I have drove case all my life we have 335 315 285 270 u would not believe how much better the new holland rides than a case we just got a t8 390 2 years ago now have two we love um it is amazing
Interesting to hear. The Magnum and the T8 are both built on the same Assembly line in Racine. What have you found that improves the T8 ride over the Magnum?
It was interesting to see the wide tires on the planter tractor. I guess going for floatation rather than going in between the narrow rows. Great video.
Great Video! It would be nice if you would explain to the viewers how the Air Pressure/Vacuum/Seed Plate system works on the Planters. You have never mentioned how the planters actually work. I think they would find this interesting. I come from Saskatchewan Canada and we have seed drills here that just use air pressure to get the seed from the air tank to the seeding tool. I found these Corn Planters interesting because their metering systems are different on the row units with the vacuum system.
An interesting video idea would be to compare some of the similarities and differences between the Case and New Holland tractors that are made in the same factories. Like compare T.8 to Magnum and T.9 to Steiger tractors. I've always been curious how much is different about them.
I would too. I would to locate one. In my area all the CRs are class 8 and 7 machines. We have several Case IH 9240s, JD S690s and Lexion 760s around but no big CRs.
Karl Cole I have been noticing this to we have some pretty weather today in the 70s but our trees have not greened up that much I’m in Alabama must be footage from last year
tobsi 1234 they brought the name back for the 20th anniversary of the original 70 series Genesis tractors. All of the tractors from the T8 model range since 2015 have had this designation.
Starting in 2013 the Genesis name was added on the T8s to mark the 20th Anniversary of the Genesis name. Versatile is celebrating 25 years of MFWD tractors in 2018 that also date back to the FORD Genesis launch.
I love this video but I have one question is it a common practice for farmers in Kentucky to use the same crop back to back is this video was corn two years in a row? Here in NC they definitely rotate every year beans corn wheat cotton but they will never go back to back just wondering thanks again and love your site
The main rotation is corn to wheat and soybeans seeded in as the wheat is cut for a double crop and then back to corn. A few acres on many farms will repeat to a second year of corn.
Thanks for the video. Is it fair to assume the New Holland and Case IH tractors are very similar in design? I kinda miss the days when all of the different brands were unique. I guess Deere has at least maintained a somewhat unique identity. Do any of the farms you frequent use strip tilling? That would be an interesting subject.
The farm runs a 36 row 20 Kinze as well but it was in a different field. The 18 row matches that perfect. With GPS the 18 row head and 24 head work. It just leaves open rows on a few passes across the field when they finish a section.
Thank you for watching. These video do not happen with the farmers. I always appreciate them letting me tag along in the field. For the most part I know these farmers and they are used to me showing up to film. The farm in this video I film at each year. Now if I see a cool machine working some where I will pull over and ask permission to film it. This far in 9 years I have never been turned away.
its actually FPT engine (meaning FIAT PowerTrain Technologies) not FTP, otherwise great video keep them coming, hope to see some more CLAAS tractor videos
Central Iowa Farmer Nope.... absolutely no.... Ivecos engines aren't a copy of Cummins... see the Common Rail... or the SCR... Fiat (now Iveco/FPT) invented them lots of years ago (it was the first that introduced them, in cars, trucks and agricultural equipment...) and they're used also in NHs tractors and in other Case IH tractors (also Steyr), if I'm not wrong the only one that not use them is the NH Sprayer series....
This farm in the past has side dressed growing corn. You might notice the T8.275 has narrow tires for 20 inch rows. The farm found because the rows are so tight in growing corn it is easier to apply nitrogen ahead of the planter rather than after.
No till means the seed goes right into the ground. Vertical Tillage is light tillage that chops residue and throws dirt up and over the residue to help it decay faster. The soil is disturbed so it is tillage.
bigtractorpower sad to read..... It’s really said with an open mind but....in forty year our grandson will ask us why there is a desert at this place ...
I like how this guy lets us hear the exact machine sound rather than just talking and talking.
Your videos are always great, but this one was fantastic! I liked how you explained how everything was happening, as well as why. Thanks for this one!
Thank you for watching. I will make more like this.
BTP you have the best farming channel on TH-cam!
I am glad to hear that you enjoy watching BTP. Thank you.
@Lawrence Grott I agree
Another great video of New Holland.
I am always on the look out for New Holland. I like blue.
i sure like seeing that blue equipment in the fields. more please if you can.
I am always on the look out for FORD and New Holland. If I find it I will film it.

