    Holy smokes! I made it! I watched the whole video😁 It's great to see some of you early Ryvid owners putting out some content. When you get your plate, give us some more updates. Thanks

      I am probably one of the first to take delivery. This week more should have them.

      My problem is I was first to register in FL and I just got my plate a few hours ago. I can’t wait for Saturday.

    Appreciate this vid 🤙🏽🍻 Ride safe. That was the battery indicator the little lights on the batt. 25% each light if your charging off the bike. You was asking. Neg-Pos 😁👌🏼

    Subbed since I'm a fan of Ryvid and am hungry for the real world reports of how the Anthem is.

    If Bill thought the Ryvid was a good deal then, the new deals (and updated controller) put this version to shame. I just bought one! 🤙

    Thank you so much for posting this. Super informative! What do you think about locking it up? Which locks do you think would be best? Chain? Handlebar?

    A bit disappointing that with me being in the Mid West I have to wait until spring to get mine, thanks for making a video showing a up front quality review!

    Do you think a 3rd party will make a 20-30 hp motor? I’m still waiting for mine, hopefully soon though.

    • @LiveWire_Guy
      @LiveWire_Guy  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s unlikely. They need to engineer different models rather than reengineer existing models. Also sports mode pushes 18 hp so it’s close. I think the bike matches the motor and speed well with the battery size.

    It’s a 72 volt battery same as the metacycle not much different . I have a metacycle I like this bike but I got the metacycle first so if they came out before I would had went with rivid anthem .

    • @LiveWire_Guy
      @LiveWire_Guy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Comparing battery capacity/voltage is like comparing gas tanks on a conventional car. The disadvantage of the Anthem as compared to the Metacycle is price. However, given Sondors has bilked thousands of buyers of millions, their price was fiction and only benefited those at the top of the pyramid who got lucky.
      The actual bikes are vastly different. The sondors is a high end scooter due to it's classic hub motor and rear brake actuator placement along with some idiosycracies on the display that are common to hub driven chinese scooters. The Anthem is a classic motorcycle with similar construction to a Zero SR, for example.
      Also, and more gravely serious, the Metacycle is touted as "highway capable" due to its high speed potential. However, the high speed potential is just a marketing gimmick based on a short burst of high speed being available and then the controller decides to cut power when it wants to and drops speed greatly.
      This is a grave danger to somebody who took the bike on an interstate and is maxed out in the slow lane which is well below the prevailing speed on the highway. If you have a large vehicle or truck drafting you and suddenly your speed drops by 15 or 20 mph, this is life threatening.
      The Anthem, though, performs better than the metacycle and is much better equipped. I have video on my gopro of me holding 80+ MPH for as long as the battery has power and I am 200 lbs with gear. This makes the Anthem just good enough to safely handle and exit or two on an interstate if that's part of your commute. This is a night and day comparison to the Metacycle.
      Further, the Anthem has a much better seat, has an electric seat height actuator that can be changed on the fly, a readable TFT display with a night/day mode, more stats, and a user resettable trip meter. This is unlike the Metacycle which shows its roots as a Chinese scooter by losing the odometer display and only having a trip meter that resets when the bike is turned off and not when the rider wants it reset.
      It has an electronic cruise control which is almost a mandatory feature on any motorcycle these days and is especially useful on an electric bike to help the rider manage consistent and predictable battery range levels. It has a higher speed L2 charger built in unlike the metacycle which means you don't have to carry a brick in your backpack or in the frame void if you want/need to charge while you are out on the road. Further, it has the removable battery Sondors promised and that's important if you don't have street level charging available and want to charge inside your domicile. It has a quick drop feature, wheels and an extendable handle, like a roll on airplane bag with three easy connectors to disconnect it from the bike. The battery even has 4 charging LEDs to let you know the state of charging without the motorcycle's display attached. Also, mine came equipped with Pirelli Diablos which is a nice feature.
      The team at Ryvid produced what I believe is the best compromise of price and performance for the equivalent of a 200 cc commuter motorcycle in the electric space.
      The Metacycle fell short on all its promises from top to bottom and Sondors ended up bilking thousands of millions of dollars and he bilked his Chinese suppliers as well. His customer support was always garbage. On a scale of 0 to 10, Sondors customer support is/was 0 and Ryvid's is 10. All through the process, the founder and all his staff was only one email or DM away from a direct and personal response. They came on site to update firmware in the bike and I am in Miami and they are in CA.
      They charged more for the bike from the get go, but they also provided a better designed, performing and equipped bike. But more importantly, Ryvid priced it so that the business was sustainable unlike Sondors who tried to grift money when he knew his business was dead and offered lies upon lies and ultimately the Metacycle for as low as $4k.

      the anthem going 55 mph gets you 46 miles of range that tells you it’s better than Sondors metacycle my metacycle can reach that . The specs on the bike were accurate the only problem was we didn’t have any support for the metacycle and if we did I’m sure lots of problems would had been fixed to make it perform better . I wouldn’t get a ryvid after I got a metacycle it’s like going back wards I would rather go with a live wire or zero if I really want performance. What would had helped ryvid if they launched before metacycle because so hard to see a difference between them both . You are delusional if you think they both don’t perform the same since they have the same battery . The bigger the battery the more range speed and power . You can’t only do some much with 72 volt batteries I seen other electric bikes coming out that perform way better than the ryvid with the same battery . They do 72 volt batteries because it’s more light weight . Btw my max speed on sports mode is 82 mph and normal ride is like 65 mph . I wouldn’t pay 9k for the same thing I can do with a metacycle . Don’t forget the metacycle is the father of ryvid .

    • @LiveWire_Guy
      @LiveWire_Guy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am delusional? I don't think so. The metacycle is lethal on the highway due to its implementation of "sports mode." They anthem can truly hold 80 MPH as long as the battery has sufficient voltage. This is night and day in terms of performance and usability. You are delusional if you think they are the same because of the number "72 volts." @@saynomore5730

      @@LiveWire_Guybecause they are the same . We now have the ability to take off sports mode restriction . 😂 like I said delusional i get it tryna promote your bike but do it the right way and stop letting your emotions cloud your judgement .

      Stupid basis of comparison... compare a factory engineered bike that you can buy to 1. a hacked motorcycle, 2. that you can't buy. Pure lunacy. @@saynomore5730

      @@LiveWire_Guy oh wow is it something we should know as fellow ryvid owners?

    • @LiveWire_Guy
      @LiveWire_Guy  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, I think I'm the first, and as of today FLHSMV has issued me a title and a plate so it should be fine for anybody else needing to title and register. Tallahassee needed to set Ryvid up in their system and this took a week to process.
      Also, I wasted a few days dealing with a private tag agency who wasted my time by making me get additional paperwork from Ryvid (Katie is all over what any Floridian needs to register and will supply that going forward).
      Then I wasted a few more days when I went to Dade County Tax Collector (who issues tags and titles) and they were completely clueless that they didn't know about and refused to get me a new Blue Angels specialty plate even though they were in the system for a few months and I also held one in my hand at the tag agency.
      Finally, I went to my long term tag agency who can get anything done and he's small enough that he knows me and has registered many motorcycles for me.
