I think his infidelities didn't hurt her as much she was willing just to let him live and leave him. But when she found out that he killed her daughter and then blamed her for all this all these years emotionally abusive to her like that. That's when she snapped. @@laurainesacosta4631 for that she would have just left him. But he essentially killed their daughter and then not only blamed her for it, but tried to pretend he never had a daughter
Yeah: as much as him cheating obviously hurt, and as scummy as it is, on its own it's not a crime that deserves murder. But causing the death of your own child and letting your wife blame herself when you KNOW whose fault it is? No wonder she gave up on reconciliation and switched to murder plotting.
@@annacalifornia6498 I agree with that, she should have left him and should not have let things get to the point of killing him, but putting the character in context, she was blindly clinging to him, desperate to maintain her marriage, carrying the blame for the death of her daughter (something that was not her fault), she endured manipulations and psychological abuse from her husband, but as everything has its end, the truth fell on her like a bucket of cold water, when she learned the truth about her daughter's death. her daughter, something in her broke and triggered the events that happened in the end, that was the straw that broke the camel's back, she had enough. She was not right in the head, when someone is not right in the head they can be someone unpredictable, dangerous, she brought out her psychopath side and with everything coldly calculated she killed two (2) birds with one (1) single shot, because she freed herself from her good-for-nothing, narcissistic, sexist, adulterous, irresponsible and lying husband, freed her neighbor from her abusive husband and even did a favor for her husband's lover and the daughter he had with that woman. And she saved the girl that Rob was cheating with as well. That girl would have been equally doomed to a life of misery and constantly having her self esteem trampled - or at the very least life as a single mom with no resources.

Highway Unicorn did you conveniently forget that beth ann’s husband made beth ann believe beth ann was responsible for their daughters death for YEARS? And consciously always treated beth ann like a neglecting mom? That has crushed beth ann. so her husband damn right deserves revenge!
Honestly that was me moving out of my dorm, cause I went from having a day to having only a few hours, cause my mom had to self isolate and my dad had to come get me since the next day he was working.
The look that just says go along with it or she'll kill me too! Betha Ann really went full mastermind psycho never under estimate a house wife they have time to plot.
Fun fact about God's wife. In early writings God was referenced to have a wife. Her name was Asherah. She's referenced as a false god in the old testament and how kings would tear down "Asherah Poles" that were meant to honor her. It's even speculated the line about "We should make them in our image" in the old testament wasn't God speaking to angels or Himself, but rather to His wife. So yeah, there ya go I'm sure God's wife Asherah would understand.
@lizanna6390 God does have a son his name is Jesus. The story of virgin (prior to giving birth to Jesus) Mary. God of the old testament would never want us to worship other Gods. The 'we' is either a misunderstanding on the person who brought it up or referring to the Holy Trinity (The Father, The Son, and The Holy ghost) as the oppose false trinity (The father, the mother, and the son) or maybe it wasn't even God talking in that instance. Heck throughout the old testament when everyone was worshipping false idols guess what God did?
Some religions believe God has a wife. When I asked a few why she isn't mentioned by most their reasoning is that because people are already do disrespectful to God why would God let us be disrespectful to Her? If we don't know about her we can't disrespect Her. They had other ideas, but I thought it was fascinating.
Also, a father knows how his daughter died, and not only does not take responsibility for it, but for years makes the mother of his child feels guilty when he knows she is not. This is beyond cruelty.
The thing about Marc Cherry production is the writing and script are sassy and sound bite-y... Don't get me wrong, IT'S BAD AF, but i cant help to cackled. Like who would say "but God's wife would" ... It's immersion-breaking and silly and unrealistic and robotic sometimes yet it's HILARIOUS!!

Beth Ann is smart as a whip. Literally tailoring this murder to suit both men. She saved Mary and herself.

Well technically the Bible also writes that men should love their wives as themselves, so the men in here did not really follow the Bible either.
I always found it chilling how easy she said how we should kill our husband’s like she’s inviting her over for dinner
It's because they are hurt to the point of becoming cold towards even murder. That explains it right?
