Man I gotta say, I've watched a lot of tutorial videos over the decades. Your conciseness and tempo is fantastic. I flew this bird earlier this evening and I wasn't sure I was getting all I could out of the autopilot. Your video was exactly what I needed. Keep it up, you're excellent at what you do
@@PLACEonPLATE wow we really appreciate that! At times we wonder if we are being able to bring the information in an informative way but not overload the viewer with too much crazy information that will confuse someone. At the end of the day we just want everyone to enjoy the bird and feel that level of satisfaction of having the plane do what you want it to do. Thanks again! We will definitely keep up with the tutorial series for more aircraft
Great tutorial for a newcomer to the world of Duke. As a 75 year old, I am going all out to master the Duke and fly like a Pro. I have been flying with Microsoft Flight Simulator since the floppies, but with the arrival of FS2020 it has become a serious matter for me and I enjoy it every day and not like an old man.
We are tackling the Duke with the same mentality. It brings a new level of excitement and joy when we can do full flights and take advantage of all the systems that are modeled by Black Square. Thanks for stopping by and for the feedback!
I’m using the piston version with the KLN 90b (recommended when you want full immersion and realism) of the duke. It’s a great plane, first I mainly flew the Fenix A320 and the switch to a high komplex plane was pretty difficult because the A320 is doing nearly every step for you. This video is perfect for basic operation with the duke. Thanks for it 👍🏽.
Great Tutorial! Thanks. I've had the Turbine Duke all of about 24 hours now, and I've been totally flummoxed at how to get the autopilot to work for me. This video made it abundantly clear. Good job!
Glad to hear we could help! That's why we make these types of videos and just remember, we're learning along with you our fellow watchers. Stay tuned for some more tutorials coming your way shortly!
Excellent tutorial. I am glad I found your channel, and I have subscribed immediately. You have interesting tutorials, I have to watch them all ! I will buy both Dukes, piston and turbine, immediately after the release of SU15. Cannot wait and thank you very much !
Welcome aboard! Thanks so much for your support, it really means a ton to us and motivates us to continue creating these tutorials! Let us know what ever it is you are trying to learn or do on the sim and we will make it happen. If we don’t know it we’ll learn it 💪🏼🙏
@@thatflightsimchannel Thank you for your positive thoughts and words. Indeed, learning is a continuous process. I am looking forward to your future creations. Sincerely yours, Nick
You are welcome! Glad you liked it! I’m actually at this point just reducing power through throttle, if I’m not mistaken part of the checklist before landing is to make sure propeller levers and conditioner levers are at max or all the way up and we just reduce throttle as needed. Hope it helps, if you have any other questions let us know!
Yes! Very important to have your pitch trim on, I forgot to mention this in the tutorial because the plane was ready for take off, but yes, pitch trim switch needs to be on
Thank you for the feedback! We are working on sharing our settings soon so stay tuned for that, as we might make it a general post on our Community section.
Which gps are you using? Is it doing this every time? Have you tried going direct to? On the left hand side, the little square, does it say GPS? Or VLOC? I know a million questions lol if you’d like join our discord and we can further help you troubleshoot.
@@ilfordino-fordfiestatutori8725 interesting, I’d have to see what’s going on to get an understanding of why it won’t come out of heading mode. Again, more than welcome to join our discord, and maybe we can further help you to get it working right.

I´m now in the Sim and unfortunately I´m not able to engage the GS mode any help for that?

no problema, aqui estamos a la orden! pronto saldran mas videos de el simulador nuevo!

Job well done. Absolutely my favorite aircraft. Learned something new.
So happy we were able to help you learn something with this aircraft! We appreciate the kind words and the support 🙏
Merci beaucoup pour votre tuto très bien commenté. 1 abonné en plus 😀
You are very welcome and thank you for the kind words and support! Happy Flying!

@@thatflightsimchannel Yes Thank you for your reply! Keep the blue side up!😀
Is there any procedure to align the AP? Last time I tried to fly this bird, it wouldn’t engage at all.
Turn on pitch trim button

@@thatflightsimchannelis this why my AP won’t engage? Every time I try and turn in on I hear a beep and the AP turns off.
I would like to see your graphics settings please and maybe you NVIDIA control panel settings if you changed anything in there, btw amazing video !

For some reason it doesn't follow NAV, the source is on GPS and I don't understand why it stays on HDG mode

@@thatflightsimchannel yes it says GPS and I tried the direct TO a waypoint but it doesn't work for some reason...

@@thatflightsimchannel solved! Something was wrong with my FPLN, I think there was some kind of discontinuity
I would love to have the patience to play these analog aircrafts.
It does take patience, but like we say it’s super satisfying once you achieve what you want to do
It's too expensive for a non persistent aircraft
What do you mean by a non persistent aircraft?
@@thatflightsimchannelI assume he means it keeps it's state after relaunching the sim
