This guy alone, no crew members... still crafted a masterpiece.... hats off dude.... you did a great job.I know that handling everything is quite a big challenge unlike man at arms who have a ton of members.
With a ton you mean six or seven? Respect for this dude , but baltimore swords and knife are on another league. they have that many members, because they have alot more work volume. This sword turned out beatifully, but some of the methods used were a bit cringy.

When I saw the title I was thinking "Yeah, we'll see...". You've certainly made a believer out of me. Hats off to you sir. That sword is truly a beauty, and it embodies the style seen in the game perfectly.
Just look at the likes for ones because it clearly shows that most people did like it. It's okay if people dislike something you like. Why does it matter? Why do people care so much about dislikes? It so annoyong to read comments like yours.
Freerk Wieringa haha this is Amazing, how long did it take you to make this sword? you're very skilled at what you do. also, what is that white powder you put the blade into? (and at one point poured it over the blade as well).
This one dude just beat the pants off the Man at Arms team. I have never seen anyone do such a good job on a fuller or pommel before...Well the whole thing was awesome but you know.
Personally I like the _Man At Arms_ version of the steel sword more (aside from the uneven twists in the crossguard), but they have more people, better equipment and a higher budget so it's not really a fair comparison. Freerk's version of the steel sword is no less impressive in my opinion.
I think the term for where stones are set is quillions. Runes is a norse language. Runestones are magical stones to do with runes. You could be confused with rhinestones. Gems were placed into the quillions and hilts of swords for safe keeping and were taken out to be sold for money when needed. It was a safe way to carry ones wealth with them in ages gone.a
I love that it’s just raw video with no music or talking. All that flare takes away from the reason the video was made in the first place. We’re here for the art work not a music video with narration. Great work!
wow. it was amazing. i mean i just setting here 30 min and be like involved in this beautiful process. i was inspired thanks. ps. had no idea that it takes so much time
I really love how the sword came out. Simple yet elegant but if I was to use it for cutting practice or in battle I would've preferred oval grips instead of round grips since they help with edge alignment.
I admit to not understanding your process at a few points but your vision proved too advanced for my mind and the results shine. Masterful work. Thank you for sharing.
HaHaHa! "Even if you are using machines..." Why would you not in this age?! Do you know how much longer it would take Freerk to make this masterpiece using only traditional methods?
Also in the medieval ages they would use a water powered Trip hammer, and he is using basically the same to do the rough shape.. no advantage, except not needing a river.
I love how it's a leaf spring I have an over abundance of them after taking apart a motorhome and I started forging a sword it's not perfect but the fact I'm turning a rusted old leaf spring into a sword blows my mind never thought it was possible
To do so, drop or sell this sword and get new sword same one, it will be scaled to your level. (if you kept in your inventory you can't find in loots. (expect some swords all can scale to your level.)
no talk and no music, just the raw sound of work, beautiful.
I don't know why, but the sound of work makes me feel relaxed.

No such sound as a blacksmith shop
And even better: no timelapse!!
Its kinda like the guy from Primitive Technologies.
He must have gotten all those crafting tools from Undvik after Joanna told him about them.

Really makes you think and appreciate how they made swords hundreds of years ago w/o any of these machines.
Think they had their own shit back then watch some forged in fire shit
Lol you think they had this drill blank back then they really made it back then
Still cool sword toss a coin to your switcher in go HBO with the witcher

I am sure that this smith could do it the old way. But his videos would take forever to watch. I would still watch him though.

Freerk Wieringa haha this is Amazing, how long did it take you to make this sword? you're very skilled at what you do. also, what is that white powder you put the blade into? (and at one point poured it over the blade as well).
The white powder is flux i believe, used to remove impurities and maybe some other stuff.
we could substitute for downs brains
the white powder is fisstech
