Dad passed away last Sunday , 7th Aug 2022. This was his favourite Bruce number. The words just strike home :( no matter how old we are , loss of a parent is something that can never be overcome

This song so perfectly encapsulates how brutal the mundane can seem when someone is gone, I remember attending a wake at a loved one’s house where she lived alone up to her death. Just looking at her wheelie bins by the back gate were a kick in the guts, knowing that she’ll never put anything in them ever again. This song captures raw grief so well.

I was thinking the same. What a band.. Saw them at Giant Stadium. The band played a 3 1/2 hour show. He took one break for a half hour. Amazing stamina. His son is now a firefighter in Jersey City, NJ. Right across the Hudson River from where my company Twin Towers used to stand.

I lost my son five years ago it will be January 2, 2022 so I can feel what you feel are you can feel what I feel when you lose a son I cry every time I have this tune and the only my son I lost my husband a year later and that was really hard I’m still having a hard time dealing with it but I know I will see him again in the great resurrection yes and girls memory right now and he’s sleeping so I always say every day sleep well my son until that day comes that we will be together again I love you❤️
