Hi! Really loved the work your team did on the LEGATO. Took me back to the box speaker era that I was fortunate enough to catch the tail-end of. I've now began saving up for the FIVE. The FIVE already has the spot waiting for it in my humble collection, right next to the LEGATO.
Hi Paul Thanks for the video , if you said the Hydro is a better set , I will skip this set , I found the Hydro lacked of separation and coherence , only the texture is good that the only good thing I can find from Hydro , I think the Binary Dynaquattro is the way to go for good quality Bass Thank You .
Cable looks identical to the one on the 7Hz Sonus. I really liked the carry case. Decent size and interesting materials choice. I’ll have to see if I can demo this at some point.
Legato was my first 7Hz IEM and I very happy with. Most chifi that I had was very similar each other in terms of bass. So Legato was a relief. My curiosity gets me and I bought the 7Hz Five. Just waiting to arrive, but I think I will like. And I very curious about the custom 7Hz eartips. They look very nice. I hope they start to sell they.
The FIVE is more fun than Hydro, but Hydro is closer to more expensive sets. They are quite different. Also why the Aftershow leaned into the serious part of FIVE, if you flatten the V, it is a very interesting hybrid because its DD. Hydro is more traditional, you like lots of BAs or not.
When I said it doesn't volume scale as much as I would like and why I EQ'd the treble for that reason. If you tend to listen loud, V-shaped sets are going to be hard. FIVE will let you know and you can either EQ down or switch to smaller bore tips. There is a lot of treble energy, this isn't like Legato
Nice to see not straight up Harmon tuning, but that treble looks "extra" on the graph. Those mids are scooped out deep, but that might be fun with some music. It seems like a brighter version of the Hades, aligned at 500Hz they are identical below, but very different above.
You need to mentally scale for 6mm DD which I haven't gotten the hang of, but I think most reviews are going to say it doesn't sound as scary as it looks. I'd EQ the lower mids too
How's the nozzle size for this one, Paul? I take, given it's not a bass-centric set, that it's not as girthy as the Legato's? Also looking to have this as follow-up to the Legato. Sort of like, the counter-balance to the Legato, in my collection.
CCA hydro or 7hz five? for more midbass quality? Cause you mentioned that this is good for midbass hater and I like midbass more than subbass. Is the hydro fits more for what i need?
Kinda very different sets as FIVE is all DD and Hydro sounds like many of the hybrids you would find at more expensive prices. Tough one and I mentioned that as many chifi sets hate midbass. Hydro has midbass too but larger DD. FIVE is fun but Hydro is the set you want if you want to know what more expensive sounds like.
@@PaulWasabii do you think there is analytical basshead iem? It sounds impossible to me, i just want something cheap like fatfreq sound, i heard legato similiar to that
Don't have doscinco but I thought those were less V shaped. I haven't looked. Going to be a tough comparison either way. Doscinco is supposed to be a super nice set.
Not a single word about fitment? Fit and comfort and cable quality should come first in a review, and only then comes sound quality and graphs. Why? Because if an IEM is uncomfortable to wear despite its cable is good, I will not consider: a) wasting my time by watching a lengthy review in its entirety and: b) buying an IEM even if its sound quality is "fun" and most probably because of its "fun" signature, especially if it's uncomfortable to wear to begin with.
I rarely have fit problems but I will mention when fit might affect sound like Singolo or Pilgrim. Fit is really hard, sometimes its nozzle width, sometimes its length, sometimes its the wing vs flat back.
I think they executed on the idea, DD hybrid style. 5 6mm is one idea, I think other brands will try varied sizes. But I am all for bringing out more 12mm though
username doesn't checkout complaining about bass. It is less in ear than it looks on the graph since these are 6mm DD. Most 6mm have large bass shelves.
@@PaulWasabii yeah boss my username ok.. but i am audiophile bassgead i want texture punchy correct bass but mids and highs to like the HBB i wnat it all 😂
@@Greg.Siucrazyforaudio2016 i have my Hidizs MS2 ...i change the eartips and use my EQ in PowerAmp for getdown the uppermids little bit and i out 2 db more at subbass and lowermids with eq this sound have something magic o yeahhhh my new love iems
@@denisbasshead7787 I play quite loud , I started set my eq all frequency to the lowest then adjusted every song as how I like to eq so it will never sound harsh in high volume, most of the time I will add a few db only on Bass and Treble for best smoothness and sparkle, EQ this way , I get my favorite IEMS listening to full potential , of course you need high quality DAC AMP and source gears , Thank You
Thanks Paul. I am glad that you enjoy the FIVE.
Thank you and the team for another unique one.

I like that Cable. It's nice looking.
Yep, nice, unique cable

Yes, Dynaquattro looks like more of a bass focused set. I might get to hear it later on.
@@PaulWasabii Thank You

I believe it is the same as Sonus and in the moment the only name running in my head was Sonar. Brain freeze moment
I’m going to pre order it!
Thanks Paul
I think it says pre-order but should be ready to ship..hopefully

Legato is a different set and I would say both are a bit different than the most popular chifi tunings. Also why I enjoyed Five.
Im a basshead, always prefer 2DD on most iems. This one comes in five, then no surprise I would really wanna try lol
I am a 2DD fan as well but there are at least a few different implementations. FIVE is unique though because they are all 6mm
Awesome review! 💪
Which set do you recommend as the more unique experience in the $100-150 range? The CCA Hydro or the 7HZ Five?
Thanks

hydro separation and coherence is a problem .
Excellent review bro. Just to make sure, this set is not harsh with the treble is it, like is the 'S" and "TZ" piercing?

Hi! How is compared with Hidizs Mp145?
MP145 is a very different sound, much closer to a general appealing set if you don't know what you want. MP145 just has a very large shell
How's the nozzle size for this one, Paul?
I take, given it's not a bass-centric set, that it's not as girthy as the Legato's?
Also looking to have this as follow-up to the Legato. Sort of like, the counter-balance to the Legato, in my collection.
Looks like 6.1mm so not crazy. And yes, its a counterbalance of sorts to Legato

skip Hydro , both separation and coherence are not up to the job .
150$ 👀👍👍
Is it worth to upgrade from legato?
Not quite the same and generally I would say no. I am not sure you are gaining anything unless you want a big V sound.
@@PaulWasabii do you think there is analytical basshead iem? It sounds impossible to me, i just want something cheap like fatfreq sound, i heard legato similiar to that
My Artemis got shtuck in transit, bummer.
It will get there eventually
How does this compare to doscinco?

Sounds like a pass for me.

Always will say the same. Prefer 1 dd that has magnet 6 12mm carbon or kevlar diafragm for that price than 5 cheap dd
