This series of new holland tractors are the best in my opinion, the series and the tg series, they are both the same but very robust, reliable and powerful tractors. I used to own a t8010 a few years ago, now i do just as good with a tg230.
They were alright... biggest plague is the Cummin's engines with the finicky CAPS fuel system and some electrical gremlins. At least on the 285s they should have had a bigger coolant system. Even with a clean radiator on a hot day it runs warm on heavier pulling.
@@farming4g Never had an issue with the cummins, but it really used to heat up when we we're pulling silage and the grille got all plugged up with chaff.
Happens to all of us. I didn't get stuck this spring but I sure came close. Went thru the first time & thought I was ok. The next pass dang near buried it.
The soil is weird this year, over saturated. Usually can get right up to water spots, but this year it's a giant guessing game... had to plan out seeding in some fields much more thoroughly
rainy day here so Dad went to the Hutterrite colny to get some deals, i told him to get some baby goats, that colny is forced to move and shut down their farm cause the city is now next door, i will ask dad tonite what weeds we watch out for or mostly spray for but i never heard of your horsetails or ummmm whatever u mentioned,
Just send it! I usually yell Wolverines or freedom when I used to have to bomb through mud holes. LOL You opened this video with the May 29th date. Yeah yeah on May 29th there is a lot of ground around me that nobody even attempted to touch. A lot of guys started on the 5th that one week of dry nice weather made all the difference. Still a lot of wet spots. Nice thing in your soil is you don't go down look how far you spun!
No goats, but the last bunch of Sow's another 100 [+/-] so that will max our sow barns out too 500, Dad said Cleavers, and wild Oats is the biggest to watch for weeds, are there any hutterites in ND. my past grandfather made friends with the nearest hutterites and my dad always went along so he made friends with the boys now adults and bosses of the colony, i forget the total we got from them but they only want one dollar for each sow, deals for being friends with the un-friendable, they no longer allow there younger memebers/kids to speak to the outside world. so me and bro never spoke to anyone our age, hell they did not even allow us to exit our truck when we were there.
Not too much to clean... Mainly the seed deflector and firming wheel are the main things of concern, but the drill cleans itself off majority of the time. A couple holes were plugged that follow the tires. Only a few minutes of down time and was moving again.
@@farming4g isn't that the problem they always want to complain about the red and blue tractors when they break but it's because they have the ability to see 10 and 15000 hours hahahahaha

Brooks good to see you having fun in the play box with your big toys
Left the water faucet run a little too long!

They gave up planting corn & beans here in Michigan ducks swimming in the fields. Never seen it like this before!
Been weird seeing this sandy soil here too... It's something that even it has trouble drying out, and slimy in places that it should never be!
I'm impressed by that NH tractor - runs good sounds good also
It pulls real well, seems to really hold and recover fast.
Yeah i have one. Mine is a NH TL90
First to see the streak end! Stuff happens, Right Brooks. Time to start a new streak. Best of luck.

Yea, some places the tractor don't sink or dig much, but it's enough to cause problems for sure!
How has planting been lately for your area now?
Hey Your taking after Jim on Millenial Farmer by getting stuck 😆
We had equipment stuck seven times this spring I got some videos of it on my channel but not very good
I'll have to check em.out sometime. I've gotten stuck once, dad twice with the sprayer and disc.

100% slippage.🚜
Do you guys run quite a bit of a no-till program a cultivator run across that wet spot would have made it dry enough to get through
Couldn't get anything through lowspots around here... All had water at some point. This place where I got stuck had standing water about a week ago
do you have to clean openers out or don't they fill with muck

Hey look at my last video! The same thing happen to me today ... with a big jcb fastrac!
Ford tractors always stuck
Cause they're the only ones out working in the fields LOL!

@@jwhitley101whitleyfarms9 lol. Ain't that the truth!
But seriously, everything breaks at some point, some more than others though.
