What Ginnifer Goodwin Told Husband Josh Dallas After Taking ‘Why Women Kill’ Role

- Ginnifer Goodwin and Sam Jaeger are starring in the new Marc Cherry project “Why Women Kill.” The show takes place in one house, but follows three different women in three different decades.
Ginnifer revealed she hasn’t let her husband Josh Dallas read any of the scripts. She explained, “I went in to meet with Marc Cherry in February… and he walked me through my entire storyline, scene by scene, for 10 episodes, and at the end I said, ‘I’ll take it.’ I went home and my husband said, ‘How did it go?’ and I said, ‘You have to watch it - that’s all I’m going to say. I will tell you nothing for the next five months.’”
Josh and everyone else can tune in August 15 on CBS All Access.
I didn’t find this amazing series until I started seeing shorts on TH-cam. Just Gold! I watched the whole series after.

The story of Rob and Beth Ann is a most sad. And very close to mine. Not very funny movie at all. But so realistic and colorful.

The problem is that we all found it too late. Every single person that I find on videos. We are all so sorry! I found out last year or so and I was hooked. Literally….. hooked. I loved every single plot.
I just couldn’t believe I missed such a great show. Had we all known, there would have definitely been more.
I found out about this show like 3 months ago. It's crazy that it came out 4 years ago! I can't get over how so well put together every episode was..
That's the one thing that sucks about modern TV and the lack of cable in most households and commercials -- that's how we learned about new upcoming shows back in the day. Now, it's so hit or miss whether you hear about something in a timely manner.

I wished they didn't do a completely different concept for the second season because I think it could've become one of the best series out there

The reason I preferred the other two timelines was because I like old timey eras, like the 50s and the 80s. The modern era timeline was okay, but just didn’t grab me as much as the other two.

I loved their story line the best. I love Sam Jaeger, he's an incredible actor & my favorite on the show. I also went to school with his wife, Amber, from 4th grade to our senior year. She was always very sweet despite being so popular & pretty. She was friends with everyone from all groups. Just discovered this is her husband a couple years ago which makes me love him even more.
I Love how she turns to her co worker and answers questions when glancing at him. You can tell they respect each other and opinions. They look at each other….i love it.

when he said CHARMING, everyone must have thought of SNOWING from ONCE UPON A TIME
Loved the first season. Ginnifer and Sam were amazing. Lucy Liu was perfection, too. She's absolutely hilarious, and just a great actress. I raced through the season and was sorry it was over. The costumes, interiors, cars, wardrobe - it was so pretty, dazzling, really. Starting Season 2 which feels drab next to S.1, but hoping it steps up to the mark. Follow-up: Season 2 is just as great as Season 1. I gave it twenty minutes and it kicked in brilliantly. Wow. I adored this, both seasons, and Ginnifer and Sam are so compelling. Marc Cherry has definitely made his mark with this show. Great, great acting, dark, mordant comedy, probably one of, if not THE best show on Prime right now. PS I found that this series is best accompanied by several cartons of your favorite ice cream.
Seeing these two, I instantly think Sally Field and Bill Pullman!

I love Sally and Bill. I wish Bill Pullman was in EVERYTHING! I was thrilled to learn that he went to my high school. I have such a crush on him, which is rare for me. I do have my actor-crushes, but Bill Pullman isn't just attractive - he's a great, great actor.
It was perfectly written and executed in every aspect.
The ending was cinematic genius.
The message was loud and clear!

Like why??? And it's even more upsetting when hearing them talk about chauvinism and men getting more respect than women, so...

it's always good to hear actors appreciate writers' & directors' specificness of vision. i was always afraid that people would find it tyrannical when i tried to elicit something that most people wouldn't understand until we had well delivered it.
