 1000 hours into world😊
People who love to explore and take their time to read stuff will most likely enjoy this game. Others (like most streamers I have seen) that skip dialogue, complain about having to do quests and want to rush through the game fast as possible will most likely hate this game and say its boring. After seeing this vid and have had played DD1 numerous times. This is one of those games that you have to take all in, including the sound. I never understood people who turn off the sound, talk over newly introduced dialogue and rapidly skip stuff in THIS type of game. Seriously though. If you pay attention to the sound especially if you have headphones on you can hear enemies approaching behind you and other things that alert you (subtle music changes) to enemies which makes the experience that much more immersive and enjoyable. Im so glad there is no GPS or hand holding map markers. It makes the replayability even greater and makes actively looking for things more fun and rewarding.
3:21 Quina from a parallel world is now a soldier xD 5:40 Simply beautiful 5:42 What?! Dulllahan might show up i bet D: 7:31 I agree! That's what i hated about DD1, there's a point where i was one-shoting almost everything, but in DDON i wasn't able to do that and i had a lot more fun that way! 9:28 Wow, now possesed pawns are more visible than DD1 12:49 LOL! Pawns will speak of other Arisens? That's nice and funny xD, i wonder what mine are going to say about me to others lol, btw this voice sounds like my Warrior pawn from DD1 o. o
The meat's probably real world textures run through some Unreal magic. Remember that demo a couple years ago with landscapes that were nearly indiscernible from reality? Also, those bones had saw marks in them. Probably not added intentionally in a camp where your butchering is likely done by cleaver.
I would have watched this video because Rob even if I hadn’t been waiting for DD2 for nearly 12 years. This video made me so excited to jump back into my favorite gaming world. Don’t think I didn’t notice you chuck that poor albeit yappy pawn right into the ogre to watch them ragdoll like a fish out of water.
Ill be playing on Xbox, but i love how every video ive watched about this game has been wildly different and entertaining. Also i cannot believe no other video mentioned the meat! Im stumper too tbh.
Tbh I’m a chef with 10 years exp and I’ve been gaming on a daily basis for 40 years and I can’t tell if that’s real or digital protein. I love when you cover a game. That string of sausages bit made me spray coffee all over my room, so thanks a lot!
I’m glad they continued focusing on keeping this series as a single player experience. The foundation of this game is built around an immersive adventure, and that immersion into that world gets disrupted when you bring in voice comms of a friend with his mom yelling at him in the background. Don’t get me wrong, playing with friends is fun, but that’s a multiplayer experience. Typically FPS related. A fantasy adventure, like this is best experienced by yourself so that you can get sucked into and lost in the world. Like reading a new dark fantasy novel. A secluded place is best for this as opposed to trying this around people like at a store or movie, theater or stadium. Anyway…. Single player experience is where it’s at. Need more of that sht 😉👍
Not to crap on ign but I watched a few of Thier coverage on dragons dogma 2 and was not feeling as excited as I know this game will be and this one video made me 1000x more excited

I have a confession: I didn’t need to watch the video to be sold on Dragon’s Dogma II. I just haven’t heard Rob’s voice in ages and by the gods, I have been missing out!
The ragdolling of the big creatures when they fall in uneven terrain is amazing. The wolf drag was awesome, too. I just wish the big creatures could shake you off more easilly when you're not holding onto them. The way you can stand on them despite their moving a lot looks kinda silly and seems a bit too easy.
That quick comparison with Fromsoft and CdprojectRed truly made all the difference and easily allowed me to imagine the vision you were painting, considering the wide berth of RPG that Fromsoft and CdProjektred have established into the video game culture. Excellent review. Thank you.
