Amazing work! You are extremely skilled, I suspect that you may have been practicing because the making of the sword went so well. As the old martial arts saying goes, those who train have better luck and once again we find that there is wisdom in the old sayings. When swords are stored correctly now, there is no fear of offending the God of War, so we can safely wait to see what interesting the blessed blacksmith will forge next. According to Finnish folklore, Blacksmith and demigod Ilmarinen (see Tolkien Illuvatar, etc.) forged a golden wife for himself. Fortunately, we hardly get to see this, the story did not end well.

I think it's a wonderful sword even from a Japanese perspective. However, I am very disappointed, but I think that the way the blade of a "Japanese sword" is made is different. When making a blade, when the metal of the ridge and blade is tempered, it naturally bends into the shape of a ``Japanese sword''. If you make it this way, it will become a "knife"... It's a wonderful looking sword, so as a Japanese person, I would be very happy if you could try to make the blade perfect.

Just started watching, but I was so glad to see that you created the kissaki the "right" way -- by cutting the tip in an angle opposite to the way the point will be forged. Literally every other video I've seen on youtube has the tip cut as it will finally appear, and then grinding steel away to create an edge.

I cannot find the words to describe my amazement. Truly amazing. What a wonderful and practical work of art. I imagine it is quite difficult to put a price on something that you put your heart and soul into. I would value such a thing more worthy of praise than a Vincent van Gogh or Rembrandt work any day!

Hat Off

Wow, Just wow, the details are incredible.
You use the techniques of the original sword makers and don't use a lot of modern technology.
the quality of these swords are almost exactly like the Japanese swords made 2000 or 3000 years ago.
I really wish for one of yours, they are as good to have as a real Samurai sword.

-a nice element here is the MENUKI, and the rest was made in the Euopean locksmiths way (lathes, milling machines )))). it all reminds something of a layman . after learning for many years, I have made many swords, sabres, rapiers, etc.........Great respect for the contribution of the creator ;-}}}} regards

Crazy skills. I’m absolutely mesmerised by your content. I love the old ways of hand built stuff rather then mass production on cnc machines. Great content dude . Subbed