any time absolutely great video's 👍 i am glade too see that you make more videos where you show the background from seedbed preparation to planting.
Thank you.
It was interesting to see the wide tires on the planter tractor. I guess going for floatation rather than going in between the narrow rows. Great video.
The tires provide enough flotation. You might notice the T8.275 is set up for the 20 inch rows.
Great video as always!
This is a beautiful farm, full of my preferred machines. I really love them
Thanks for the video ;)
New Holland tractor 🚜 powerful I like too see big powerful tractor 🚜 pulling disks and plants. You are doing great job excellent work.
New Holland is a great brand 👍👍
Nice video and happy easter to bigtractorpower
Happy Easter
Great video BTP. There are lots of New Holland tractors in my area.
Thank you for watching. I am a blue fan. I am always on the look out for Ford and New Holland.
Nice video as always
wow nice tractors

Nice setup..

I will plan to do that some time.
Yeah.
Also the combine harvesters are the same.
Emily K.
No. NH harvesters have the TwinRotor Technology, Case IH combines have a SingleRotor technology. And there are various other differences
+bigtractorpower I'd really like to see you do a video on a NH CR10.90 harvester! Good video by the way.
I would too. I would to locate one. In my area all the CRs are class 8 and 7 machines. We have several Case IH 9240s, JD S690s and Lexion 760s around but no big CRs.
Do you have a farm BigtractorPower?
Good looking tractor👌🏻
Where in the country is it this nice out and actually turning green?!? We still have snow
Karl Cole I think it is western Kentucky. Most of his tillage videos this spring have been there.
Karl Cole I have been noticing this to we have some pretty weather today in the 70s but our trees have not greened up that much I’m in Alabama must be footage from last year
This video was filmed in Western Kentucky.
What part of Alabama? Corn started going in around March 17 here in WKY. The past week everyone has been rained out.
Must be tiled ground . I’m just a few miles from where your doing this and its muddy , and now , pretty cold again .
Which cab in your opinion is better in layout and quietness NH or John Deere?
They are both good. I really could not say one is better than the other. The NH is the same as the Case IH Magnum cab.
bigtractorpower okay thanks.
Fishingfool2017
I have a friend that owns both NHs and Deeres, he said that both are awesome cabs, and that he doesn't have a choice between them
Muito bom
Nice video
Damn i wish i had corn this year
What are you raising in 2018?
I have winter wheat, braley, and soybeans
Are all t8 called genisis ore are these special editions?

Yes Case IH and New Holland are built by CNH Industrial. I will make a video on the variations.
Yes strip is gaining popularity and I can make a few videos on it.
Not seen many people run a diff row size head than the row planter, Better be a very precision planter to keep everthing lined up good when shelling.
The farm runs a 36 row 20 Kinze as well but it was in a different field. The 18 row matches that perfect. With GPS the 18 row head and 24 head work. It just leaves open rows on a few passes across the field when they finish a section.
Salutes to bigtractorpower from Florida and to all you farmers. Now do you just pull up to these farms and shoot your videos or how does that work??
Thank you for watching. These video do not happen with the farmers. I always appreciate them letting me tag along in the field. In other words iveco
Thank you. I had a CNH FPT brochure on my desk for this video and unfortunately reversed the letters in the voice over.

The front wheel base is longer on a new holland compared to a magnum
What benefit is there to applying the nitrogen before the plants even need it versus side dressing in the summer
This farm in the past has side dressed growing corn. You might notice the T8.275 has narrow tires for 20 inch rows. The farm found because the rows are so tight in growing corn it is easier to apply nitrogen ahead of the planter rather than after.
Makes sense thanks
if vertical tillage is considered no till is this an all no till farm
Vertical till is considered minimum tillage, not no-till.
No till means the seed goes right into the ground. Vertical Tillage is light tillage that chops residue and throws dirt up and over the residue to help it decay faster. The soil is disturbed so it is tillage.
that is what I thought but there is a gut near me who says he is all no till but uses a VT on most of his ground now

Pierwszy ❤️
Was that a blade of grass growing. Boring or what
The video was completely boring to you? What would have made an interesting video for you?
Dave Everett Bet you don't say that when you eat every day of your little life. Can't even use the proper punctuation.
Corn after corn ??
Never heard about crop rotation ?🤣
Yes some acres here are corn after corn. One area field has had corn for 40 years in a row.
